Following the horrific Hamas attacks on Israel and the war’s start, many experts have warned of an increasing terror threat in the United States.
The Daily Caller obtained an internal memo of the San Diego Field Office Intelligence Division of Customs and Border Protection (CBP), which warned that members of Hamas, Hezbollah, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad may be crossing the southern border.
This past fiscal year, the U.S. Border Patrol encountered 169 illegal border-crossers on the U.S. Terror Screening Dataset, also known as the terrorist watchlist.
The weak state of the border is a blatant national security risk. Approximately 7 million people have been encountered crossing the border illegally since President Joe Biden took office, of which 3.8 million were released into the United States. These numbers only include known encounters, and many more illegal entries are suspected.
Border Patrol confirmed that individuals from all over the world are traveling to our southern border. Fox News reports that, this month alone, Border Patrol has encountered over 30 Iranians, almost 60 Syrians, 35 Pakistanis, over 100 Russians, 285 Afghans, and almost 2,000 Chinese migrants.
