Serfs Up!

The more Americans learn about ObamaCare, the more concerns they have. Opposition to mandatory abortion funding is strong -- up in the high 70-percent figures according to some reliable polls. This is not just pro-life sentiment speaking. Yes, the majority of Americans have told the Gallup organization they are pro-life. But this strong reaction goes even further. Millions of Americans who count themselves pro-choice are opposed to being forced themselves to pay for abortion-on-demand and are conscientiously opposed to forcing their pro-life neighbors to pay for it.

Mark Steyn has written powerfully about the entire question of government-provided health care. Steyn says even if costs could be contained by the new government takeover, and even if government health care did not lead inevitably to rationing -- two conditions most analysts consider highly unlikely -- Americans should still reject ObamaCare.

Why? Because, Steyn says, when the government takes over health care it fundamentally changes the relationship between citizen and state. People are no longer patients to their doctors or constituents to the government. They become supplicants. I will say it: they become serfs.

Serfs were peasants tied to the land in Old Russia. In the same way, we will be tied to the government, dependent on the government for our very lives. That's the deeper meaning of the Five-Year Plan Obama has defended. This is not a Soviet-era Five Year Plan. Instead, it's the legal obligation for all health care recipients to discuss their "end of life" decisions every five years. This is not optional. This is not voluntary. It is mandated. It is national conscription.

It would seem that this provision applies only to the elderly. But why should it? After all, medically dependent persons do not have to be elderly. Any one of us could collide with another vehicle on the highway any day-and require long-term treatment in a neurological hospital. Certainly, head trauma cases are tragically entering our military hospitals every day from the battlefields of Afghanistan. These are mostly very young patients. Should they not have "end of life" plans made, too? That, at least, will be the reasoning of the government-appointed Tsars who will be assigned to control health care costs and do the inevitable triage of medical treatment options.

"It is at once the safeguard and the glory of mankind that they are easy to lead and hard to drive." That was the wisdom of Winston Churchill. President Obama is finding this out.

The harder he drives people to enact his health care plan, the more they seem to dig in their heels -- not just Americans at the grassroots, but also their Representatives in Congress.

How can this be? Didn't the President just win a strong victory? Of course he did. But so did FDR in 1936. Roosevelt swept the nation, burying the hapless Alf Landon. Republicans carried only two states in that bruising contest-Maine and Vermont.

No sooner had Roosevelt won his second consecutive landslide, however, than he came to grief trying to pack the U.S. Supreme Court. His own Democrats in Congress rebelled.

Franklin Roosevelt was a man with long experience in government-as state lawmaker, as Cabinet member, as Governor, as President. This is in marked contrast with President Obama. He spent little time in each office in his meteoric rise to power. He rose because he has an "aura."

That aura, says Michael Barone in the Washington Examiner, made Obama a formidable candidate. But now, when the hard task of governing is before him, Barone writes, Obama's lack of experience is showing. "On the major legislation considered this year-the stimulus, cap and trade, health care-the Obama administration has done little or nothing to set down markers to provide guidance, to establish boundaries and no-go areas."

There are not enough Republicans in Congress today to stop ObamaCare, just as there were not enough GOP members in 1937 to stop Roosevelt's "court packing scheme." They must reach out across the aisle.

We who are concerned about fundamental issues of liberty and dependency, of life and death, must seek bipartisan support. When issues like abortion mandates-in-health-care and forced end-of-life-decision-making are raised, they have a strong resonance with millions of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents. After all, everyone has a life. If you'd like to make the key decisions about yours without government mandates, join the resistance.

Think about it, folks. Long and hard, pros and cons. And now we have the President of the USA asking on a Whitehouse website to snitch on anyone (this means family, friends, co-workers, etc.) to inform them of anyone opposing his Healthcare scheme. Can you imagine if W had the cajones to do something like this? But, the litte mind numb robots have no problem when Obama does it. Where is the Press on this? Obviously, with their noses up Barry's arse smelling the roses, no doubt. There can be no defending this, none whatsoever, no matter if you are a Democrat or Republican, Independent, or whatever. This is not Soviet Russia, or China or Cambodia, or Venezuala or Cuba. This is the USA, where if good old Barry had suggested in his campaign that if anyone opposed his running for POTUSm there was a webiste you could turn in your neighbors, family and friends, he would never have been elected and rightly so. If W had suggested anything even romotely similar, the hew and cry from the left would have been heard around the world. We would be able to still hear the eccho of this deafening roar today, but because The Won did this, oh well, yawn. Wake up, inform yourself now before it is too late and you have to arm yourself to defend yourself and your God given rights.

