Advocates of gay marriage are reportedly pleased with the arguments made in favor of their cause before the Supreme Court today, and some are confident that same-sex couples in California will be allowed to marry again.
Why is this an argument? In 2008, California voters approved a ban of same-sex marriage, which became Proposition 8. What happened to states’ rights? Because a handful of people didn’t like the outcome of the vote, they’re going to push their agenda of “tolerance” and “equality” on the American people until they get their way. That’s democracy for you.
