The price of listening to Rush Limbaugh?
Letting Al Sharpton have a radio show.
Yes, it’s true. The Reverend Al Sharpton has announced on the Sergeant Schultz Show over at MSNBC that he wants the FCC to take Rush Limbaugh off the air.
And yes, the Reverend Al, who, with the Reverend Jackson composes half of the legendary Justice Brothers, is also the man who has made race-baiting and anti-Semitism a way of life — and as a result has his own radio show on an FCC regulated station. That would be radio station WWRL at 1600 on the dial in New York City. Justice Brother Sharpton’s charming record, for those who have come in late, has been compiled in part by David Horowitz over at Discover the Networks.
It seems that Justice Brother Sharpton the lovely radio host has, among his other activities too numerous mention:
• Helped incite anti-Jewish riots in Crown Heights, New York in 1991 in which a Jewish student was murdered.
• Been convicted of libel for his role in the Tawana Brawley racial hoax.
• Incited anti-Semites against Freddy’s Mart which was burned by one of Sharpton’s followers, killing seven people.
So what we have here with the Reverend Al is a man with a demonstrated record of anti-Semitism and race baiting. And this record has enabled him to have a show on one radio station in New York. One. On the other hand, twenty million Americans across the land listen to Rush Limbaugh — who is, perhaps not coincidentally, long and repeatedly on record as a staunch defender of a color-blind America. And oh yes — free speech.
So perhaps we know the real reason why Al Sharpton wants Rush off the air.
After inciting anti-Semitic riots and fueling a racial hoax, Sharpton has learned there’s one thing he can’t do well in a free society.