I have a very short (two words) answer for my government end-of-life counselor, with 158-grain punctuation, to 'the legal obligation for all health care recipients to discuss their "end of life" decisions every five years'...

The link above is to a White House blog entry asking:

"If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov."

The above quote is in the 5th paragraph.

Send lots of emails, overload their system. Add attachments, like the entire 1,000+ pages of the House Bill.

Write to flag@whitehouse.gov every day and let them know who the real stinky fish are. As has been said, fill their systems and let them know who is really lying.

Big J| 8.6.09 @ 8:13AM

Right on, Frank!

I'm with Jack and Pecos. I will be forwarding the same email each and every day to these crooks.

Very simple, this is how it reads:

To whom it may concern:

I have seen many things that are fishy about health care reform.

First, your plan doesn’t reduce costs – it increases costs exponentially.

Second, it puts some government bureaucrat in charge of decisions that the doctor and patient should be making.

Third, it raises taxes on both individuals and businesses at a time when no one can afford it. This will increase unemployment and damage an already failing economy.

Finally, this is completely outside the limits of the constitution.

Sounds fishy to me.

Liberals love the fuedal system. Although there may still be a large gap between rich and poor, nearly everyone is poor, so there is more equality.

I live in Missouri, so I am well represented in kahn-gress by those giants for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness rusty carnie-mon, clair mc-numbskull, and rino obumah doormat kitty bond-age. I have seen something similar to massah’s snitch scheme before. Just last year the prostituted attorneys for St. Louis City and County plus Jefferson County’s version of Sheriff Rosco Purvis Coltrane formed a triumvirate affectionately called the BOTS (barry obumah truth squad). Their goal was to stamp out constitutionally protected free speech by taking anyone to court who failed to sieg heil their boy wonder and actually said or wrote anything THEY deemed untrue about him. I don’t recall that carnie-mon, mc-numbskull, or bond-age spoke against this clear violation of the First Amendment. Interestingly, carnie-mon’s third kahn-gressional district covers most of the kingdom of BOTS. I have pointed out before that there are only two possibilities: 1) obumassiah is a poltical hack chicago punk novice in over his head, or 2) he’s the genius his lemming legions believe him to be. Clearly, he is taking this country down a road which dead ends at the bottom of a steep cliff. He even admitted his schemes are unsustainable. Is he doing this through incompetence or is this deliberate? I fear it’s deliberate and that not only must Atlas shrug, he must grab the globe and shake it until the liar-in-chief and all his odious vermin are cast into the pit of their own despair.

Appleby| 8.6.09 @ 8:48AM

I suggest that when turning in your friends, neighbours, non-Obama-supporters and parents who won't let you wear shortie pajamas to church, you use an e-mail address that is only for that purpose. Otherwise the government thugs will have a record of whodunnit and when the people you rat out start naming names, too, the dots won't be hard to connect.

Gill O’Teen ✝✡| 8.6.09 @ 9:10AM

Appleby is correct! Under no circumstances use a valid email address when contacting our Kremlin. I would suggest that you not even use your home PC. They can track the email back to its sender by tracing your IP address. So use a public computer such as one available at a school or library. Kinko’s used to have some for rent. I don’t know if you use a wireless laptop at a coffee shop or other location it can be traced back to you. It can be traced back to the shop. Be afraid. Be very afraid. Remember, you are not paranoid if they really are out to get you. This government is really out to get us and can now officially be called a tyranny since it no longer fears its citizens but we fear it. Heck, I fear my own government more than I fear bin Laden and al-Qaeda.

Not serfs, Kulaks. Obama has a Kulak problem.

