Speaking to reporters at a news conference at the G7 Summit in Germany, President Obama bluntly stated that if the Supreme Court ruled against him on Obamacare subsidies it would be “a twisted interpretation” of the law and that the court “probably shouldn’t even have been taken up.”
Someone should tell Obama that the Supreme Court is co-equal branch of government. Ditto with Congress. On second thought, if that were to happen he would cry racism.
Naturally, this is classic Obama. Not only does he question the motives of anyone who disagrees with him, but anyone who might disagree with him.
Of course, Obama famously pilloried the Supreme Court to their faces during the 2010 SOTU when he pilloried their ruling on Citizens United.
The Supremes stood there stonefaced except for Justice Samuel Alito who mouthed the words, “Not true.”
No doubt Alito mouthed those words today once again.
