Gay Totalitarianism

Assault on Chick-fil-A — a finishing touch in America’s Obama-era refresher course in leftism.

Meanwhile, the hypocrisy of the Left was as notable as it was predictable.

All those die-hard opponents of “don’t ask don’t tell” — the Clinton-era policy that asked of gays in the military that they keep their gayness to themselves and stifle it when it came to free speech abruptly turned on a dime. Now they were out to wipe Chick-fil-A from the face of the planet. All because Mr. Cathy was demanding the same rights for Chick-fil-A as gays were demanding in the military and beyond.

Down in Southwest Florida liberal reporter Mark Krzos of the News Press was furious at seeing free speech exercised in his midst, whining on his Facebook page that “The level of hatred, unfounded fear and misinformed people was astoundingly sad. I can’t even print some of the things people said.”

So this means Mr. Krzos wants to shut down Occupy Wall Street? It gets better. Krzos went on:

I have never felt so alien in my own country as I did today while covering the restaurant’s supporters…. It was like broken records of Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh and a recitation of half-truths and outright lies…. Such a brave stand… eating a go**amn sandwich.

So this guy feels “so alien” in his own country because he comes face to face with free speech? What country is Mr. Krzos living in? Cuba? North Korea? Perhaps Iran… where they execute gays, as opposed to America where gays are both hired at Chick-fil-A not to mention served just like anybody else who shows up hungry.

Where did Krzos learn that free speech was all about only hearing that with which one agrees? “Informed” speech or speech that is deemed “acceptable” or not filled with “hatred.” If “hatred” were the issue, then Mr. Krzos would be in jail right now for hate speech.

This issue has in fact nothing to do with Chick-fil-A or with gays. What’s really going on here is yet another non-shocking revelation that the Left, whether in America or anywhere else, is now and has always been addicted to some variety of totalitarianism.

There is nothing at all new here.

As we have mentioned before, leftist intolerance for dissent and opposition is as old as the blood soaked guillotines of the French Revolution. Not to mention the Revolution’s 20th century descendants from Communists to the Nazis (aka the National Socialists) to their more modern American cousins like all those progressives who hid for decades behind the hoods of the Ku Klux Klan or a few decades later appeared as Bill Ayers and his bomb-setting brethren in the Weathermen.

Most recently these people were on the prowl in the Sandra Fluke dust-up, haughtily demanding that Rush Limbaugh be silenced by removing him from the airwaves. And at various times with various affect they have targeted Lou Dobbs during his CNN tenure, Glenn Beck at Fox, and Pat Buchanan at MSNBC. Not to mention the big push from the early Obama White House itself to try and shutdown Fox News with repeated attacks.

We haven’t even touched here on those little gems of fascism on various college campi known as “speech codes.”

All of these events and moments are decidedly of a piece.

They have nothing — absolutely nothing — to do with being French in 1789, a Russian post-1917, a German in the 1930s, or an American in the 1920s or 1960s. It matters not whether one is a talk radio or television host in the 21st century, or gay, black, a woman, a fast food operator or a college student.

The core of this first, last and always is the beating heart of the Beast that is the Left.

Emmanuel, Bloomberg, and Menino should all be sued under Section 1982 or the US Civil Rights code. Since when do mayors have the right to ban business because of the Christian belief of it's owners freely expressed? Religion is one of the protected classes under the Civil Rights Acts. What would be the reaction if these guys said we will never give a permit to black chicken resturants?

Aristocat| 8.7.12 @ 6:24AM

Two weeks ago, Dan Cathy, CEO of Chick-fil-A, an Atlanta company famous for its juicy chicken sandwiches, appeared on "The Ken Coleman Show" to air his biblical belief that those who champion same-sex marriage are risking divine retribution upon us all.

"We are inviting God's judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, 'We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage,' " said Cathy. "I pray God's mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is about."

Speaking of the company his father started after World War II, Cathy went on, "We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives."

With 1,600 restaurants and 50,000 employees in 40 states, Chick-fil-A is among our fastest-growing food chains. Obedient to the commandment, "Remember thou keep holy the Sabbath day," Cathy closes his outlets on Sundays.

So, we've got the Gun Running, Blacks Only Attorney General, is looking into Alleged Money Laundering at The Sands Casino in 2005, involving the Same Mexican Drug Cartels that he, and his "Magic Negro" Pal, gave 2,000 High Powered Automatic Assault Weapons to, resulting in the MURDERS of Hundreds of Mexican Men, Women, and Children.

We have a Patently Racist Attorney General, who never met a Black Panther standing outside a Voting Place in Military Fatigues, and Verbally Assaulting WHITE Voters as they came up to Vote, that he didn't like, is looking in to Alleged Money Laundering at The Sands Casino in 2005.

We have a President, who used to ask his Male Associates at the Harvard Review for Sex, using his Voter ID Hating Attorney General, to look in to Alleged Money Laundering at The Sands Casino in 2005. Just don't go to where he works to ask him about it unless you have one of those Racist Photo IDs. Because you can't see him without a Racist Photo ID. You can't even Enter His Building without a Racist Photo ID.

Let's recap, shall we?

We have the most Corrupt Administration ever, going after their Opponent's Biggest Donour.

We have the Biggest Crook to ever sit at The Justice Department, going after a guy for Blatant Political Reasons, because he might be a Crook.

And, last but not least, we have an Administration that has JOHN CORZINE on the Payroll, looking into Alleged Money Laundering at the Sands Casino, in Las Vegas, in 2005.

This Nightmare has to end.

TLP| 8.7.12 @ 7:40AM

What does this have to do with Chicken, Emanuel, Menino, and the Brain Dead Welfare Zombies in D.C.?

Everything.

STOP IT! STOP IT! STOP IT!

You sound like a pack of HYENAS! A pack of rabid HYENAS!

Stephanie| 8.7.12 @ 7:19AM

The best and most laughable moment in this latest distraction from the campaign was Ballerina Rahm talking about "Chicago values". No, I guess a God fearing, God loving Christian is not a part of the values of a city that is run by corrupt politicians and stands by to let it's black citizens kill one another and live in squaller.

Occam's Tool| 8.7.12 @ 10:53AM

I think Rahm has a murder rate to attend to, and an unemployment rate that is dreadful, and a cost of living in the city that sucks salmonella laced yolk, before he worries about a decent Corporation that gives its workers Sundays off and contributes greatly to communities it is in (in addition to having great chicken salad sandwiches and great chicken soup).

My dad, a resident of Park Ridge, IL, asked me if I ever wanted to return to Chicagoland when he visited me recently. I said---"I would rather have my legs sawn off first than leave rural Minnesota for Chicago." My wife agreed. Illinois is a wreck precisely because of vermin like Rahm, who make common cause with Louis Farrakhan.

Just Blacks killing Blacks.

Aristocat| 8.7.12 @ 6:20AM

And Romney completely missed the boat on this one....Get this: Opposition to "gay" marriage is the #1 most popular issue for Republicans...It has been defeated 31 times out of 31 tries in states as liberal as California....

Jack in Wi| 8.7.12 @ 6:26AM

I agree Aristocrat: When Romney goes in the tank this November because the base did not come out, they will blame conservatives, 90% of the party, and say that it is our fault, not the worthless candidate the elites put up. It almost seems like Romney wants to lose and go sit in his 35,000 Sq. ft house on the California coast. He sure as hell is running a rotten campaign so far.

Doctor Right| 8.7.12 @ 9:24AM

Give it a rest, Jack.

Romney is NOT "going down in flames;" the only people who could do him damage (aside from the Left) are the moronic Paul-Bots like yourself who keep threatening to sit this one out because Dr. Ronnie didn't get the nomination.

Whatever...

Most of Paul's supporters WILL vote for Romney because they understand the consequences of another 4 years of Obama.

And besides...the loss of any Paul-Bots on election day s more than made-up for by disaffected Democrats who will be crossing the aisle.

Go cry in your sauerkraut...

Warrior| 8.7.12 @ 8:35PM

Ron Paul supporters need to support Romney. Any change will be incremental. We can hope that Romney embraces "r"epublican values. We already know that the fundamental transformation to the far left will continue if Obama gets re-elected. The country is not ready to embrace Ron Paul's Libertarian/Conservative agenda. Maybe they will embrace Rand Paul 8 years from now.

CJW| 8.7.12 @ 9:37AM

Jack
Who are you voting for Obama or Romney? Who do you want to win?

Frank Drackman| 8.7.12 @ 9:45AM

Who cares who Jack is voting for?
If he can't vote for Ru he'll vote for the Muslim.

Mr. Bob| 8.7.12 @ 10:12AM

How in hell could anyone get excited about electing Romney? We have already lost the election.

Obama knows he's a shew-in. No doubt about it.

A pity that we could not nominate a presidential candidate with some likability, some personality. How can I identify with this professional politician billionaire? Who the hell could?

Doctor Right| 8.7.12 @ 11:15AM

Sorry, "Bob," but you obviously don't get it.

This election is not about "getting excited about Romney," it's about getting RID of Obama!

To that end, I will be voting for WHOMEVER the GOP nominates, because that person is the only alternative.

It's a shame...and shameful, too...that folks like you have already succumbed to Obama's propaganda and thrown in the towel.

I see nothing unlikeable about Mitt Romney:

Smart? Check.
Family man? Check.
Understands the private sector? Check.
Loves is country? Check.
Executive-level experience? Check.

Is he Ronald Reagan? No...but who cares??? Only Ronald Reagan was Ronald Reagan, and he's not running.

I'm really getting sick and tired of all the whining and complaining. "Oooh, he's not Conservative enough!!!'

Well guess what? It's Romney, or Obama; that's it.

So either get onboard, or get lost.

Libertyinfinite| 8.7.12 @ 11:53AM

What if Mitt Romney is so arrogant that he has just personally sworn to never ever fight for conservative values in America? He has. There is a story with video on newsmax & a link to it on this page. What you guys who don't care about Romney get wrong is that you'd have to be better than obama, if you wanted to win. Romney is not better than obama, he is worse.

