With regard to the
photo-shopped image of Karl Rove into a Nazi uniform, the TPP
has issued this statement:
“We did not know about or approve a manufactured image added to
a recent email from the Tea Party Patriots. It was added by
an outside vendor. The image was inappropriate and we have ordered
the vendor to immediately cease further use of the
image.” - Jenny Beth
Martin, Tea Party Patriots co-founder and National Coordinator.
We still await an apology from TPP. Calling something
“inappropriate” is not a direct apology. And the apology should
come from TPP itself, not from some vendor.
Further question: What sort of vendor goes around photo-shopping
anyone into Nazi uniforms, anyway?
The cannibalization on the right must stop.

Quinn, when is the last time you called for Rove to apologize to the Tea Party for his demeaning misstatements and outright lies? Oh, that's right, you never have, have you ?

For the record, dude, yes I have. http://spectator.org/blog/2010.....-karl-rove

If a "vendor" was responsible for this, I would look into sabatoge...by a possible liberal agitator.

Quin:"We still await an apology from TPP. Calling something “inappropriate” is not a direct apology"
OK Quin...let's not pile on and attempt to keep this story alive to further damage the T.P.
We'll leave that to the left and their puppets the MSM.

Who ever is responsible for the photoshopped picture of Rove should apologize, including the TPP. No excuse for that.
Unfortunately the Republican party is at war with itself because the fault lines that exist are exposed. Rove et al are obsessed with driving strong pro-life republicans out of the party. He is complimentary about some like Marco Rubio because an attack on someone Rubio's cuban heritage immunized him somewhat. Otherwise Rove wants the pro-lifers out of the party. A significant chunk of the Party is not only pro-life but if treated this way by the Republicans will not vote. Rove could end this himself today by making it explict that his target is not pro-life candidates ( even strongly pro-life candidates) and naming someone he sees as strongly pro-life that he would support).
That is the bottom line. This is not about the "tea party" at all. One is perfectly safe in establishment Republican circles to advocate deficit reduction and tax limitations.
The conundrum can also be saved by turning to Rand Paul he is pro-life with a Libertarian flavor.
I am strongly pro-life myself but if Rove is sincere and means it when he says we need more Rand Pauls and fewer Christine Odonnells he is correct. It does social conservatives no good to be represented by kooks. On the other hand I am not sure I trust Rove.

I am sure I don't trust Rove, and I try my best to figure out that hybrid libertarian pro-life label.

The cannibalization will stop as soon as the elitest ruling class GOP stops sending out hit men to destroy conservative freedom loving candidates from being elected by the people in place of their "we're all liberals" selctions. Until then, have at Uncle Karl. Glad to see that he and the GOP have finally come out of the closet and admitted who they really are.

Maybe I missed it, but I don't remember Rove apologizing for his comments about the tea party. He just tried to explain them away, like we should not be offended...or something.
