Everything Is Leading to a Bigger War

by

The world right now is a tinderbox. In the Middle East, Hamas is putting up a fight against the mighty Israel Defense Forces that few would have expected just four months ago. Despite total dominance in the air and in armor, the IDF is taking heavy casualties trying to clean out the snake pits of terrorism financed by oil giants and guided by the geniuses of tunnel warfare, the Russian army.

North of Israel, in Lebanon, a bad fight is brewing between Hezbollah and the IDF. In Syria, always looking for a fight, more of the Hezbollah is gearing up to mount the Golan and fight the crack Israeli Golani Brigade. Syria always loses, but tiny Israel will take serious losses. If Russia joins in with the Syrians — and it always does — Israel will and must fight in the air and on the Heights. There will be losses. The UN will condemn Israel and Israel will bomb Damascus to rubble.

“The world” will — as always — smear Israel, and American students will lie and vandalize and maybe even kill to demonize Israel, always the innocent party.

In Asia, China looks to be ready to drop paratroops into Taiwan, as always the victim. The U.S. has sworn to defend Taiwan. Will we? We had better.

In Europe, a terrifyingly frustrated Russian Federation has no way out but through to NATO. We have to fight. But will we? This is how big wars start. This is how both world wars started. Do we even have a Defense Department that knows what it’s doing?

And then there are Colombia and Ecuador and Cuba all spoiling for a fight. Will we join in?

Why would China want to fight Taiwan? It has zero that China needs. Why would Russia invade Ukraine? Ukraine has nothing that Russia needs. But wars begin for no good reason over and over again.

The only crucial story here is simple: nuclear weapons. We had better get ready to spend every dime we can find to defend ourselves. This is not a joke.