Also by newsmax last week, his tax reform plans were found to only benefit those making 1 million dollars or more a year, & cost money to those making less than 200 thousand a year.

Still don't care how bad he is, as long as he's not obama? Mitt Romney is the right going full on marxism, corruption, insider game playing, & the end of America as we knew it. Sorry, Mitts' not in.

Doctor Right| 8.7.12 @ 12:09PM

Better with Obama?

Romney is WORSE than Obama????

Romney is a crypto-Marxist????

You have no idea how stupid you sound, do you?

Skippy| 8.7.12 @ 5:39PM

He's a troll.

Libertyinfinite| 8.7.12 @ 11:47AM

Mitt Romney has now personally & permanently vowed never to comment on any social issues in America. He says that it detracts from his campaingn message, which is money. The story is on newsmax, & you can find a link to it on this page. Romney also refused to comment on the recent statements by Michelle Bachmann.

With Romney now personally vowing never to fight for conservatives, will anything change?

I don't think that most people on the right really know how deeply liberal Romney is. & how completely not conservative he is. Arrogant about it to. See the story with video on newsmax.

Von Mises Jr| 8.7.12 @ 6:50AM

"The Origins of Totalitarianism" (Hannah Arendt -1948) educates on the "Jewish Question" with the totalitarian persecution of the Jews by Nazi forces, but points out that totalitarianism was most perfected under Stalin in the USSR.
Paul Kengor's new release "The Communist" discusses Obama's mentor Frank Marshall Davis, the communist grandfathers of Valerie Jarret and the communist influences on David Axelrod. We also know Hillary admired the USSR and several of the Czars such as Ron Bloom, Anita Dunn and Van Jones praised Mao and communism.
The book explains that totalitarianism is reached by "atomization" of the masses. First, mobs are utilized to destabilize the nation. But the ultimate goal is to create isolated and fearful masses.
This is achieved by terrorizing the masses. The terror is arbitrary and begins with the persecution of undeserving groups. In Russia, this was realized to the fullest extent to date whereby Russian comrades would disappear and family members were intimidated into never mentioning their name again in public. It was as if they never existed.
So this regime punishes those such as Sarah Palin and Dan Cathy whom dare to speak out against the party intimidation, and groups such as the TEA Party and the Catholic Church become the targets of the regime. I happen to be a Catholic, TEA Party Patriot, so I take this personally. But next, they are coming for you until you either stop them or melt into the terrorized masses.

CJW| 8.7.12 @ 9:40AM

Von
Well said. The leftist totalitarians, the Commies, killed over one hundred million in the last century in their quest to impose their view.

Von Mises Jr| 8.7.12 @ 9:58AM

They are failing miserably with their plan. They announce quietly that they wish to reduce the world's population by 80%.
That is 4.8 trillion people. Long way to go for their success.

DRed| 8.7.12 @ 10:32AM

Who are they? When did 'they' announce this?

Occam's Tool| 8.7.12 @ 10:55AM

Need to read some Sanger writings, DRed. Eugenics, ya know.

PP is particularly good at killing Black Babies, just as Barack Obama denies them access to private schools in Washington, DC. It's those damn elitist Republicans who restored the Opportunity Scholarships over your buddy's opposition.

DRed| 8.7.12 @ 11:17AM

So because Margarent Sanger (who, by the by, hated abortion) believed in some form of eugenics 80 years ago, modern liberals plan to murder 4.8 trillion people. Gotcha.

KyMouse| 8.7.12 @ 11:49AM

What is your source for claiming that Sanger "hated abortion"?

She wrote in "Woman and the New Race," "The most merciful thing the large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it."

For those unfamiliar with Sanger, she was a racist who advocated limiting the reproduction of people she considered inferior, including those with mental or physical disabilities, and non-whites.

She approved the infamous Negro Project developed by Dr. Clarence Gamble in the 1930s. The project involved recruiting black ministers, who would then encourage black women to use birth control, thereby reducing their numbers.

Today, Sanger's ultimate legacy is Planned Parenthood, whose facilities are usually located in or near neighborhoods that have high numbers of black (or other minority) residents.

Abortion is the leading cause of death for black American babies. Between 1882 and 1968, 3,446 black people were lynched in America; that number is now surpassed within just 3 days by abortion.

DRed| 8.7.12 @ 12:01PM

Ha. Here's something else she wrote in Women & the New Race: "while there are cases where even the law recognizes an abortion as justifiable if recommended by a physician, I assert that the hundreds of thousands of abortions performed in America each year are a disgrace to civilization."

sickofit5| 8.7.12 @ 11:55AM

Hey dago, Maggie was a Fabian along with GB Shaw. They all believed in eugenics for a more "perfect society."

CJW| 8.7.12 @ 12:06PM

Dred
Von and I were discussing leftist totalitarians, such as the commies who killed over one hundred million persons. You respond in the name of "modern liberals" so do you take leftist totalitarians to be the same as modern liberals? And you seem to dismiss the murder of over one hundred million.
What do you mean by "some form of eugenics?"

DRed| 8.7.12 @ 12:21PM

The Nazis, for example, actively murdered people they thought were unfit. That's one way to practice eugenics. Here in the US we had involuntary sterilization. You could, say, abort all children who were going to be red heads. That would be another form of eugenics. Or you could do something where you encourage certain groups to have more children. I dunno-all people from group X don't have to pay taxes if they have 4 or more children.

Von Mises Jr| 8.7.12 @ 1:23PM

CJW,
Forget Dredful. He is a troll and he is not smarter that a fifth grader. You are wasting your time.

DRed| 8.7.12 @ 1:51PM

I bet most fifth graders can figure out there's not really a UN (or whatever) plot to murder 4.8 trillion people. But you can't.

DRed| 8.7.12 @ 2:37PM

I mean, 4.8 trillion. That's pretty shocking! You'd think people would be upset. Let me guess-the plan is super duper secret. Is it part of Agenda 21?

JD| 8.7.12 @ 2:50PM

As liberals have long been fond of lumping together their many disparate enemies and tarring all with the sins of any, it seems ironic that DRed is upset that the beliefs of one past liberal might be brought up in conversation.

In another conversation, I'm sure DRed and his friends will not hesitate to accuse all modern conservatives of wanting to reinstitute slavery or some other act of some ancient group that modern liberals also dislike. Just below Jack London is expressing righteous indignation at my claim that conservatives aren't the same as white supremacists.

Will they ever see the hypocrisy?

Von Mises Jr| 8.7.12 @ 3:44PM

JD, Dredful will be the first to be gassed. They rid society of the mental midgets first. Second, the socialist get rid of the gays.

DRed| 8.7.12 @ 4:09PM

Von, who is going to gas me again? The UN? Is it the bilderberg group? I'd really love to see where you got that 4 trillion murders from. A wildly out of context quote? Something Alex Jones made up? Maybe not Alex Jones-I think you're more into Ron Paul's buddy Lew Rockwell's form of delusional conspiracy.

CJW| 8.7.12 @ 3:44PM

Von,
Probably another name used by the troll purpie, same drivel.
Notice he glosses over the one hundred million killed by his comrades, with smug comments about killing people who have more than four children and do not pay taxes, and still fails to see how he equates liberals with leftist totalitarians.

DRed| 8.7.12 @ 4:10PM

Smug? You asked me what I meant by different forms of eugenics. I answered your question.

TLP| 8.7.12 @ 4:34PM

What is wrong with you?

Everything these people have said is true.

Margaret Sanger saw Abortion, as a way to Cull the Herds of Negros, and other Inferior Races.

George Bernard Shaw envisioned a GAS, that would Liquidate the Masses, that they might be more easily controlled.

Karl Marx thought that: If we could only Eliminate 300 MILLION PEOPLE, his Socialist/Communist Workers Paradise, would be that much easier to Implement.

These are all FACTS.

You're a Smart Boy.

LOOK IT UP!

TLP| 8.7.12 @ 4:38PM

I like you, but you've gotta stop with the Bullshit.

Everything you say "Isn't True" is in The Public Record.

You don't win any converts, by IGNORING the Truth, while spitting out Talking Points.

Now, I want TWO BEERS.

Von Mises Jr| 8.7.12 @ 5:34PM

TLP, Don't like DRedful too much. After they get rid of the mental midgets and the gays, they come for the useful idiots.
The totalitarians figure that if useful idiots are that easily lead, they can be turned. They are too shallow to think for themselves and could pose a threat in the future.
Just feel sorry for him. He has at least two strikes out of three with his IQ and being a mind-numbed robot. I don't even want to know if he is a target on all three counts.

DRed| 8.7.12 @ 4:47PM

Sanger saw birth control and immigration controls as the way to keep the inferior races out of America. Seriously-she didn't like abortion. Here, don't take my word for it. Read what she wrote yourself and decide.

http://www.nyu.edu/projects/sa.....236637.xml

http://www.bartleby.com/1013/10.html

She was pro-life and anti-immigration and welfare. Almost your kind of woman, I would think.

Von claiming that some non-specific they wants to get rid of 4.8 trillion people is a comically paranoid fantasy.

Now you want two beers? I thought liberals were the ones always demanding stuff for free.

TLP| 8.7.12 @ 6:40PM

NYU EDUCATION?

That's your source?

You must really think that we're Stupid.

DRed| 8.7.12 @ 6:52PM

No, that's the website which hosts the source, which is a letter written by Margaret Sanger. Surely we can agree that Margaret Sanger is a decent source of information on Margaret Sanger?

TLP| 8.7.12 @ 8:48PM

We have HER WORDS.

They're a part of our HISTORY.

She wrote a Letter?

Obama says "I'm the Best Friend that Israel has ever had".

Does that make it so?

Stop it, already.

You're making a FOOL of yourself.

