The world is catching on to his con, and all he can do is steam about it and pray that the neoconservatives come back to power. 13 Israelis were killed in the Gaza "War", whereas 1,100 Palestinians were killed and over 5,000 wounded. But Netanyahu wants people to believe *Israel* was the victim.

I almost feel sorry for the cagey old coot. Israel has been exposed as committing war crimes, by a UN fact-finding mission headed by Richard Goldstone, who is Jewish. What does Netanyahu do? Play the antisemitism card and start ranting about Auschwitz.

So predictable.

My theory is that slaughtering civilians is a war crime. Let me ask you a question - if a Palestinian terrorist killed one Israeli, would that justify an Israeli nuclear attack on the Palestinian Arabs that killed every Palestinian Arab man, woman and child in Palestine? Or, conversely, if an Israeli soldier went off the reservation and murdered a Palestinian civilian, would that justify an attack against Israel that killed every Israeli man, woman and child? Only an absolute monster, an un-Christian, deranged psychopath could answer yes to either, and I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you're not a monster. So we agree that there should be *some* proportionality to a response to an attack. Only a sub-human lunatic would claim otherwise. And any person with an ounce of humanity in them can see that an atrocity committed by one people that slaughters over a thousand and injures many thousands of another people, where the first people only lose a baker's dozen, is wildly and atrociously disproportionate and barbarous.

Really - that's just obvious, and undeniable to anyone without a passionate attachment to one side in this conflict. That being said, what does it matter in the end? Israel could just admit to committing war crimes and atrocities and say they refuse to hold their war criminals accountable under the law, just like we (America) do. Like us, they should take the hypocritical stance that things like "laws" and "treaties" are for other, lesser peoples. The U.S. has set that example, and we really can't blame any other countries for following it.

Is the same UN from whose positions in Lebanon Hamas launched its missals? The same UN whose IAEA continues to thwart the efforts of most of the world to monitor Iran’s nuclear program.
The UN is not an honest broke and has long ago chosen a side.
You missed the context Netanyahu was speaking in direct reply to Ahmadinejad’s denial of the Holocaust.
Iran is actively at war with the US and the west and has been for some time either directly as in its training and provisioning of the Taliban in Afghanistan or the Sader Army in Iraq, or though it active support of Hamas and Hezbollah.
You may choose to see a moral equivalence between Israel and its adversaries but I think you will have to squint your eyes real hard to pull it off.

I have a thing for Bibi. You know why? Because he can, and more importantly will, protect the women and children. It's not fantasy at all to imagine that Israel could be coming to the United States defense 5, 8, 10 years hence.

Contrast Bibi's speech with the jejune quality of the speech that President Obama gave: There isn't enough fine scotch in the world to convert Obama's into something other than Roxbury Inn drivel. Obama, top to bottom: under-developed, at best. Krauthammer is right; it was embarrassing!

Democratization of education has its price, and that price is best observable at the top portion of the education ladder as opposed to the bottom.

I'm not against intervention. I'm against a barren and inarticulate defense of it. I'm against not being able to read without raising your head and looking your people in the eye because you're so buried in your notes on impending collapse.

Mary Louise -- I was just telling my husband last night that we need a president like Bibi. The more I listen to Obama the more I fear for my country. If he won't defend it with his words, how can we expect him to defend it with his actions?

The contrast between Bibi's love and fierce support for his country and Obama's hate (is that too strong a word for his continued bashing of the U.S. and its people?) and denigration for his is so great that his speech made me long for even more for Ronald Reagan.

Malaise -- remember that from the Carter administration? Well we can add to that word -- fear. Fear of our own president. He doesn't give a crap about the U.S. only in himself and his preening in front of a world body. We will pay for this in spades.

Long live Israel and Bibi. God bless them as the world turns against a tiny country in the middle of a rat's nest. Obama has abandoned our allies (not just Israel) and for what? The love of tyrants such as Chavez? What a bargain.

I’m in solidarity with you and your husband. Your rat’s nest description couldn’t be more on point.

I’m a big fan of G. Gordon Liddy for the same reason I’m a big fan of Bibi’s. These men are born and bred to protect women and children, to protect us.

I’ve been battling a mounting antipathy towards GW. Not because I think he didn’t protect us, but because he allowed a ‘five spiral crash’ to take over the Nation as it relates to both the War in Iraq, and the economic crisis that ushered in the current President. GW forced the little guy to bail out the big guy ostensibly for the little guy’s own good. I'm not sure I can either believe that or forgive it.

In his autobiography, G. Gordon tells of an encounter in the prison yard with a fellow convict who was very well practiced in a martial art. This convict agreed to teach Liddy some of what he knew, but only after extracting a promise from him that he would never use anything learned on an innocent.

Bibi wasn’t exaggerating when he said that Ahmadinejad and his minions want to take us back to the 9th C. As awful a place as that was for all ordinary folk, it was execrable for women. The liberties that both high and low took from and against them were legion.

In Gibbon’s Decline and Fall he writes of the German Tribes who used to discuss everything with their wives. Their wives were their partners. A completely different mindset from those Tribes that surrounded parts of the Mediterranean, and for whom their wives were their dogs.

I know Gen. Schwarzkopf wasn’t nearly sold on our invasion of Iraq, and he’s a certainly a man to pay attention to, but he was wrong about Hussein. He said we wouldn’t find him. He asked us to remember Noriega. But we did find Hussein and we accorded him what a Great 21st C Nation accords a monster. The good General did say, when asked if forgiveness was in order for the perpetrators of September 11th, that Forgiveness was God’s responsibility and that our job was to arrange the meeting between Him and them.

May God keep Israel safe and may He grant her the clarity, courage, strength and tenacity to always frustrate the plans of Ahmadinejad and his filthy cabal.

A friend of mine served in Iraq and observed Iraqi men driving their pickup trucks with their dogs upfront and their wives sitting in the open bed in back of their truck! Natanyahu is however correct: Holocausts are stains on humanity. Denying holocausts is quite reprehensible. We need our stand up fiercely adroit prime minster to assure us that the religious edifice erected by us, God’s chosen, people in Palestine, is not the greatest moral joke of the last hundred years and that Israel is in fact not the Ugly Head of Semitism. But, Israel and Mr. Netanyanhu, have never recognized the Armenian Genocide.
