Wow! Perry really turned around Ms. Kelly’s question about whether his call for a Holder resignation was “politicizing” the issue. If you missed it, watch the replay whenever it airs. It was an incredibly good answer.
Unfortunately, then he tried to continue his answer, and diluted the effect of his first sentence. Sometimes when you’ve produced an ace, it’s time to take your winnings and stop playing your hand.
As for Santorum, chiming in on the same question, he segued into a broader discussion of hemisperic issues. He was on target on substance, but boring. He SHOULD have homed in on the question of Eric Holder’s unfitness for office, and just gone to town on the Black Panthers, on judges, on civil rights division abuses, on utter lawlessness at DoJ. And he could have done so while praising Meghan Kelly, the questioner, since she has done a good job at Fox of highlighting some of these issues.
It was a badly missed opportunity.