Maybe I misjudged you.

Von Mises Jr| 8.7.12 @ 8:03PM

TLP, Communist lie. Sanger was a communist and of course she is going to lie in her propaganda. We are not stupid. Either DRedful is also a communist or he is stupid.

TLP| 8.7.12 @ 8:49PM

I'm starting to think that he's BOTH.

DRed| 8.7.12 @ 9:31PM

You may not be stupid, but you sure are willfully ignorant.

Bill8472| 8.7.12 @ 10:00AM

Paul Kengor's earlier book, Dupes, is better on the evolution of totalitarianism among the Soviets and their American friends than his new book The Communist is.

Libertyinfinite| 8.7.12 @ 12:01PM

& with Mitt Romney now personally swearing that he will never fight for conservative values in America (story on newsmax see link on this page) there isn't going to be anything but leftward motion in this fight. Romney is pro totalitarian marxist nanny state, obviously, or he wouldn't do such things as vow never to fight for conservative issues. He is arrogant enough to say that it detracts from his campaign message which is money. With the right looking to Romney, & Romney going full on left, American freedom has zero chance. We need a real leader. We need a conservative.

Stkman| 8.7.12 @ 1:36PM

Romney doesn't have to push conservative values. Conservative values will push themselves. Look how poorly it works when Obama pushes liberal values, or should we say absolutely no values? It hasn't worked because Americans are still conservative by nature. Liberals are a small but vocal and angry group that the majority has now decided to tell to shut up and be happy with the gains you have made in the last 30 years because thats all your getting. The conservative majority has finally decided enough is enough and it doesn't need Romney or anyone esle to "push" it.

Libertyinfinite| 8.7.12 @ 1:59PM

So electing a guy to the presidency who has just sworn that he will never stand up for conservative values in America is a good thing? I don't think that you really understand, if Romney won't fight, these issues will go left. The American People have zero power in America. The American People are capable of changing nothing. Your attitude that standing behind the forward march of liberal ideology because the American People got this won without a word, is insane.

Freedom is not free. If we were to change this nation back to a nation of free people, we would have to all work under a conservative leader.

The people that support Romney do so not because they believe that he is better, but because they still think obama is worse. The truth will come out about what Romney is, & the right will fail to be a political party in America.

The Tea Party might rise but it would be too late to save anything, & wholly powerless.

Stkman| 8.7.12 @ 2:51PM

No Libertyinfinite,
I do get it, we all just saw it. It's you who doesn't get it. Americans just stood up for their conservative beleifs and kicked the crap out of liberals and the gay movement. This is just the begining. Go back to your basic math my friend. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. For years the liberals, radicals and gays have been pushing an agenda. That agenda just met the first reaction. It will be an equal reaction meaning it's not over. It's just begining and will last for 20-30 years. Americans are fully involved now. We realize the enemy is anyone who believes in everything, for they believe in nothing at all. Only Liberals believe in everything, because they have no beliefs at all.

TLP| 8.7.12 @ 4:40PM

When dealing with Libertyinfinite?

Think: Dumb Bitch.

Gary B| 8.7.12 @ 7:09AM

The sleeping giant awakens a little more to discover that Obama and his ilk are nothing more than common mobster wannabes. Punks like him are a dime a dozen. They survive and run riot only through society's negligence. Perhaps that's finally being recognized. This good vs. evil drama is the battle of the century. The stakes are very high and the outcome is close at hand.

Joellen| 8.7.12 @ 7:35AM

Hey Mark Krzos YOU LIE! I wasnt even there yet I know not one of those AMERICANS said anything vile to you or anyone else. In this age of instant capturing on video, where's your proof? You like the dems who lied about the Tea Party are so typical in your Saul Alinsky attacks. Your problem now is the American people are on to you. So I'll say it again YOU LIE - now go hide behind your computer and try and come up with some other attempt of defending your agenda.

Mimi | 8.7.12 @ 8:01AM

Where is Romney....? Where is Romney...? WHERE IS ROMNEY...??? While the People expressed Liberty and Freedom standing in line wrapped around a Chick-a-Fil restaurant.
When is HE about to get on the same page as "The People"
He should be RUNNING to the GOAL with the
"ENOUGH" message...We are living through a re-birth of affirming our basic rights, freedoms and liberty....The FAR LEFT has gone too far to try to make us like them and think as they do...they are demandng known TRUTHS to be abandoned. THE PENDULUM SWINGS back with great vigor....We just need NOVEMBER 6th to seal the deal...Where are you ROMNEY?....????

Stephanie| 8.7.12 @ 8:28AM

Romney was hiding behind "I can't alienate the gays". Good question, where does the Mormon church stand on gay marriage?

Peppermint Tea | 8.7.12 @ 9:39AM

IMO, Romney is acting presidential by avoiding the vitriol. He wants to be president of all America and not take side in the culture wars. I doubt he is really worried about alienating gays.

The Mormon Church teaches all sexual relations outside of traditional marriage are SIN, but having same-sex attraction is not a sin unless acted upon. It took most of the heat for its organized support of California's Prop 8 (against Gay Marriage) in 2008. The church supports measures that are designed to promote the family. See https://www.lds.org/topics/family-proclamation.

Stkman| 8.7.12 @ 1:39PM

I think you are correct Peppermint. Why should Romney throw gasoline on the fire. Americans stood up, just as we should have been standing up all along and finally said "Enough, we know who you are, and we know what your agenda is and we are saying NO!"
We don't need Romeny to fight this fight, its everyones fight. We should take care of moral America and our conservative beleifs and let Romney concentrate on doing what is fiscally right for America and her people.

Libertyinfinite| 8.7.12 @ 2:06PM

You do know that only a third of American vote, & the vast majority have no idea what for, right? You do know that America is driven by a marxist compliant nanny state society social order that prohibits the American People from gaining any power whatsoever over any of their governments, don't you? The medias of everyhome, U.S.A, the schools, the whole of our entertainment industries, all of these things drive America into compliance of marxist nanny state society.

The American People are out of power. The Tea Party does nothing that even comes up anymore.

If we were ever to change America back from what it is now, we would first need a leader who does not stab us in the back every time that he gets a chance.

You don't understand where we are, if you think that we can do this under liberal leadership like Mitt Romney.

Stkman| 8.7.12 @ 2:56PM

you do know you have a defeatest attitude don't you? I'm not worrried about the November election. If Obama and the Democrats steal the election then they steal the election. What would it mean if 5 days after the stolen election 10 million armed Americans march on Washington D.C. and the so called commander in chief finds he has no authority to order the Armed Forces of the United States to stop us. That will be the real election if it comes to that.
Quit relying on Romney or even Ron Paul and start relying on yourself and your neighbors who feel like you do. We are all tired of it and we are all ready to do something about it. The eelction is the opportunityfor liberals to realize they tread softly. Liberals need to realize that they have awakened a sleeping giant, and the giant is pissed off about having his nap interupted.
The liberals went to far and many of them know it.

Libertyinfinite| 8.7.12 @ 12:05PM

Romney has just sworn never to fight for conservative values in America. See the story on newsmax, there is a link on this page.

The right needs to boot him out & get someone who is conservative. America will go full on left with romney leading the right.

He swears he'll never fight for conservatives, but it doesn't seem to be making any news, people like you still evect romney to do something. Don't hold your breath.

Anthony| 8.7.12 @ 8:26AM

Sad to say the great Ronald Reagan was indeed corrrect, "we ain't seen nothing yet".
The left are in full attack mode, Obozo is dismantling America faster that Harry Reid can lie through his vile mouth.
I'm afraid this clean-up is going to take more than just an election.

Stephanie| 8.7.12 @ 8:29AM

I don't know that we will win this election.

Anthony| 8.7.12 @ 9:16AM

True Seph, which is why there will be a clean- up, win or lose. Novemeber is going to be one for the history books.
We cannot continue like this as a society. The raw hatred and totalitarian push from the left will not stop with an Obozo loss.
Sadly, America must make a decision as to which direction this country wants to go. Obozo was right, this is a seminal election which will determine which way America will go.
But win or lose, the losers are going to have something still to say. It just depends which side loses and how the victors will respond.
I'm afraid we are beyond elections, and our leaders are responsible for this. Once again, they diddle while Americans tear each other apart. Only after November, it will be for real.

scotchieguy| 8.7.12 @ 10:26AM

There will be riots. Either after Zimmerman is acquitted or after Obama loses in a landslide in November. I think it is going to get very ugly before it gets better, if it gets better.

It was a nice run.

Stephanie| 8.7.12 @ 1:00PM

Is this why obama is giving himself power to shut down the internet if he deems it necessary? Is this why the US military is telling soldiers that the next battle will be on US soil against it's own people? (see Tea Party) My suspicious nature has me see some "event" that will happen close to Nov. 6th and obama will declare martial law and "postpone" the elections because it couldn't be done fairly. And I also see the my congressman and others sitting with their thumbs you-know-where, doing nothing. Boehner, McCarthy and Cantor are such a disappointment to me because they don't work for us anymore. It's all falling apart and they do nothing. Their refusal to defund obamacare was the last straw for me and those bastards.

Al Adab| 8.7.12 @ 5:11PM

The event you postulate is likely to step from the riots by the Occupy folks which will take place at both national party conventions this summer. They intend to disrupt then with hopes of causing cancellations. Think Chicago and Miami 1968, without the police controlling the outcomes.

loulou| 8.7.12 @ 10:49AM

Even if we win this election, we're stuck with a RINO Bush-type. We have to focus on getting constitutional conservatives elected at the local and state levels and especially for Congress.

Libertyinfinite| 8.7.12 @ 12:09PM

The right won't win, Mitt Romney has just personally vowed never to fight for conservative issues. It would have taken an all out effort to save this nation anyway. The fact that people like you think that you can elect romney & then freedom becomes automatic, quite frankly is what got us here. No Romney won't win, but in all reality, the American People are no longer capable of getting or keeping any freedom. It would have been constant work. Even the right expects freedom to be handed out for nothing. Sorry, freedom doesn't happen without the work.

