Hello?
On Wednesday’s Hannity radio show, Sean replayed a clip of his recent TV interview with House Speaker Paul Ryan. Newsmax wrote up the interview, headlining:
Ryan: Trump, Congress ‘Exactly on Track’ With Agenda
Newsmax wrote in part:
President Donald Trump and Congress are “exactly on track” with a shared agenda for new administration’s first 200 days in office, according to House Speaker Paul Ryan.
In an interview airing Thursday night on Fox News’ “Hannity,” the Wisconsin GOP lawmaker said the Oval Office and Capitol Hill are “working on the same plan.”
“What I did during the transition with my counterpart in the Senate, [Majority Leader] Mitch McConnell, is we put together a 200-day plan for the president to get this agenda that we all have agreed on, through the system,” Ryan said.
“And we are exactly on track and on our timeline with our agenda.”
For example, a repeal and replacement of Obamacare is moving forward, he said.
“The plan . . . is repeal and replace this law like we said,” Ryan said. “We ran on a plan to repeal and replace. [Health and Human Services Secretary] Tom Price helped write that plan.”
Ryan specifically said the Congressional Budget Office was scoring a specific plan. Yet there on the Wednesday Hannity radio show were members of the House Freedom Caucus saying they had seen no such bill.
Huh? Hannity was gobsmacked. So stunned that he suggested he would come back to D.C. and do a joint televised interview with Ryan and the House Freedom caucus members to find out what in the world is going on.
To put it gently? Speaker Ryan, you have a problem.