According to Marxism-Leninism, the kulaks were a class enemy of the poorer peasants.[1] From this theory's point of view, poor peasants and farm laborers had to be liberated by the revolution alongside the proletariat (the urban workers). In addition, the planned economy required the collectivization of farms and land to allow industrialization of large-scale agricultural production. The "state of workers and farmers" desired to remove the kulaks as a class and presented them with the option of integrating into the new classless system with equal rights.

Here in SW Washington, this is what we got this morning from Representative Brian Baird (D. Vancouver, WA)...

http://www.columbian.com/article/20090806/NEWS02/708069952

Instead of appearing in person, where "extremists" would have "the chance to shout and make YouTube videos," Baird said Wednesday, he's holding what he calls "telephone town halls" instead.

Baird said he's using the new system because he fears his political opponents may be planning "an ambush" to disrupt his meetings, using methods Baird compared to Nazism.

"What we're seeing right now is close to Brown Shirt tactics," Baird, D-Vancouver, said in a phone interview. "I mean that very seriously."

I served 20 years on Active Duty in the Navy for this?? This is beyond outrageous, and it's only August...

Being an adult is making choices, sometimes bad choices, learning from them, and moving toward self sufficiency; paying your own way; not being reliant on others. This process if fundamental to true enjoyment and fulfillment of life. Few if any who are dependent but capable of independence are happy. Whether at the bottom of the economic ladder (welfare communities) or the top (trust fund kids), misery abounds. ObamaCare and all the other big government schemes will forever enfeeble the citizenry as children, reliant and dependent on others. The notion of the free citizen will be gone.

With our national legislature rushing headlong toward nationalization of industry after industry, (auto, Insurance, health) is it any wonder that many citizens are beginning to realize that those who are coerced into such systems become the slaves to those systems? It is this, not personality or individuals, that so many oppose.

When central planning and control replaces our choices we find ourselves serfs indeed. As Hayek warned us so long ago: those who exchange Liberty for imposed behavior become slaves to their masters, the decision makers.

Perhaps we should all forward these Am Spec articles to flag@whitehouse.gov. Does it not seem "fishy" that American Liberty is so strongly opposed by our own government? A few million forwards and the sderver would shut down.

How about it?

The problem we face is that we are in the middle of a slow motion revolution. We realize that Obama is out to destroy us and our way of life. Tea Party is a reaction to the realization that if we don’t act now, we won’t have a chance later.
As we all know, a con man is eventually revealed to be what he is. And some folks really hate to admit that they’ve been had. And the “buyers remorse” that friends of mine are suffering is moving to disgust and rage. When I went to my first tea party on April 15th, I spoke to a lot of folks. Disgust with Geitner, Taxes, Obama, IRS, and leftist agendas were the main topics of discussion.
So, we are at a turning point. We have a race baiting hustler who is falling in the poll numbers and in the public trust. Asking people to inform on free speech is treason. Is he a national socialist? What will he do when the town hall situation makes it clear that we have no further use for him? When distrust is so rampant that he is publicly ridiculed? And we are supposed to snitch out folks to this marxist?
You know, I’ve always wondered what it would be like to live in historic times. To be truthful, for a person with a historical perspective, it’s a bit scary. We can lose our freedoms to this Charlatan.
IMO, civil wars start in steps, and we’re headed that way. Marxist-socialists aren’t fixing to change their ways, and will ALWAYS work to our destruction. When people no longer can trust their government, and the judicial system is politicized, then conditions are ripe. You see, if you live among snakes, you can’t reason with them. Alas, you find yourself in a situation that you have to send those snakes on to their maker. Well, these folks ain’t gonna go away. They are always gonna be there ready to spread their poison, and kill our freedoms. The Spanish civil war and the death squads in Central America are an example of what can happen here.

When I was growing up in New Mexico, we had a little code of honor about snitching. We just didn’t do it. Anyone who did got cut out of our society permanently. Even the teachers lost respect for a snitch. Anyways, if the “gentlemen” at the whitehouse are looking to pillory someone for “thought crimes”, well, I’m a guilty individual. Boy howdy am I guilty…..Just as is most folks who have posted very much on the ‘net, I suppose….So, we have a marxist that wants us to snitch out our neighbors for “thought crimes”? My oh my, why that’s just askin’ for a severe correction.