Stkman| 8.7.12 @ 1:58PM

Give it a rest already. You have no ideal what the American people are capable of. Eveidently you didn't read the article, nor do you understand what really took place. Americans stood up to the bullies of the left and gave them a thumb in their eye. Americans are not afraind of the left. Now that we no the Republican party won't stand up for the common man, the common man and woman has decided to stand up for themselves. I personally thought we would have to have a revolution, blood in the streets and all that. Not now. Not after seeing Americans find a rallying place. It just happened to be a fast food resturaunt. Only in America. Chic fil a was just the begining. Americans will never back down to the liberals again. The gays put themselves and liberals on the run because they pushed too much and thought they had taken away our values. Well guess what, most Americans still yearn for traditional family values, even if their leaders don't.

Libertyinfinite| 8.7.12 @ 2:15PM

You obviously have no idea where America is today. One third of Americans do not vote & most who do, don't know what they are voting for. So standing up for a guy who will stab us in the back every time he gets a chance is good why?

If the American People were so powerfull, why not form a Tea Party ticket & throw republicans off? As long as you believe in parasites for your leaders, you will never have won any thing of any real value.

If you think that the American People can go into civil rebellion without a leaders you are sadly mistaken.

Jack London| 8.7.12 @ 8:45AM

So I take it you all actively support discrimination against gay people, as you no doubt fund or support the same same anti-gay organizations as the Chick-fil-a CEO.

Now who's totalitarian?

DRed| 8.7.12 @ 8:56AM

Nobody. Nobody in this argument is totalitarian.

TLP| 8.7.12 @ 4:52PM

OMG.

Was that a moment of Common Sense?

Maybe there's hope for you, yet.

Joellen| 8.7.12 @ 8:59AM

Jack - you are truly a "USEFUL IDIOT" and/or a pure communist. You mean to tell me you dont support freedom of speech? You wont allow one to have his/her religious belief? You & the useful idiots on the left are so weak this is all you can opt for. Please, take a moment sit in a corner and reflect on your patheic comment and come back and ask the readers for forgiveness for your inane remarks.

C. Vernon Crisler | 8.7.12 @ 9:32AM

"This issue has in fact nothing to do with Chick-fil-A or with gays. "

Jack had just illustrated why Jeffrey is incorrect in claiming this is not about gays. It's all about gays. Or more specifically, it's all about equating gays with blacks. As long as "conservatives" continue to accept the equation of behavior with race, there is no way to answer liberals like Jack.

Remember that guy who bullied that Chick-fil-A girl? He thought he was doing right. Why? Because he has accepted without question what public schools, Hollywood, and popular culture in general have been lying about for years -- that behavior can be equated with race.

If you accept this equation, the liberals have already won. When we start hearing about polygamists, pedophiles, and perverts in general demanding the same protections granted to race, what will your response be?

CJW| 8.7.12 @ 9:43AM

Be specific, who is discriminating against gays and what is the discrimination?

scotchieguy| 8.7.12 @ 10:28AM

Who is supporting discrimination? The CEO believes marriage is between a man and a woman. Is there proof he refused to hire someone, or refused to serve someone food based on their views on gay marriage?

Jack London| 8.7.12 @ 1:23PM

The CEO has been backing outfits such as the Pennsylvania Family Institute and others that campaign against equal treatment of gay people.

Stkman| 8.7.12 @ 2:05PM

It is gays who treat themselves un-equally. The laws regarding marriage are the same for everybody. Gays choose to want to violate the law. Not only do they want to violate the law to have their way, they are 'demanding" that the rest of us deny our religous values just to make them happy. Sorry, but they can remain un-happy, its their choice and no one but theirs.
I don't know exactly what makes gay people gay, but I don't care either. I'm normal, they're not. Doesn't mean that I don't care for my fellow Americans who are gay, but do they care about me when they want me to deny my beliefs for their happiness and well being? What about my happiness and well being? Gays make up 2-5% of the population, what about the other 95-98% of the population? Maybe gays should justy ease up and be happy with what they have so long as it does not infringe upon the religous beliefs of 95% of the population. A pervert is a pervert, just the way it is and being gay is a perverted behavior whether you are born thet way or choose it as a lifestyle.

Jack London| 8.7.12 @ 2:42PM

I guess you're proud to be a bigot. But don't ever say that minorities in this country haven't had to struggle against such prejudice.

I can't see how gay people can possibly affect your 'happiness and well being' – maybe you can explain this – but you sure can affect theirs with discrimination.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 2:47PM

You're such a naive fool. In addition to your continued insistence that you get to decide how all other things are labeled, unencumbered by any guise of consistency or honesty, you toss about the label "discrimination" without realizing that it applies far more to you.

Just look at you. The mere idea that someone doesn't like homosexuality is intolerable to you. You say they can't affect our 'happiness and well being' with their in-your-face behavior, yet you demand that we not even THINK something that doesn't pass your litmus test? Are you telling us that regulating our thoughts can't possibly affect us?

Stkman| 8.7.12 @ 3:00PM

Gay people are not a minority. Minorities have no choice about their situation either by skin color or gender. Gays cause their own discrimination. I suppose with you Jack felons shouldn't be denied any rights? Where do you draw the line.
I don't want a gay coach in the locker room with my son, nor do I want a lesbian in the locker room with my daughter. I don't want my children exposed to their deviant behavior either. I don't want to be exposed to it. Gay people need to learn how to keep their private lives.......private.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 3:14PM

A minority are people who represent less than half of a population. Gays are a minority. So are murderers, peach farmers, and Packers fans. But being a minority does not mean one's behavior is immune to criticism. No one's behavior is immune to criticism.

Al Adab| 8.7.12 @ 3:48PM

Jack:
You and I have had a couple good conversations here over time, but in this instance your argument is on thin ice as evidenced by your disingenuous use of name calling and ad himinem hyperbola to make your case. The error in all this stems from believing that "Rights" are something Government grants rather than something Government protects. There is no "right" to marriage by anyone, anywhere, it is simply the State sanction of a religious or social custom that is at issue.

We discriminate against all manner of behaviors. That is quite a different case than discrimination based on race or ethnicity or the like. To attempt to conflate the two is not a valid approach.

Jack London| 8.7.12 @ 5:30PM

"We discriminate against all manner of behaviors. That is quite a different case than discrimination based on race or ethnicity or the like. To attempt to conflate the two is not a valid approach."

Don't be ridiculous Al. Come on – you are better than this. Otherwise you are no better than the people who claim gay people can be 'cured'.

I was reading recently about the great computer scientist, Alan Turing, a Briton, who was gay. But it was illegal then and he was convicted of indecency and had to choose between prison or chemical castration. After choosing the chemicals, he committed suicide a year or so later. He has been given a posthumous pardon by Britain.

The right we must protect is equality for the individual - as I said, you want to choose what rights other people can and can't have by insisting say that government cannot recognise states' gay marriage and campaigning against local laws that would outlaw discrimination against gay people. This is shameful.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 10:08PM

Genetics are but one factor in behavior. To say that behavior is a pure product of genetics, just like race, and thus similarly immune to criticism, is to deny the existence of free will and all personal responsibility.

If you do that, you're insane.

Genetics can contribute to a wide variety of behaviors, good and bad. Aggression, laziness, horniness, extroversion, introversion, stupidity, intelligence, depression... the list goes on. But we don't give people a pass for violent behavior because of the genetic component. We don't excuse stupidity or laziness just because of DNA (well, Democrats do in some cases, but not rational people).

You're heading down a road that makes no sense at all just because you've decided it's the path of least resistance toward your goal. What else will you sacrifice on this altar?

JD| 8.7.12 @ 10:23PM

You are right about one thing, Jack. We must protect equality. Equal rights, to be more precise. But unfortunately, that concept has a REAL definition, and it doesn't align well with the one in your imagination. Neither does the real definition of "discrimination."

If you could comprehend the perspectives of others, or even dared to see us as people, you'd understand that forcing us not to verbalize disagreement with you while you freely verbalize disagreement with us is not equality. You'd realize that government endorsement of your lifestyle while our lifestyle is all but banned, prevented from being spoken about except in private, is not equality.

But you don't do those things. You advocate blatantly inconsistent behavior, then use word games to call it "fair."

When faced with mutually incompatible ideas, a government has three choices:
1. Take side A
2. Take side B
3 Stay out of it

You advocate taking a side. We on the other side advocate choice #3. But you're so deluded, you can't see that #3 is #3 and not #2.

Occam's Tool| 8.7.12 @ 10:57AM

I have no problems with Civil Unions for Gays to ensure legal rights for gay couples. I have a problem with gay MARRIAGE due to a 24 year career studying the unconscious mind and its effects upon personal actions and societal structures.

Gary B| 8.7.12 @ 11:55AM

My position is simpler. It confuses the children. The typically outrageous indecent exposure and behavior of participants in gay-pride parades clearly indicates that crowd couldn't care less about shocking children, or anyone else. Their freedom is totally encumbered by personal responsibility, which
is a hallmark of the left's useful idiots.

Gary B| 8.7.12 @ 11:56AM

I meant "unencumbered."

More to the point, liberal policies, such as same-sex marriage, have destroyed the traditional family in countries like Sweden and Norway. Now the liberal thugs in America are slowly shoving the same thing down our throats.

Subconsciously, redefining a word diminishes it; why bother getting married if the state renders marriage meaningless?

http://www.fachurch.org/marriage.htm

Doctor Right| 8.7.12 @ 11:20AM

Here's something you're going to have to get used to:

The American public, by and large, has had enough s*** from "the gay community."

Don't like Chick-Fil-A?? Tough. We do. And we're not going to be cowed anymore by your stupid, childish antics.

