The Spectacle Blog

Unwilling to admit it's an ongoing criminal conspiracy to defraud the people of the United States of America, ACORN has retained Bolshevik Brave New Films to do some of its dirty work for it.

The leftist propaganda factory headquartered in Culver City, Calif., has launched a new website, DeFOXamerica.com, which is an effort to shoot the messenger. Fox is the only television network that has taken much of an interest in covering the ACORN scandal which some commentators say is bigger than Watergate. Needless to say the network has pissed off the far left mightily, especially George Soros's minions at Media Matters for America. (CNN has done a little bit on ACORN, but not much.)

ACORN crime family boss Bertha Lewis is trying to make a buck off the effort. She sent out a fundraising email accusing Fox of being "extremists."

That's pretty rich even for a leftist thug and serial liar.

It's not known how much ACORN had to pay Brave New Films, a 501(c)(4) advocacy nonprofit, to shill for it.

We may never know. ACORN will find a way not to report the related expenditures on its tax returns. Fraud is ACORN's business.

Meanwhile, the congressional ban on federal funding of ACORN expires on the weekend.

I took a look at their website, and I've got to give them credit; they definitely make it easy for an individual to send their message to congress. I'd like to see something like that for conservatives. I'm sending messages regularly to my congressional delegation and it is time consuming to have to go in to each of their separate websites to send the same message. I'm sure there are many conservatives sending the same messages on regular basis. It would be nice to have a single website that offers a menu of issues/responses to chose from that can send three memos (or even five, counting state legislators) with one simple entry. If such a site already exists I'd appreciate it if someone would let me know.

I am also sending emails to Congress demanding no more funding. I continually ask for an investigation of ACORN to determine what percent of the loans they assisted, went into default. It would be nice to have an auto email come out of grassroots.org or something like that.
Congress.org is a good way to send faxes as well.

Visit DeACORN America at http://deacornamerica.com and you can sign a petition there that you can email to your congressmen.

Good idea. I wonder what conservative site would be interested in that?

Wait a minute. You're saying that ACORN has hired a Frim (with OUR money) to 'De-FOX' America? And its' name is DeFOXamerica.com? I thought there already was one of those? Isn't that what ABC, CBS, NPR, CNN, NBC, MSNBC, CNNHLN, and the WHITE HOUSE is doing NOW?

tupre| 10.30.09 @ 11:12AM

ACORN didn't pay Brave New Films anything. They did it themselves because they see that the real CRIMINAL act is convincing America that ACORN, a bunch of well meaning, hard working and underpaid Organizers are bad for America. ACORN has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of Americans. Their work probably benefited a lot of the posters on this site. Cleaned up communities, stopped foreclosures and fought for EVERYONE'S rights as an American. The other networks didn't cover the story b/c it's a trumped up "gotcha" excuse for journalism. I'd love to take a undercover camera into an American Spectator office and entrap them into saying stupid things.

Hear, Hear tupre!!!

I have absolutely no doubt that if you disguised yourself and a friend as a pimp and a prostitute and went in for advice on how to smuggle under aged girls from south of the border for use in felony sex crimes, you would find a warm, sympathetic listener at the Am Spec offices who would offer sage advice on how to use the children as a tax write off.

tupre, you are an idiot.

Oldefarte| 10.30.09 @ 11:51AM

If Acorn is ".... a bunch of well meaning, hard working and underpaid Organizers are bad for America...", then let them FUND/PAY FOR their own operations instead of forcing me and every other TAXPAYER to do so. Also, does 'well meaning' include their EXTREMELY PARTISANED [ie Democrat Party] political activities? You may wish to consider the fact that so called NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS such as Acorn [and many minority churches that operate falsely as religious organizations, but in reality are nothing more than partisaned political firms] should be exposed for their political activities and taxed accordingly!!!!!!!!!!!

SoCon| 10.30.09 @ 1:18PM

Why, yes, just the other day scads of ACORN workers were on my street picking up trash, mowing lawns and signing up new voters at the local cemetery. I owe everything to ACORN.

What a moron.

susan tenofsky| 11.1.09 @ 12:57PM

Why take a camera anywhere; your view of ACORN shows you are obviously blind.

Tim| 10.30.09 @ 12:48PM

BEHEAD THOSE WHO INSULT ACORN!

Ruth Skidmore| 10.30.09 @ 12:59PM

Why does the RNC not have a site where we could let them know how we feel. I feel like emailing them is as useless as emailing my senators Boxer & Feinstein & don't give me that crap tthat Feinstein is a moderate. Check her voting record & you see a liberal.

Marc Jeric| 10.30.09 @ 2:48PM

Let us clear up some terms. Abu Hussein from Kenya is our Community Organizer-in-Chief and as such the top boss of ACORN and SEIU and teacher unions. He has 36 czars in charge of government departments - better called as komissars. Community organizationn were better known in the defunct USSR as local soviets (Lenin's main invention). Now- is everything a bit clearer?

Johnno| 10.30.09 @ 6:25PM

It's very clear. Just watch Glenn Beck, he's got the lowdown on the Marxists in the White House.
