A new Gallup poll has found that 59 percent of Republicans or Republican leading voters say they are “more enthusiastic than usual” about voting this November, which is the highest ever recorded since they started asking in 1994. That year, when the GOP regained control of Congress, just 42 percent expressed similar enthusiasm. In 2006, when Democrats retook Congress, the number stood at 50 percent.
