Good points, Jim, although it is important not to make Bush a universal explanation for all the ails of the GOP. Today in The Washington Times, John McCain seems to be scapegoating Bush — and exercise in excuse-making I reject.
Am I the only one who paid attention back when Republicans used to lecture us about accountability and personal responsibility? Why don’t they take responsibility for their own political failures?
