Why It’s Good to Have John Edwards Around
by
John Edwards eloquently explains how health care mandates work here. A reporter –give that guy or gal a prize — asks, well what if someone doesn’t really want to buy health insurance? Edwards speedy come back: ” You don’t get that choice.” Well, well, a more succinct description of the liberal mindset you will not find. We will tell you what to do, we will determine what your choices are and we will set up a system where: “Basically every time they come into contact with either the healthcare system or the government, whether it’s payment of taxes, school, going to the library, whatever it is they will be signed up.” So it’s not just Hillary, it’s Edwards too and frankly the entire Democratic party’s view of the role of government. On the GOP side none of those who have announced health plans are going down that road and although it would make me and many fiscal conservatives a whole lot more comfortable to have Romney do a ” I learned my lesson” on RomneyCare( heck, Mara Liasson has figured out it is a problem) he is not proposing that going forward.
