Living with the Biden Government

I can live with the Biden government. I am a rabbi, and I place my faith and trust in G-d. I do my best each day to be the best person I can be and to better the lives of people in my orbit (like my synagogue’s congregants, my family, friends, and neighbors) and in my greater universe (my readers, my American countrymen, and my Jewish co-religionists). That is all I can do. I cannot do more.

I have followed Joe Biden’s path for nearly half a century. He is a crook and a liar, and we all have known that for decades. Like most of our politicians, he probably entered politics to do some good, quickly got corrupted, and learned to live with corruption, convincing himself that some personal corruption is necessary to accomplish anything good. In time the corruption itself overtakes all else, and it no longer is about making a difference. It is about (i) fame, glory, and power; (ii) holding on to it at all costs; and (iii) realizing that government affords an incredible opportunity, through personal corruption, to become extraordinarily wealthy without earning it.

We look at the politicians who milk the system to get rich. Maxine Waters has made a fortune for herself and her husband and family through the system. She keeps getting reelected because her district’s voters are exactly of the sort that make Maxine their perfect representative. Ilhan Omar cheated on a husband or a brother or whatever she was married to, pumped millions of campaign and COVID-relief funds into a company owned by a married guy who promoted her campaign, and then married the guy away from his wife. So she covers her hair like a religious Muslim while engaging in adultery all over the place. They all — or, to be fair, most of them — are corrupt. Those who are not themselves personally corrupt nevertheless are corrupted by empowering the corrupt ones all around them, looking the other way from corruption in their own party while blaring and inveighing like Biblical prophets against the corruption across the aisle.

Obama gave us Trump, and Biden–Harris will give us Trump again or a neo-Trump.

It goes both ways. Republicans attacking Biden but looking askance at their own crooks. Democrats attacking Trump and his family — probably the most personally honest business people ever to occupy the White House — while ignoring the corruption, cheating, looting, and thievery of the Bidens and Clintons, among their various villains, swindlers, and crooks. Trump took no salary. His corporation and hotels took financial hits as Cancel Culture went after them. Donald Jr., Eric, Ivanka — they did not need Washington to get rich. They were doing fine on their own. By contrast, Biden milked and corrupted government to get his brother rich, his sister rich — and, good L-rd — to make a very rich man out of Hunter, who by all odds, would be homeless otherwise if not dead from drug overdoses and STDs.

There was nothing to expect of Biden. When it was OK to be racist, Biden was as big a racist as America has seen since the Ku Klux Klan Democrat of West Virginia, U.S. Sen. Robert Byrd. Biden bragged proudly of Delaware’s slavery past and was buddies with the Confederacy’s strongest Dixiecrats. Later, when racism became politically unpopular, Biden started trying to angle out of racism, but his lifetime of bigotry regularly slips out: 7-Elevens as the sanctuary of Pakistanis and Indo-Asians, Blacks as naturally poor and illiterate, Blacks incapable of thinking outside of a single framework, if you don’t vote for me you ain’t Black. Biden was racist when racism among Democrats was very cool.

He has no values. He is the quintessential politician: lick the finger, put it to the wind, and follow the direction. When Democrats opposed massive illegal immigration of cheap labor from South America because it drive down wages, imperiling the sustenance of Democrat core constituencies — White union workers in the north and Black and Hispanic day laborers in the south who were here legally — Biden opposed it. When Democrats figured out from examples in New Mexico and spreading to California, that massive illegal immigration actually is fabulous because it turns Republican states to Democrat without endangering Black support for Democrats, because Blacks are in their pockets anyway, he became pro–illegal immigration.

