A quick Google search on the name Eleanor Acheson produces a hit on Hillary Rodham's famous 1969 comencement address at Wellesley College:

The Ellie Acheson mentioned is Eleanor "Eldie" Acheson was Hillary's roommate at Wellesley. She is a longtime supporter and close friend of Hillary's.

Four decades later, Eleanor Acheson is vice president and general counsel at AmTrak, where inspector general Fred Wiederhold resigned Thursday without warning or explanation. Sen. Charles Grassley says Wiederhold's unexpected resignation came after he was asked to provide "specific examples of agency interference with OIG audits and/or investigations."

A bit more Googling shows Eleanor Acheson to be a Friend of Joe -- Joe Biden, that is, Amtrak's most famous rider and currently vice president of the United States. Wiederhold has said nothing publicly since his resignation five days ago

Google doesn't tell us whether the former Amtrak IG's curious silence has anything to do with the well-connected legal honcho at Amtrak. At least, not yet. But maybe Michelle Malkin will want to know if there is a connection.

"Probe"?

Next we will be calling a "wet noodle" a "stick".

This smells like a Winter barn pen in Spring. This regime (I am loathed to call it anything else.) is as filthy dirty and corrupt as the most venal of big city governments.

Of course this gentleman (I will give the former IG some benefit of the the doubt.) lacked the spine of the last, and quickly jumped over the fence before the heat was turned up.

Unfortunately, there will be absolutely nothing done about it. My suspicion is that this sort of activity will continue ad naseum.

Maybe enough voters' nose hairs will curl by 2010 and they will careen back to the GOP; or maybe they're so lacking in olfactory sensitivity that a skunk at the picnic is pleasant company.

If you (meaning RSM) had written this script as a teleplay for some show, it would have been dismissed as fantasy. No one could possibly get away with it.

Of course "sreenplay sorts "of folks are big libs, and they could never envision a Republican in any similar circumstance. He'd be in a pillory covered with rotten veggies by now.

That the corruption would be a Lib... well they'd rather consider eating lunch with that skunk.

Play it for all you can... shout it to the hills. Maybe someone will hear.

Cheers... I think...

Hillary's ALWAYS in the mix; she's an Alinskyite, too.