To that end, there is no "struggle" for "gay rights." Gays have all the same rights as the rest of us.

What the Left calls "Gay rights" is more accurately called the "Homosexual Power" movement, and it's peaked.

You're an idiot if you think that Chick-Fil-A has ANY ability to stop two men (or two women) from getting "married."

Additionally, Chick-Fil-A does not stop homosexuals from eating or working at their restaurants.

The times, they are a changin'...back.

Nobody here "actively supports discrimination against gay people", Jack. Once again, you lead off with a straw man and demonstrate the liberal tactic of thinking you own the language and control what everyone else thinks, and why they think it.

One can disagree with a behavior without "actively supporting discrimination". Else you most certainly are guilty of severe discrimination against conservatives, Christians, and smart people.

Chick fil A is NOT an anti gay organization. Nice try but they employ gays, do not refuse gays service. They are trying to "force" us to believe in the mythology of Global Warming so that they can gain authoritarian control over our entire economy. Now the left is trying to "force" us to accept the legitimacy of gay marriage or else. It's time for a major pushback against the left and their so-called "values". There is a way to solve the problem of two conflicting nations that inhabit the same republic- ejection. Let us do the opposite of what was done during the secession crisis of the 1860s. Let us agree to eject left-wing America from the nation. Let us eject Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Washington DC, Washington State, Oregon, California and Illinois from the union. The remaining parts of the union can restore the Old Republic.

Alej| 8.7.12 @ 9:43AM

You mean that place those leftists sneeringly refer to as "flyover country?"

If "Flyover Country" secedes, the rest will be effectively rejected. Texas and Louisiana alone will A) deny them 90 % of domestically-produced oil & gas, and B) will shut off the Mississippi River outlet to all produce theretofore exported by midwest leftists. They can burn corn for heat and energy during cold winters.

And Old America will indeed be restored... the map will look different, but the spirit will be the same.

I'm not sure you're not right, Derek. Sort of like the old India-East Pakistan-West Packistan division. We'd need both expulsion and migration for all areas, though. That way, "Flyover America" could contribute significantly to "Costal America's" much-desired "diversity," while "Flyover America" receives idiological refugees from "Costal America." Everybody wins; what's to object to?

Al Adab| 8.7.12 @ 9:35AM

This conversation has been ongoing here. It is one thing for us individually to tolerate aberrant behavior while it is quite another for the government to sanction it. It is beyond tyranny for the government to attack those who express opinions against the preferred position. This is another issue that only arises with the collapse of the moral and cultural consensus which once prevailed in our public life.

Jack London| 8.7.12 @ 1:30PM

Al - so you don't support equality for gay people because of their 'aberrant behavior'? That's rather chilling – I'm afraid your usually well-reasoned position is hiding an unpleasant side.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 2:41PM

Jack, you DO NOT OWN THE LANGUAGE.

Your agenda is not "equality" because you call it so. Opposing you is not "hatred" or "bigotry" because you say so. We are not racists because you say so. The world is not a fantasy in your head. We're real people, just as much as you, and we have our own rights, ideas, and thoughts.

Nick| 8.7.12 @ 2:50PM

Do you support "equality" for polygamists, bi-sexuals, and incest practitioners, Jack'o?
As long as they are "consenting adults" who "love each other"?

If not, you're a hypocrite.
And, applying liberal-logic, a bigot, too.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 3:15PM

They will support all of those things in time. Fifty years ago they said they'd never condone homosexuality. But they "evolve".

Nick| 8.7.12 @ 3:53PM

I know, JD, but, they won't dare defend these perversions today.

It really sticks in their craw, too. They want to say it's all okay. But, they know it will further hamper their failed efforts to destroy marriage.

I spent last week making DRed squirm on the same issue. He finally just ran away. They can't, and refuse to, answer the question.

This is why I like to expose their hypocrisy for everyone to see.
Sometimes, catch-22s are great!

DRed| 8.7.12 @ 5:00PM

I actually just got tired of you completely ignoring what I was saying, going off on tangents, and raising irrelevant arguments. You know, the usual. Sometimes you can be wearying.

Nick| 8.7.12 @ 5:27PM

No, you got tired of being slapped around for several days, by me, DRed.
And now, you are projecting your failed arguments on me. Very sad.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 10:10PM

A "tangent" is what they call "an argument we can't beat". But it does so annoy me when they ignore what we're saying, restate their original, long-since debunked position, and accuse us of ignoring them because we don't bother debunking it again.

Jack London| 8.7.12 @ 4:44PM

For polygamy you could ask your man Romney - his forebears were polygamists and the Mormons would bring it back in a heartbeat if they could. But it is hardly a great social evil to live with multiple partners - it's just that legally it poses problems with marriage. As for bisexuals, this is common and no different from preferring one sex. And incest is illegal and taboo in most societies for a very good reason as you well know.

Nick| 8.7.12 @ 5:25PM

So, you're a bigot against polygamists, and would deny them "equal rights," Jack'o?
Same goes for a man who wants to "marry" a man and a woman. No "equal rights" for them?
Can't you liberals ever answer a simple question?

"And incest is illegal and taboo in most societies for a very good reason as you well know."

So is same-gender counterfeit marriage, Einstein.
And, yet, you are all for that, correct?

If a mother/father wants to "marry" her/his adult son/daughter, who are you, Jack'o, to DENY them "equal rights" if they "love each other"?
And, don't try to use child deformities, because you liberals are all about contraception and abortion, remember?

Defend your hypocrisy, Jack'o.

Biggie77| 8.11.12 @ 6:56PM

Polygamists and bisexuals? Sure. Incest? No. You seem smart enough to figure out why.

Al Adab| 8.7.12 @ 3:30PM

Jack:
The issue is State (government) sanction not ability. In many parts of this country people marry in a church or religious ceemony without bothering to obtain a "License" from the State.

Nonetheless, throughout history even those societies which most tolerated homosexual behavior placed cultural strictures on its practice and never allowed for government sanction. Shari'a, Jack, has a good bit to say about such behavior but I am not proposing we adopt that approach.

JD below raises a good question, How do you Jack, define aberrant?

Jack London| 8.7.12 @ 4:50PM

What difference to you does it make if gay people get married? It's already sanctioned in several states and the world has not ended, while I'm sure that in time state marriages will be federally endorsed. I thought you people above all were about freedom for individuals over the state - but as usual, all we get is you want to pick and choose the freedoms you want and deny them to others.

Al Adab| 8.7.12 @ 5:19PM

Obfuscatory Jack, and it doen't address the issue or answer the question. We have had a couple good conversations here, but your ice is thin on this one.
Have a great evening.

Jack London| 8.7.12 @ 5:56PM

I was giving you the benefit of doubt Al - but seems that you are in the sad old club of viewing gay people as contaminated stock for isolation or cure. We have come some way since the Salem witch trials but not far enough, it seems.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 10:11PM

Is "Salem witch trials" going to be your response every time someone else calls you wrong, then? Because as you use it, it could apply to anything.

Especially to you.

Gym Guy| 8.7.12 @ 9:39AM

Here in Knoxville at the Kingston Pike Chic-fil-A, the greasy-lipped fatties were lined up.

The line of morbidly obese porkers was comical to me and my gym buddies as we stood on the curb and stared--all of us in our forties, and fit as a fiddle.

Stretched out in front of us were dozens of gluttonous hogs, waiting their turn to chow down on fried chicken. It was a sickening sight.

My message to the fatties is this:

Gluttony is one of the seven deadly sins. Stop sinning, porkers. Instead of you lining up to express your hatred of gay people, get your fat ass to a gym and work up a sweat.

And lay down that fork. Stop grabbing every edible in sight and shoving it down your insatiable throats. And take a look in the mirror at your bloated, farcical faces. According to the bible, your body is a temple of the holy ghost, pigs.

So treat it that way. oink, oink

Alej| 8.7.12 @ 9:47AM

They were expressing solidarity with Cathy's remarks, not necessarily demonstrating hatred for deviants.

You cut-and-buffed manly stud, you.

Al Adab| 8.7.12 @ 11:14AM

Alej:
That is the grand distinction which The Left cannot make when they pursue their social engineering (vote buying) agenda. It is one thing to oppose aberrant behavior and quite another to give it State sanction.

Bill8472| 8.7.12 @ 10:24AM

"The line of morbidly obese porkers was comical to me and my gym buddies as we stood on the curb and stared--all of us in our forties, and fit as a fiddle."

How pharasaical of you.

And priggish. What is it with the priggishness of this anti-Chick-fil-A crowd? The guy who bullied the drive-through gal, and now Gym Guy. Is this a common quality of the same-sex marriage crowd?

I bet it is.

loulou| 8.7.12 @ 10:53AM

Gym, do you have good posture?

Frank Drackman| 8.7.12 @ 11:05AM

Al Adab| 8.7.12 @ 11:15AM

Does anyone ever reflect that our penchant for obesity is a measure of the national wealth. Sure many overeat, but where else in the world does that option even exist?

Stephanie| 8.7.12 @ 1:13PM

You're off base Al. It has to do with the decline of proper nutrition. And that people don't eat healthy foods. Read Russ Bianchi's research on how our food supply has been compromised. Nothing of any value is in our foods. Especially processed food.

Al Adab| 8.7.12 @ 3:25PM

You are not wrong there Stephanie, but I was just pointing out that most places in the world don't even have those options. Whether we exercise good decision making or not wasn't the point. The question was who else even gets the option?

JD| 8.7.12 @ 1:15PM

Around the Civil War, 70% of Americans worked in agriculture, and starvation was a leading cause of death. Now 2% work in agriculture and we're all fat.

If Obama were in charge at the time, he'd call that a catastrophe, lamenting all the lost agriculture jobs and demanding that we find a way to restore them, the same as he does for manufacturing today.

