So let me see if I understand. Here’s what Brett Baier seems to have uncovered in his interview with the President.
If the objective is to add a trillion or so the tax-payers bill, to take control of one-sixth of the economy, how you do this is no big deal. Process just isn’t important because, well, there are all those people who need health care.
On the other hand, we can’t water board, we must give trials to terrorists captured on the battlefield because, well, process is critical. Vital. National security just isn’t that big a deal compared to the process of giving Constitutional rights to enemies, something never done before in American history.
Am I missing something here?
