Fortunately, tonight’s sing-along will be at the Sun Dome, on the campus of the University of South Florida, a dozen miles from my house. Trent Merrill, general manager of the Dome, which has recently undergone a $35 million lift and tuck, has pronounced himself thrilled with the booking. I’m happy for him.
I hope and trust Sir Elton will serenade the locals with his most famous and most mawkish number, “A Candle Breaking Wind.”
