Location, Location, Location

In case you weren't absolutely convinced that NY-23 congressional Republican candidate Dede Scozzafava has becomed totally detached from reality, the location she chose for today's photo-op will erase your remaining doubts.

Dave Weigel passes along a photo and this video that show where Scozzafava decided to hold the photo-op: directly in front of Doug Hoffman's (the Conservative Party candidate) office. As Weigel says, "Little-known fact: There are lots of campaign workers, and signs, in such offices, ready to be deployed."

Words fail. What is she thinking?

UPDATE:

Commenter JohnD points out that Scozzafava is damned by her own words:

This was almost as funny as a Monty Python sketch. On top of being surrounded by sign-bearing supporters of her opponent, she says, "the people should have to opportunity to have their questions answered."

Then why did you call the cops, Dede?

I suppose that next we will discover it was some RNC consultant brain farted that idea out.

Oh my GOD.

She has beclowned herself again.

RINO idiot.

Yikes...the sight of her would be enough to scare a drunk sober! Whats with the bags under her eyes?
Maybe she's not getting much sleep these days given her constant backpedaling and doubletalk. I hope ol Newt has some sleepless nights too over this RNC pick.

Unfortunately for DeDe S., part of the deal for receiving the GOP nomination was her agreement to employ the crack group of consultants, pros and insiders that did such a bang-up job for McCain in 08.

I haven't watched the clip -- but just that picture made me laugh out loud. Is she *trying* to lose this? Throwing the match? Gads.

Too...too...too funny!!!
As laughable as that talking head on CNN when she introduced "Reverend ahh Jaaaaakssson as Al Sharpton"...oops...one little mistake.

Eric Dondero| 10.21.09 @ 7:11PM

Okay, so it now looks like she's gonna lose. Anyone's guess whether Hoffman can pull it out, or whether we just handed a seat over to the Democrats.

More importantly, what's Scazzofava gonna do the day after the election? Will she resign from the Republican Party? Will Conservatives be happy about her doing so?

And if that happens, what's next? A purge of other Moderates like maybe Mike Castle in Delaware, or Rob Simmons in Connecticut?

Why don't we just cede the entire Northeast to the Democrats?

I hope you Giddy Conservatives are Happy.

As a Libertarian Republican I almost wonder if you'll be coming after us, after you all purge the Moderate Wing?