Frank Drackman| 8.7.12 @ 1:40PM

The people I saw at Chick-fil-A looked healthy. So it's okay to make fun of fat people now? I thought liberals said that was no longer allowed. Oh, I forgot, liberal tolerance doesn't cover Christians or Republicans or conservatives.

Cpm| 8.7.12 @ 11:54AM

"YMCA, it's Fun to be at the YMCA!" To you and your fit as fiddles gym buddies.

Doctor Right| 8.7.12 @ 12:13PM

Did you and your "gym buddies" get busy later by shoving things down your own throats??

Beauty fades; you won't always be able to worship at the alter of your own physique.

But that's the curse of the homosexual, isn't it?

Stkman| 8.7.12 @ 3:24PM

wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony, as you state there are seven Gym Guy, and in your post you relied on at least four of those sins to make you case(which was no case at all).
Wrath, you spewed it all over the customers of the Kingston Pike Chic-fil-a with your filthy comments.
Pride, you used it like you are better than someone else. you're not. In the eyes of God we are all his children and he loves us all, fat, skinny, fit or obese. By the way, some people have pituitary gland issues and other health issues that cause them to be obese.
Envy, you must be envious of those Chic-fil-a customers or you wouldn't have called them the names you did. You have some sort of chip on your shoulder. Are you envious that they don't care that your gay and they are going to eat what they want? Or, are you envious that they aren't gay and you are?
Greed, yes greed. You feel you have it all and you don't want to give anything up. But it's okay if you and those like you demand that others give up their moral beleifs to make you feel accepted.
Well, you may be accepted, but your homosexuality isn't.

Suzie Foo| 8.7.12 @ 7:41PM

Thanks, Stkman,

After seeing photos of the humongous fatties with their unfortunate faces, I suspect they are all probably harboring all of the 7 deadly sins you have enumerated.

G Guyton| 8.7.12 @ 9:49AM

Gym guy-- you are too funny.

Ove here in Myrtle Beach S.C. the lard buckets had stuffed their fat asses into bathing suits, and they looked utterly repulsive.

My husband and I made some wicked comments.
And I'm with you on the hatred thing. Those fat people were their not to express their thoughts on "free speech." All they were expressing was their hatred of gay people.

Some of the fatties were holding bibles, and there was a lot of jolly comraderie among the big-bellied bible thumpers.

As for me and my husband, we're supporting gay marriage all the way. My brother's gay, and we love his partner as much as we love my brother.

Get over it folks. Get a life. The world is moving on to greater equality for all. Hallelulaj (or however you spell it).

Mike G| 8.7.12 @ 10:00AM

So now you want to take the right of free speech away from anyone who is overweight? What's next, deciding what the overweight can and cannot eat?--(Oh sorry, I forgot, Obamacare will take care of that!)
My sister-in-law is gay, and my wife and I do not support gay marriage, but that has nothing to do with free speech. (I'm not overweight so I'm saying it.)

Frank Drackman| 8.7.12 @ 10:39AM

Oh yeah right,
Like Barney Frank looks good in a Speed-O... and you make comments bout' my Long Island born JAP wife, you'll be lookin for that Economy Sized Poly-Grip, Nome Sane?
Thats E-bonics for "No what I'm saying" I'm sure you heard it if you were in Myrtle Beach, a place that makes "Jersey Shore" look like one of those awful BBC/PBS mystery dramas...

You're an idiot.

Stkman| 8.7.12 @ 3:30PM

Guyton,
Would you love your bother as much if he said he wanted to put his penis up your husbands ass? It's not that normal people, and we are the normal ones hate gay people, we don't. We hate the isn. We hate it when we sin, we hate when you sin, we hate it when anybody sins.
So let me ask you, is it normal behavior for a man to desire to insert his penis in another mans ass?
How about for a woman to deisre to have oral sex with your daughter? Is that normal? Does it not fly in the face of nature?
It's time for thehonest discussion here. Gay people like to bring it up, so lets discuss it shalle we?
What is it really to be sexually gay? It means you beleive in deviant sexual behavior. It's a disgusting behavior to the vast majority of people, not just Americans, but people throughout the world.

The litany of authoritarian tactics that various progressives (for lack of a better term to lump them under) have been intoning since 2008, becoming more and more shrill as time passes, only clarifies matters.

Do you hear anyone saying that the Republicans and the Democrats are the same any more? Things are becoming clearer. That's a good thing.

99 & So Fine| 8.7.12 @ 9:57AM

It's spelled h a l l e l u j a h, Ms. Guyton.

There's been a lot of comment about how fat the Chick-fil-A supporters were, and I saw them in photos, and many of them were fat all right.

But you have to consider who these people are. They are the Wal-Mart enthusiasts whose mentality is rather low, to put it kindly. Take a look at the photos, and you will see slovenly Wal-Mart shoppers in tight shirts with rolls of fat around their bellies and the biggest, widest asses you have ever laid your eyes on.

surferdude qualude| 8.7.12 @ 10:02AM

Hey 99, You so Fine,

Bill8472| 8.7.12 @ 10:06AM

I for one will be reading all the critical comments about how fat and out of shape the Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day participants were, and then I will be laughing over the comparison with the numbers who turned out for that day and the numbers who turned out for Gay Kiss Day or whatever it was called a couple of days later.

Then I will be rolling on the floor laughing my chubby belly off when the fat folks' political beliefs are vindicated in November.

I also laughed when that self-righteous guy who bullied the drive-through girl got fired from his job for being a prig. He looked a little on the bloated side himself. I noticed that he took considerable care at the end of his moment to declare his heterosexuality; I wonder why he felt it necessary to register that fact...

"And to their enormous credit, they stood up and swarmed a fast food chain whose signature is the humble chicken sandwich. Thereby elevating Chick-fil-A into a veritable symbol of free speech."

Almost as interesting to me as the massive turnout on Wednesday was the non-turnout for the gay kiss-in on Friday. Could it be that most gays understand the concept of free speech, even when it makes them uncomfortable? After all, it wasn't that long ago that they were among the "politically incorrect".

Eduardo| 8.7.12 @ 10:12AM

CFA will serve anyone, be he gay, straight, Muslim, Jew, black, white, or whatever. Does that mean CFA employees are all Muslims? No. Many probably have a low opinion of Islam, just like most atheists do. But that doesn't make them intolerant. They just disagree.

However, unlike CFA and Dan Cathy, there are lots of people who are whipped into a violent frenzy by the mere suggestion that someone somewhere disagrees with them. These people are called "liberals", and they will stop at nothing to destroy those whom they have decided are their enemies.

Petronius| 8.7.12 @ 12:11PM

There is only one way to get rid of the Left. Such methods can't be discussed on these pages.

Hey Hollwywood, maybe most of your neighbors and co-workers are gay, but here in middle America its just not so. Sure we have some gay people here too, but they aren;t all militant or flaming gay. They keep their private lives private just like most heterosexuals do. It's how everybody should behave. You wanna do something in the provacy of your own home, go ahead. you wanna do it out in the street or on the tv in front of our kids, then you need to be ready for your upcomings.

Libertyinfinite| 8.7.12 @ 12:19PM

The word "no" doesn't really come up in American politics anymore. We need to say it to gays. & to the countless social security disability fraud cases, the welfare families, the communist government unions. My guess is that America will fail utterly & completely before it tells anyone the truth, "no, we can't afford that".

Tough titty said the kitty is the only way home.

Concerned Citizen| 8.7.12 @ 12:36PM

It's obvious what you right-wingers consider "free expression." Your idea of "free expression" is hate speech.

Disagree? Then begin at the top and read down. Hate, hate, hate! You all know how to spew it.

The F.B.I needs to keep tabs on this site. There are lots of loonies, crazies like Michael Page, the Sikh killer. He hated "minorities."

It would be interesting to know how many of you harbor the kind of hatred that Page espoused. Quite a few, I imagine.

We progressives look lovingly to the future with respect for our diverse membership, who are working diligently for inclusiveness in all areas of our society.

God bless the diversity of America! And God bless liberals for their humanistic values--their concern for the rights of their brothers and citizens, no matter their color, nationality, religion, sex, or sexual orientation. We are all one family in the family of man.

Concerned Citizen| 8.7.12 @ 12:39PM

I seriously believe this site should be labeled a hate site and be monitored by the F.B.I. and soon, before another tragic shooting occurs.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 12:52PM

You are a despicable person. Despicable. A lesser word would not be adequate.

You lie, completely, about those who disagree with you, distorting reasoned positions grotesquely to justify your hatred of the speakers. Ironically, you use the term "hate" in your attacks, which exist solely to justify YOUR hate.

And you ignore the incredible bile that flows on virtually all left-wing sites, which are filled with hatred like yours.

Your own post demonstrates the Left's idea of "inclusiveness". It includes labeling all disagreement with you as "hate speech", making terrible false accusations, and sending the FBI after people who don't toe your line.

Liberalism has always REQUIRED hatred to justify its agenda of attacking those who disagree with it and redistributing their assets to good followers of the church of Leftism. You demonstrate this clearly. Yours is the Party of Hate.

Suzie Foo| 8.7.12 @ 4:17PM

My, how you do go on, JD.

Time to put a nitroglycerin tablet under your tongue?

JD| 8.7.12 @ 4:29PM

How mature. And hateful!

JD| 8.7.12 @ 1:01PM

And what do you mean "another tragic shooting"? Are you one of the liberals who believes your party's lie that every mass shooter comes from the political right, even though that's been proven false EVERY TIME!

Maybe it's because of CNN's despicable reporting, in which they labeled the most recent shooter "right wing" because he was a white supremacist, even though those aren't at all the same thing. Non-liberal media got it right, calling him a "white supremacist." But you liberals are so despicably dishonest that you have made long-running efforts to connect white supremacy to us. Just another lie needed to justify your hate!

There hasn't been one "right-wing" shooting. There cannot be "another" until there's one.

Suzie Foo| 8.7.12 @ 4:19PM

No right-wing shooters?

