Ray Mabus long-term Gulf Coast restoration plan. Well, okay, but… why the Secretary of the Navy?Isnt the Navy important enough? If Mabs is to do that, it should be his only job, and somebody else should be Sec-Navy. Frankly, this is an outrage. And what does the Navy have to do with Gulf Coast shore restoration anyway?!?!?!?!?!?!?
He’s LECTURING us again. He’s not unifying people, but hectoring us. And he is moving on to “clean energy future” too quickly; we don’t give a bleep right now about clean energy; what we care about is fixing the current problem and containing the oil that has already leaked. He is not really focusing on fixing the current crisis; he is working to use the crisis to his advantage for his alread-existing agenda. Again, he is “not letting a crisis go to waste.” This is obnoxious.
Oh, and here we go on a climate bill…..
“The one approach I will not accept is inaction.” Who is he to say? How about it not being about him, and how about it not being about government “shap[ing] our destiny????
There is something that just seems cold and remote and insincere about him…
Overall, this was a weak effort, with nothing memorable, and nothing specific enough about the current problem, no stirring phrases, not much substance.
