Pandering to Libs on Race Issues
by

Wlady’s well-timed response, below, to my post defending Gingrich of the “racism” charge is well worth reading. There certainly is a difference between not being a racist, on the one hand, and, on the other, pandering to the left to prove you aren’t a racist. If Gingrich did the latter, as Wlady suggests — and, indeed, it would be very much in Gingrich’s character to do so — then a pox be on him and his house. What’s even more instructive is Wlady’s description of Gingrich’s fist-pounding rage. That’s similar to a point I’ve made previously: Gingrich’s temper is often out of control, AND it tends to manifest itself AGAINST conservatives more often than against moderates. When he disagrees with moderate Republicans, he tries cajolery. When he disagrees with conservatives, he either insults us or he goes ballistic, or both.

Thanks again to Wlady for his post.