Re White House new media director Macon Phillips's August 5th request that citizens report "fishy" comments about President Obama's health care proposals to the government, I think we should all comply. I've done so, sending the following to flag@whitehouse.gov today:

Greetings.
As requested by White House director of new media Macon Phillips, I hereby report fishy comments made by one Mary Ann Bosnos about President Obama’s health care proposals.

Mrs. Bosnos has fishily said in emails to friends and family that she believes the “public option” proposed by the Obama Administration will ultimately destroy private medical insurance, leaving Americans (except for Congress and the President, of course) stranded in a single-payer world of subpar, rationed care. [see: Canada]

Her piscine activities have not stopped there! I have heard Mary Ann Bosnos confess in casual conversation that she has seen the recently revealed video clip in which President Obama says very plainly that his goal is to eliminate private medical insurance and that she believes President Obama said what she heard him say. In other words, she takes the evidence of her own eyes and ears over statements by Administration spokespeople. Shocking!

I will remain on the alert for further comments by Mrs. Bosnos, whose astrological sign is probably Pisces, and I will flag and forward news of her health care thought crimes to you immediately!

Incidentally, FYI the Privacy Act of 1974 provides that governmental agencies will maintain no record describing how any individual exercises rights guaranteed by the First Amendment unless:

· Expressly authorized by statute;

· Expressly authorized by the individual about whom the record is maintained; or

· Pertinent to and within the scope of an authorized law enforcement activity.

Sincerely,
Mary Ann Bosnos

PS: Big Brother loves you.

Paul McGrath| 8.6.09 @ 6:32PM

Right Tim! You are exactly right! What the Soviet Union did was to set up the kulaks-- simply land-owning peasants--as the enemy of the people. They were the villains! They were the ones preventing everyone else's well-being. And sure enough, the landless peasants responded, and the kulaks were driven from their land.

The kulaks you see, just like property-owning Americans today, were seen as enemies of the state. They also happened to be the greatest obstacle to Soviet Communism. So they were systematically driven down. And once they were no longer a threat, the Communists were free to go after everyone else, including the dupes who initially supported them.

Let's see, boys and girls, if we can find any parallels in today's America. Taxes on the "rich"? Right-wingers as terrorists to be monitored? Those who disagree with Obama's right-think are "fishy?" There is, of course, more.

What in the name of God is going on here?

megapotamus| 8.6.09 @ 8:00PM

Kulak, in this regard, does not mean Ted Turner. The kulaks were persons of quite modest material distinction from the lowest in Russian society and it was a sliding scale. At first the harvest of a kulak may be confiscated. Then his horse. Then his cow. Then his pig. Finally even his hovel would be nationalized and the offender reduced to a state of scorn and destitution. The very notion of profit was demonized. Labor, of course, continued under conditions of political task-mastering. Compensation dwindled and material benefits metted out on the basis of ideological purity as in Cuba. Remember this, O-bots. Stewed in your resentments you may well relish a dish of kulak stew and you may have it but the eternal lesson of history is that you may indeed dine on the rich and you shall dine quite well. Once.

Gill O'Teen's advice to go to an anonymous computer did not exactly inspire thoughts of the old rallying song - "Give me some men who are stout-hearted men and I'll soon give you ten thousand more...." The next line went "Shoulder to shoulder , bolder and bolder, to fight for the rights we adore." Slinking off to a Kinko's computer is not exactly striking a blow for freedom. Why not sit down at your own computer every night and send this message ,over and over., "Define "fishy" for me."

The more the Kenyan speaks, proposes, and demands, the more I hear the anthem of the old Soviet Union. Our forbearers, such as mine from Romania, didn't come here to re-create the dictatorships which they fled. They came here for Liberty and Freedom. The George Washington Tyrant Removal method is still available. Remember, these tyrants across the country would ally themselves with the English Crown instead of with the Sons of Liberty and, particularly, Sam Adams and his tea inspectors, in comparison. How about the possibility of a 'mandatory organ donation', so folks deemed worthy of organ transplants, can get them from those suffering from 'no-quality of life' status? Zionist Jews crimes against USA!