Biden has no values. He is rooted and steeped in corruption and lying. Donald Trump often had trouble with truth-telling, but Trump’s followers always understood that he talks, like a 1950s Catskills comedian, in hyperbole and exaggeration. It was understood that Trump’s “facts” often are not accurate, but they are meant to illustrate in grandiose exaggeration deep-seated ideas and truths, policies, and beliefs that he means and will stand by. But Biden is different. He has no policies. He has no beliefs. No ideas. His false “facts” are pure lies aimed at winning votes, not at foreshadowing policies. So he not only will plagiarize speeches but even will falsify his own life story, converting his used-car salesman father to a coal miner for the benefit of the gullible.

There was nothing to expect from Biden. Even his voters were animated more by opposing Trump than by wanting him. Americans — the half who are fools — knew they were putting a liar and corrupt swindler into the White House, just as they sent in with him a Kamala Harris who shamelessly and brazenly slept her way up the Democrat ladder with a publicly married man. These are crooks and liars bereft of morals.

G-d nevertheless has blessed this country many times over. We somehow have managed, whether led by giants or cretins. Bible-based Christians will explain some of this Divine Blessing by quoting Genesis 12:3, where G-d promises to bless those who bless the seed of Abraham, and later in Genesis 27:29 and Numbers 24:9 where G-d repeats the blessing to those who bless the seed of Isaac and Jacob. Others attribute America’s success to “American ingenuity” and “American know-how.” Others point to capitalism, the free market, and unfettered competition as bringing about an incentive to devise the newest and ever-better inventions that offer its creators the greatest possible personal reward. Others point to a society rooted in freedom, which by nature encourages more intellectual creativity and thinking outside the box, rather than a stifling repressiveness that conforms ideas.

Through the past half century, no president really has kept us down for too long. We did fine under Kennedy, and we did fine under Johnson. Nixon proved far less conservative than he said he would be, and Ford was a caretaker. We did stumble terribly under Carter, but Reagan brought us back soon enough. The Bushes were neither here nor there. While Clinton was busy fooling around with women and his wife was cheating in her own corrupt ways, America still did fine as Silicon Valley emerged. Obama did everything possible to suppress growth and economic strength, to crush the creative, and to redistribute wealth, but there remained a repository of greatness and ingenuity that he could not stop, as his efforts to kill the oil-and-gas industry were confounded by advances in hydraulic fracturing. And then came Trump, the cure to Obama, who built the strongest economy in American history until felled by a once-in-a-century plague and pandemic.

We will survive Biden, as we survived Obama. For White Americans, just you wait and see, ’enry ’iggins. Blacks and Hispanics fare their worst under Democrats. It is like clockwork. Lyndon Johnson, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Obama — they all knew what to say to Black voters, to keep them in their pockets, but they uniformly ruined that demographic community when in power. Sure, they created all kinds of government programs for the Black community — but those programs always backfire and sabotage Blacks. That is why each new immigrant group to arrive leapfrogs them — not because of “systemic racism” but because other newcomers, ranging from Irish and Italians and Poles and Germans and Jews and Cubans and Chinese and Koreans and Vietnamese all came to America and determined that they had to make it without government programs.

It is the government programs and their engendering a psychology of victimization that hold back its target recipients, not the falsehood of “systemic racism.” When you are guaranteed some welfare and food stamps as long as you do not earn above a certain amount, you are afraid to give up the free stuff by earning just a bit more. That holds you back from someday earning a ton more. When government guarantees you free this and guaranteed that, the freebies lose their value. So the schools that conduct admissions based on race rapidly lose their elan, while the schools that minimize their “affirmative action” retain their status. It is subtle stuff, but 150 years since the Emancipation Proclamation and 50-plus years since LBJ’s “Great Society” prove the pudding beyond question.

