ABOUT THE ROBERT L. BARTLEY GALA
Veteran journalist Robert Leroy Bartley (October 12, 1937 – December 10, 2003) was the editor of the Wall Street Journal’s editorial page for more than thirty years. He won a Pulitzer Prize for opinion writing and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by George W. Bush. Bartley was senior editorial advisor at The American Spectator at the time of his death.
The Robert L. Bartley Gala is a “widely attended” event pursuant to Senate and House Ethics Rules and is limited to full-time, professional staff.