Obviously, your brain has been damaged by a stroke.

Should have put that nytroglycerin tablet under your lying tongue.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 4:30PM

One would think that one so sure of herself could have taken three seconds to type one name in her reply. But of course, that would mean giving us all the opportunity to prove her wrong.

Biggie77| 8.11.12 @ 7:13PM

They labeled the shooter right-wing because he was a neo-nazi which is on the extreme right wing of the spectrum. Liberals haven't been dishonestly connecting white supremacists to the right. It just so happens that white supremicists are usually also neo-nazis.

Jack London| 8.7.12 @ 1:39PM

You're right CC – a few of us OK people post here to provide some balance for the silent readers, but the naked hatred underlying a lot of the regular posters is very disturbing.

As you can see from JD, he so deluded that he can't even bring himself to say white supremacists are right-wing – and he regularly parrots the coded language of hate fed to him by his (Jeffrey) Lord and master.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 2:38PM

You're right there with him, Jack. So arrogant. You can't stand that we don't fit into your stereotype, so you just tell yourself that we do!

The Left thinks that if it forms its mouths into words, what comes out is automatically truth. There is nothing remotely racist in conservative beliefs. But the Left needs reason to hate, and accusations of racism are great reasons, so they've pushed that Big Lie for generations. Trying to tie every instance or racism to conservative thought, even when liberals openly advocate racial discrimination in policies (so long as the right race is the beneficiary!)

You just can't make an argument without redefining us. You never could. You're so invested in your lies that you act like it's absurd for one of us to deny them!

Nick| 8.7.12 @ 3:43PM

What, precisely, is "right-wing" about white supremacy, Jack'o?

Jack London| 8.7.12 @ 4:52PM

"What, precisely, is "right-wing" about white supremacy"

You above all people, nasty Nick, know the answer to this.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 5:02PM

Ironically, Jack's statement is true. We know the answer is "nothing." He does not.

Nick| 8.7.12 @ 6:13PM

Can't answer another simple question, eh, Jack'o?
More liberal obfuscation and deflection.

Since the scumbag murder seems to have been a neo-nazi, and national socialism is an ideology of the left; it is you liberals, Jack'o, who own this mass-murderer.

Why are you lefties such hateful murders?
Presidents Lincoln, McKinley & Kennedy & Senator Kennedy were all killed by lefties. Sara Jane Moore, "Squeaky" Fromme, the Weather Underground, Black Panther Party, Symbionese Liberation Army, etc.

I'm Catholic, by the way. I love all of mankind. Even those who make it very hard to love thy neighbor as thyself.
Like the mass-killers of Aurora and Milwaukee. And leftists.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 6:24PM

And as always, Nick, look at the topic of the conversation. Jack is trying to tell us what we believe. He tells us that we are wrong when we say we don't believe what he wants us to believe. He actually thinks he controls what we think!

Nick| 8.7.12 @ 6:33PM

Well said, JD.
As are all your comments to Jack'o, in this thread.
Lefties can't have their false world-view countered in any way, or, else, they might have to think for themselves.

DRed| 8.7.12 @ 6:49PM

Right-wingers believe in law and order. Therefore, anyone who goes on a killing spree cannot be right-wing. It's a nifty rhetorical tautology.

Nick| 8.7.12 @ 7:48PM

Wrong, again, DRed.

I freely admit that McVeigh and Nichols were right-wing, anti-government, militia types. McVeigh wasn't a Christian, though, as many lefties try to portray him.
Got any more?

Can you tell me what is "right-wing" about white supremacy? Precisely?

DRed| 8.7.12 @ 8:24PM

They believe in race based hierarchies for one. Traditionally, believing in a hierarchical ordering of society makes one right wing (these categories get muddled, especially in America, where almost everyone is in some form traditionally left wing). They also tend (although I suppose there are probably exceptions) to be highly nationalist. They are also often (at least in their own minds) very religious. They tend to be nativists, another attribute commonly held to be right wing. I have no idea what this particular guy is.

As for my tautology, you might not believe that, but a lot of conservatives (Like Jeff Lord, for instance) do believe it.

Nick| 8.7.12 @ 9:12PM

See, here's your problem, DRed: You are conflating 3 different periods of political history.

The traditional left-right divide came from the followers of Hegel, with the pro-monarchists on the "right" and the atheist/materialists on the left.

Then came the divide between the universal/world-wide socialists (Lenin/Stalin communism) and the national socialists (Mussolini/Hitler fascism.) The communists wanted world-wide revolution; while the fascists were nationalistic and pro-war, i.e., expanding empire.

Finally, there is the political sphere we have today:
Left/Center-Left/Center/Center-Right/Right.
Communists/fascists still belong on the "Left." The "Right" would be libertarian-lite/conservative/religious-right/monarchist/hard-core libertarian.

The important thing to remember is that it is a sphere, or, circle. So, the hard-core libertarians would meet at the bottom of the circle with the anarchists. I would put the neo-nazi, white-supremacists at the bottom, as they are also extremists.

What is the difference between "nationalistic" and patriotic, by the way?

p.s. Good fight, in the other thread.

DRed| 8.7.12 @ 9:50PM

I'd say a patriot admires his country/culture, while a nationalist thinks his country is superior to all others in almost all respects. You could, say, be an Italian patriot while thinking Italy has a ton of problems, but if you're an Italian nationalist you think Italy is always right. Look at the Nazis-they didn't just admire German culture. They thought they were the earth's dominant people, and had the right to take what they wanted from anyone else because of their inherent superiority.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 10:15PM

Yes, and liberals believe in helping the poor, ergo anything that hurts the poor can't be liberal!

I've yet to meet a liberal who doesn't believe THAT one.

As for yours, no. That's just foolish. Of course people can have ideals, then violate or fail to uphold them. What makes these recent shooters "not right-wing" isn't that they killed people. It's that they did so for reasons that weren't right-wing. Period.

You're trying to escape being caught in a lie with a word game.

Biggie77| 8.11.12 @ 7:48PM

BWAHAHA. I'm used to conservatives lying and saying Nazism is left-wing, but then you went and said John Wilkes Booth was a leftie! Hilarious!

Stkman| 8.7.12 @ 3:46PM

Jack, being the liberal you are then I'm sure you support the NAACP, probably the New Black Panthers who are definately supported by the democrats.
Here's a bit of logic, if the NAACP is considered a liberal association, then you must also say any association supporting any color of people must be a liberal association too. To say anything different makes you a bigot.
Being "right wing" as you put it, is not being "white wing". Right wing just means you have conservative moral values. Like the Ten Commandments, the Bible , the Cosntistution and Old Glory.

Jack London| 8.7.12 @ 4:55PM

I'm sure you don't support NAACP - so that makes you a bigot. Well done for making the point.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 5:03PM

Wow. Just... wow.

Jack lives in a crazy world!

Libertyinfinite| 8.7.12 @ 2:31PM

Gays go against what god & nature intended, & our deepest primal need, to reproduce. The fact that it is natural for the great vast majority of humanity to be grossed out by gays, does not amount to hate. Sorry there. & we can not supply your happiness. I know that democrats told you that they could make you the same as us, but they can't because you are gay. If you want to be gay, you have to learn to do it without us. We think that you are not normal, & that is natural, not hateful.

Everything that the democrat party promised can not be delivered. Sorry about that. I find it increasingly sick how gays now demand that we make them happy, by submitting to some fantasy that makes them not gay anymore, really.

What you want is to not be gay, you now want to be us, so just do it already & shut up.
Or start being gay again, & proud of who you are, but leave us alone. We can't make you happy if you aren't happy yourself. Sorry the democrats lied.

Doctor Right| 8.7.12 @ 3:38PM

You're sorry.

obadiah| 8.7.12 @ 4:00PM

deist fundamentalism and atheist darwinism unite in their condemnation of gays, jews and left-handers. they must all be destroyed without any exceptions. we will become happy when such deviancy ceases forever.

Cpm| 8.7.12 @ 5:49PM

It isn't hate, it's MOCKERY. You guys are so easy.

Gym Guy| 8.7.12 @ 12:41PM

I could not agree more, CC. This blog is out of control and is dangerous.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 1:06PM

Spare me your fake indignation. Which of you is Frank, posting under your second account to condemn your first account's posts?

56 and counting| 8.7.12 @ 12:45PM

Frank Drackman, the super-hater on here, is a TROLL.

He is not a conservative, but a Leftist, and he posts his hateful garbage to discredit American Spectator and its readers.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 12:54PM

Indeed, it could not be more obvious. That is, of course, why the other liberals here pretend not to see it. In fact, "Frank" is probably here posting under another name, calling out "Frank" for his "hate".

I've seen this SO many times before. They think they're so smart.

Doctor Right| 8.7.12 @ 3:40PM

He is a troll, but I don't think he's a leftist-in-disguise.

He's a faux borscht-belt comedian who's simply not funny...like Pat Cooper.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 4:01PM

He knows what he's accomplishing here.

Frank Drackman| 8.7.12 @ 1:14PM

"hateful garbage"??
and if by "Leftist" you mean "Left Handed" I plead guilty,
guilty as OJ/Ted Kennedy/that hot chick who drowned her kid in Florida...
One man's "hateful garbage" is another man's Rahm Manuel...
not the mayor of chicago, the dude who keeps my pool cleaner than Mitt Romney's driving record..

Frank

YippyYiYo| 8.7.12 @ 12:49PM

Ditto.

Drackman's a troll. If you compiled all his comments, the high-volume hatred comes through in every post, and his wild, deranged anger is deliberate.

He is out to destroy AmSpec's credibility.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 12:54PM

Liberalism has always needed lies to win.

Doctor Right| 8.7.12 @ 3:44PM

Too late for that, and I mean that sincerely.

This board has become a joke.

First, they didn't require any verification to post; trolls where everywhere, and multiple, fake identities proliferated.

