Just spoke with NRSC spokesman Dan Ronayne. The bottom line: “People who we’ve ID’d as our voters are going to the polls.” He said that’s true throughout Virginia, and specifically mentioned coastal and southern Maryland, the Tri-Cities area of Tennessee, and the Joplin, Missouri region.
He also said he thought the Kerry “botched joke” helped because it “reminded a lot of people why they think Democrats are pathetic.”
