The Clinton campaign is accusing Barack Obama’s campaign of violating New Hampshire state law by using robo-calls that 1) Were made to some people on the “do not call” list and 2) Took 38 seconds to identify which campaign the call was being made from (the law says it must be done within 30 seconds, the Clinton campaign says).
I can’t speak to NH state law, but the transcript of the call, as provided by the Clinton campaign, is rather tame. It’s an attempt by the Obama team to respond to attacks rather than launch some sort of dirty whisper campaign against Clinton:
If this is the best they’ve got , this strikes me as an act of desperation by the Clinton campaign.
