Truth-Tellers Punished
by

While being interviewed on Fox Business News after our community-organizer-in-chief’s pathetic Sunday night address, Lieutenant Colonel Ralph Peters, a very savvy guy on national defense, called Obama “a total pussy.”

Voicing a total grasp of the obvious should not be remarkable. But telling the truth is sometimes punished even on Fox News. Fox suspended Peters for two weeks for using what Fox executives consider rude language. Had I been consulted beforehand, I would have urged the good colonel to use some other form of strong but more acceptable language. But he didn’t deserve to be put on the porch for so precisely pinning the tail on the donkey at 1600. That word has a universally understood meaning in this context, and the shoe absolutely fits.

“Fox Business Network and Fox News Channel do not condone the use of such language,” said Fox Senior EVP Bill Shine. Guess what I called Shine when I read this.

Fox also rung up contributor Stacy Dash for two weeks for saying Obama doesn’t “give a s–t” about terrorism. On the available evidence, this is probably also true, but the word she used is ruder and less precise than the one Peters used.

These truth-tellers will be back.