When the government assures free stuff unless the family earns a bit more than the “cut off,” men abandon their wives and children because their added income will cost the household its welfare. So the abandoned mom gets the monthly check, and the boys grow up without a father in the home as a role model for being a man — because, darn it, there are two and only two genders, and boys and men are different from girls and women. As those fatherless boys grow to late teens, bursting with testosterone but without fathers on site at home as role models, they end up as they end up. In the end, one community ends with crime figures that are not replicated anywhere else. A perfect comparative group are the Hasidic Jews and other Haredim found in communities like Williamsburg and other such communities in Brooklyn and elsewhere in New York. Many of them also live with significant poverty issues. By the choice of how they dress and wear their beards and earlocks, they are every bit as discernibly different from the American Caucasian norm as are Blacks. They face incredible discrimination and physical assaults. Yet they do not have the crime figures or imprisonment statistics — because they have fathers at home, and they are taught Biblical values from childhood.

So the next three years will be Biden and Harris, and it is what it is. We survived Obama, and we will survive this. Indeed, every bad thing Obama and the Democrats did laid the groundwork for the Trump Correction. There never ever would have been a Trump if there had not first been an Obama. Rather, we would have gotten a Hillary or a Jeb! Had it not been for Harry Reid ending the Senate filibuster required for consenting to judicial appointments, Republicans never would have gotten all the Trump judges through a few years later. And so it will be now. If Democrats live by Executive Orders and threaten the filibuster, it will come back to bite them, as it always does.

Laws that are passed by Congress are extremely difficult to reverse, but Executive Orders by comparison are a cinch. Trade deals that are passed by majority vote can be overturned so much more easily that can treaties that requires two-thirds for passage. Because Obama entered the Paris Climate deal and the Iran Nuke deal as simple majority-vote deals, they were simple for Trump to squash. Had they been passed by two-thirds Senate vote as treaties — not so simple. So every Biden Executive Order today is one pen stroke away from being reversed soon, in three years. In the meantime, it is a reminder that Democrats rule by fiat whenever they can, by passing the rules of fair voting.

In the meantime, many will be hurt these next three years. Yes. That is terrible, but it is deserved deeply by a foolish electorate that allowed this crook and knave to enter the White House with an equally despicable sidekick. Americans allowed Jimmy Carter in, and Americans got precisely what Americans deserved until they threw him out and brought in Reagan. Obama gave us Trump, and Biden–Harris will give us Trump again or a neo-Trump. It will happen because jobs will be lost, and the fools in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan who sat on their hands will see what their apathy and wrong-mindedness wrought. As Biden destroys our very culture, the foolish married White suburban soccer moms who got conned into believing that Biden is a moderate will be confronted daily with their children coming home from school with all kinds of lies and garbage being taught as curriculum — lies about the greatness of America’s inception and our Founding Fathers, garbage about gender and about what a male and a female are. Throw in some “Black Lives Matter” and other “critical race theory” into the kids’ elementary school and high-school curricula, and it will reap dividends in two years, even as it irreversibly corrupts and destroys some of our children for a generation. But Americans freely brought this about.

We all will emerge from this interlude still better than the Europeans or anyone else, although we will be giving the Chinese a boon. The first test will be in a year and a half as 2022 approaches. If only six congressional districts flip, the House turns. Remember back to what Americans did after two years of Carter, two years of Clinton, two years of Obama.

We will be OK. We could have been ever so much greater because we were on that path, and four more years of Trump would have resulted in some great policies becoming more firmly entrenched. But Americans did not deserve it because Americans, despite having the opportunity, did not do as Americans could have. So we take a step or two back. Our economy gets bruised. Jobs and industries get lost to China. Our culture gets further corrupted. And we prepare for our next peaceful and law-abiding revolution. It all will happen, with but one caveat: we have to put an end to mass unsolicited mail balloting. We can overcome each and every other corruption at the ballot box, but we cannot overcome the corruption that inheres in mass unsolicited mail-in balloting unless we have an advantage of at least 3 to 5 percentage points in the balloting. In 2022 we may even have that, but it is not worth risking.

In the meantime, we are going to be OK. The riding will be unnecessarily rougher than it had to be, and we will lose out what we could have had. But we will be OK. Everyone but Blacks does well under Democrats because, outside of election time, for Democrats Black Lives Never Matter.
