Schilling Suspended for Committing Public Truth

How naïve of Curt Schilling to allow himself to get caught telling the truth while being employed by the left political organ ESPN (Every Sport Political Now).

Schilling, the former Phillies, Red Sox and Angels pitcher – he of the bloody sock and good fastball – was suspended by ESPN for saying in a tweet that radical Islamists and the Nazis share the trait of murderousness, and that the number of Muslims who are members of radical groups underestimates the sympathy for murder in the name of Islam, just as the number of Germans who were formal members of the Nazi Party underestimated the support for that version of murderous fascism.

It’s hard to imagine an assertion that is more obviously true than this. But ESPN is not in the truth business, at least when the truth involved is cross-wise to the left agenda that the folks in Bristol, Connecticut feel themselves obliged to cater to. So Curt is on the porch for now. Perhaps he should have restricted his non-baseball comments to praising Caitlyn Jenner.

ESPN didn’t explain why Schilling’s Tweet was offensive, any more than the network said what Jenner did that was so courageous as to fetch the Arthur Ashe Courage Award from ESPN. What ESPN did say was, “Curt’s tweet was completely unacceptable. And in no way represents our company’s perspective.” Apparently that perspective is to keep one’s head firmly in the sand and ignore beheadings and other forms of murder on the part of hundreds of millions of people who would like to see all us infidels dead. Perhaps they learned this perspective from the folks at 1600.

Truth-lovers across the fruited plane may well suspend ESPN from their viewing habits.