Now they require email verification but exercise very little active moderation. As a result, intelligent discourse has given way to buffoonery and Leftist stupidity.

Lots of folks have simply given up and gone to other boards.

Additionally, the caliber of the articles has gone WAAAAAY down in the last year.

Suzie Foo| 8.7.12 @ 4:24PM

How right you are, Doctor Right.

I am not posting under the moniker I used to use because this site has gone to the dogs, and you cannot carry on serious discourse any more--the comment thread is too polluted with dementia.

Frank Drackman| 8.7.12 @ 8:11PM

The Joke is someone who's so insecure about his education that he refers to himself as "Doctor" in a nickname..
Now I admit, I sometimes have Mrs. Drackman call me "Doctor" but only when she's had a few Mimosas and dresses up in her "Naughty Nurse" costume...
Seriously, You're a "Doctor"??
Of what? Bung-Holery?

Frank "a Real Doctor" Drackman
oops, now I'm doing what you do, my bad

CaneCutter| 8.7.12 @ 1:42PM

Forward! Forward! Storm Troopers go Forward! Obama and his thugs will usher in alot more than Gay Totalitarianism, if the SOB is re-elected in November. The gay thing will subside quickly, but bullying is Obama's way and the way of Liberal Socialists. They tolerate no opposition and will if re-lected start "dealing" with their critics. This may have already begun. Read more about the Obama "Dead Pool" by Googling "Obama's Dead Pool". You'll be amazed.

Mimi | 8.7.12 @ 3:33PM

Not spam!

obadiah| 8.7.12 @ 3:55PM

It was as predictable as rain in a hurricane. A failed trash restaurant chain resuscitates itself by provoking sex-based controversy. They saw Rush promoting himself with the slut slur and it was dittoes all the way.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 4:03PM

I miss the days when liberals only revised history that was at least a few years past.

obadiah| 8.7.12 @ 4:14PM

everyone revises history and the republicans/conservatives win the competition. Rush is far out out in front. everyone stupidly blames others and ignores his own shortcomings. you seem to be running fast towards the tape.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 4:28PM

Revisers accuse those who reject their revisions of revision. Like all forms of hypocrisy, it's a dishonesty whose actors can always accuse their enemies of similar action.

That doesn't mean one side isn't right.

In this case, there was no attempt to "provoke controversy." Dan Cathy answered a question. One that he appeared to not anticipate. Liberals are grand conspiracy theorists, though.

Doctor Right| 8.7.12 @ 4:26PM

"Failed"???

Chick-Fil-A???

BWHA-HAH-HAH-HAH-HAH-HAH!!!!!

Yeah, you wish, you leftist fool!

LOL!

Stkman| 8.7.12 @ 3:55PM

I'm glad to see Americans finally waking up and not waiting for some political leader to tell the country what is right and what is wrong. We already know and it's high time we began pushing back.
So what woke us up? It wasn't us rallying around free speech. It was us rallying around a man who finally and publicly said what other Americans should have been saying for years, that he believed in what the Bible said. Chic-Fil-A just happened to be his company and the Gays decided to make all the Chic-Fil-a's battle grounds. This time though, americans said sure! We aren't afraid of you anymore. We won't bow down to you anymore. We love you with all our hearts, but we don't want your sin on us anymore. Be who you want to be, but keep it in the privacy of your own home.
The puch-back has begun, and it was way overdue. This should only go to show liberals and the gay and lesbian groups that Americans have been very tolerant for a long time. But you have pushed us to the edge and wehave decided not to jum, but to stand our ground. Accept it. Americans are not ready to give up on America just so a small minority can feel good about themselves.

Archie| 8.7.12 @ 5:20PM

I disagree. There are good and insightful posts on this board. Not sure where all the riff-raff is coming from lately, but I think it comes with the territory...and it is an election year with alot on the line.

Archie| 8.7.12 @ 5:21PM

In reply to Dr Right at 3:44.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 5:45PM

Agreed. I wouldn't be here otherwise. But the quality of the opposition is increasingly disappointing.

Oldefarte| 8.7.12 @ 5:24PM

Jeffrey's descriptive article defines the problem and the solution of this leftist, Cloward & Piven anarchism, which is quite simple, if only the American people would use the power that they possess. They used that power 8/1/12 and the result is what being described here. They failed to exercise that power on 11/4/08 and the result of same has now been witnessed by all for the last three plus years. WAKE UP AMERICA....WAKE UP! This has been going on my entire liftime of sixty years, and it is indeed time to put a stop to it. In the sixties it was college students etc rioting, protesting etc over the Vietnam War etc. Now it is the OWS gang doing basically the same things. WAKE UP AMERICA! All that is necessary is for American income earners, taxpayers, moms & dads, church members, consumers etc to use their political power collectively by voting correctly, refusing to allow their children to view Hollywood's products, or yes even eating CFA products! STAND UP AMERICA....STAND UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oldefarte| 8.7.12 @ 5:27PM

PS: "Chicago's Values" Rahm?.......STICK IT WHERE THE SUN DON'T SHINE, AND TWIST IT SIDEWAYS, RAHM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RCV| 8.7.12 @ 5:53PM

This train has long since left the station. Women have the vote, segregation is over, and marriage equality is here to stay. Sorry, but you'll just have to move on.

JD| 8.7.12 @ 6:07PM

You disgust me, writing as if we oppose women voting or support segregation.

Are you still beating your wife?

Frank Drackman| 8.7.12 @ 8:07PM

No, I'm too busy having sex with yours.

Frank

C. Vernon Crisler | 8.7.12 @ 10:48PM

Ridiculous comment RCV. Are you willing to include polygamists and pedophiles in that marriage equality bs? Why or why not? Should we just move on when old men are allowed to marry young children (of either sex)? Unless you can provide a non-arbitrary answer to these questions, you and your liberal friends are just blowing smoke.

RCV| 8.8.12 @ 11:15AM

Children are not capable of consenting to a sexual relationship, Vern, so that argument is a straw man. Laws protecting children against sexual exploitation are valid exercises of the state's police power. Notwithstanding the Bible's sanction of it, and the numerous societies which have sanctioned polygamy, our own brief experiences with it in this country -- where it often has resulted in exploitation of underage girls and neglect and abuse of women -- have provided enough legislative evidence to support a ban. as the US Supreme Court held in Reynolds. I personally don't really feel strongly about the polygamy issue, but think it can withstand any equal protection analysis.

Sunday Best| 8.7.12 @ 7:56PM

Let's all draw in a deep breath, let it out, and now, sing along with me. (guaranteed to calm you down)

Heavenly sunshine, heavenly sunshine,
Flooding my soul with glory divine,
Heavenly sunshine, heavenly sunshine,
Hallelujah! Jesus is mine!

Sunday Best| 8.7.12 @ 7:59PM

And here's another soothing hymn for all you readers to sing along:

I've got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart

Where?

Down in my heart!

Where?

Down in my heart!

I've got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart

Down in my heart to stay

And I'm so happy

So very happy

I've got the love of Jesus in my heart

Down in my heart

And I'm so happy

So very happy

I've got the love of Jesus in my heart.

I've got the love of Jesus, love of Jesus

Down in my heart

Where?

Down in my heart!

Where?

Down in my heart!

I've got the love of Jesus, love of Jesus

Down in my heart

Where?

Down in my heart to stay.

Sunday Best| 8.7.12 @ 8:01PM

Now . . . don't we all feel better?

May the love of blessed Jesus enter your hearts tonight and may every word you utter be acceptable in His precious presence.

Sunday Best| 8.7.12 @ 8:05PM

And here's one more for you to sing silently and in a reverent tone:

Deep and wide

Deep and wide

There's a fountain flowing deep and wide

Deep and wide

Deep and wide

There's a fountain flowing deep and wide

Hmmm and wide

Hmmm and wide

There's a fountain flowing hmmm and wide

Queer, Queer agenda in the media, Queer California governor, Queer president, Queer Congress, Queer disease(AIDS). Queers "want a family", ha!, the queer bastards have to go to the family unit so queers can be queer parents. Queer!

Pelleas| 8.8.12 @ 1:29PM

I find it a real hoot that you wing-nuts can NOT even stick to the ( outlandish) topic that Lord spews in this ridiculous rant--and , instead, argue and snip and snap against each other, concerning the all too clear losing battle to get you Repugs the Presidency...!

Keep it up, 'nuts-- it is giving me the biggest belly -laughs I have had in quite some time, reading you trip all over each other!

BTW... all of your--and Lord's irrational hatred/bigotry/ pure smarminess/ against your fellow Gay-Americans-while not funny- is rather illuminating, concerning your neanderthal mind-sets...

Bill8472| 8.8.12 @ 5:09PM

I'd like to see someone who knows what he's talking about compare the smarminess of the anti-same-sex marriage crowd with the pro-same-sex marriage crowd.

I bet the antis would come as the far more accepting, non-judgmental, tolerant, and generally more appealing bunch.

Pelleas| 8.8.12 @ 9:21PM

"I bet the antis would come as the far more accepting, non-judgmental, tolerant, and generally more appealing bunch."

Reading the utter filth that passes as "accepting/non-judgmental/"tolerant" rant on this site-- they/you might be seen as a "more appealing bunch"--by a band of neo-nazi biker skin-heads--PERHAPS..

Abu Nudnik| 8.9.12 @ 5:04PM

Not to mention the big push from the early Obama White House itself to try and shutdown Fox News with repeated attacks.

But Jeff... he was just "speaking truth to power!" LOL! (Obama actually said that!)

Re: DOMA, I believe - a quibble - that the Justice Department didn't so much refuse to administer the law as it refused to defend it in court, saying it is unconstitutional. Get that! Passed by 80%+ in Congress, signed by WJClinton into law and HE says it isn't Constitutional, thus arrogating the prerogatives of BOTH other branches of government... I think you may have partly buried the lede here, Mr. Lord!
