Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO), an early Obama supporter in 2008, has issued a statement saying that the White House did not follow the law in removing Gerald Walpin:

The White House has failed to follow the proper procedure in notifying Congress as to the removal of the Inspector General for the Corporation for National and Community Service. The legislation which was passed last year requires that the president give a reason for the removal. ‘Loss of confidence' is not a sufficient reason. I'm hopeful the White House will provide a more substantive rationale, in writing, as quickly as possible.

Dollars to donuts she met with the administration, and/or top DNC officials, before putting out this statement. Reassuring them that she needs to put out this critical statement to make herself look good. to protect her politica future. And she got their ok. Outside of issuing this (pre-approved) statement, she wont be doing anything to right this wrong. She'll sit on her hands, pretending she has done something or tried to and the IG will remain fired.

Wow, I thought the Senator deserved some praise for her principled (?) statement, but I guess not.

I didn't know I was such a rube.

"Did not follow the law"?

Isn't that the same as breaking the law? The White House broke the law?

Can we expect the Democrats in congress to call for an investigation?

Anyone?

You cannot 'follow the law' when you're committing CORRUPTION!!!!
