Ross Kaminsky draws our attention to an article in The National Post citing a study by researchers at McGill and Concordia University (both in Montreal) which postulates that climate change could mean the end of outdoor hockey rinks in Canada in the next fifty years.
What shall Canadians do?
In the unlikely event that climate change (or anything else) renders outdoor hockey rinks extinct by 2062, there will always be road hockey as demonstrated by Mike Myers and Dana Carvey from Wayne’s World.
Admittedly, I am not a huge hockey fan but here’s what I wrote after Canada defeated the United States in the gold medal game at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.
Besides if they had really wanted to scare Canadians they should have said that climate change would spell the end of curling. What? No more Monday Night Curling? Sweep!!! Sweep!!! Sweep!!!