The nation of Israel and Jews, friend or foe of America? Actions speak louder than words;

June 8, 1967; Israeli jets attack the USS Liberty, killing 34 American soldiers.

May of 1970; Perle passing secrets to Israel during Kissinger and Nixon term

1973-2001; according to the Christian science monitor, Since 1973, Israel has cost the United States about $1.6 trillion. Top Jewish senators and Jewish congressmen in the US are voting to take tax payer’s money to support Israel. If divided by today’s US Citizens, that is more than $5,700 per person. That is more than twice the cost of the Vietnam War. Israel receives over 2 billion per year as a peace accord agreement, yet still to this day violates that agreement.

1979-1981 During the US hostage crisis in Iran, Israel was specifically asked to stop supplying Iran with weapons while Iran was holding US hostages. Israel was selling 500 million dollars per year of weapons to Iran, even after America asked Israel to stop.

October 1983; Israel deliberately allows 241 American Marines to die

1984; Israel denies U.S. Justice Department demand to extradite Marc Rich, a convicted Israeli spy against America.

August 1985, Israeli American scientist arrested for stealing 800 nuclear weapons triggers from America and sending them to Israel

November 22, 1985; Jewish US Navy Employee Arrested as Israeli Spy

October 27, 1991; Israel enflames race tensions in America by supplying apartheid South Africa with weapons and forcing the Bush administration to waive sanctions against Israel.

March 1995; Israel Charged With Systematic Harassment of U.S. Marines

August 23 1996; CIA accuses Israeli spies of theft of U.S. corporate scientific and technological data as the type of espionage that poses the greatest threat to U.S. economic competitiveness.

September 1997; Israel, as a haven for Jewish American murderers to flee to and be holed up in, refuses to extradite the Jewish murderer of an American.

June 18, 1998; Israeli businessman convicted selling chemical and biological weapons components and know-how to Iran for $16 million.

January 28, 1999; Israel transfers laser technology to Communist China, despite American outrage

February 24, 1999; Another Jewish American murderer flees to Israel and is holed up there, after killing another American.

July 30, 1999 Israeli hackers attack Pentagon

February 24, 2000; Israel again sells donated US military technology to Communist China, in the face of US outrage.

September 11, 2001; Israeli spies caught by FBI and Police cheering and photographing the WTC as it fell. What was their excuse? They said they were making a Documentary of 9/11. WTF? If they knew we were going to be attacked then why did they not warn us?

On 9/11 a group of Israelis were arrested.
1) Celebrating the attacks on us.
2) Trying to blow up the George Washington Bridge.
3) Blowing up a Van on King St near 6th and 7th.
911 Missing Links documentary. Very Interesting Information!

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7877765982288566190

15 March 2002; Israel ignores US demand to leave Palestinian territories, damaging American credibility and making America look like a hypocrite for forcing Sadam out of Kuwait but not Sharon out of Palestine.

June 28, 2002; Israel Reports Weapons Development in Iraq, also prodded by 25 neo-conservatives, mostly Jewish, Bush went to war with Iraq, costing nearly a thousand American soldiers their lives, no weapons found.

August 28.2002; Israel Supplying Iran again: Germany holds up Israeli military shipment said headed for Iran

October 4, 2002; 9/11: WHAT DID ISRAEL KNOW? – and when did they tell us?

November 17, 2003; Israel blatantly uses American weapons in violation of AECA agreements between both countries which stipulate that Israel not use such weapons in civilian territories, enraging and inflaming the animosity in the Middle East against America, even though Israel can use Israeli weapons since Israel is the 6th largest weapons producer, it consistently showcases American weapons against civilians, spreading the guilt onto America by association.

25 Apr 2009 A Delta Airlines passenger jet en route to Tel Aviv from New York had to make an emergency stop when an Israeli man attempted to hijack the plane.

Today; Israel forces America to keep silent about Israel’s nuclear weapons, again destroying America’s credibility world wide and leaving America looking like a hypocrite on it’s goal to end weapons of mass destruction world wide, also allowing the “unsecure” Israel to attempt to guard that nuclear stockpile from the Middle Eastern black market.

In conclusion, since the founding of Israel in 1950, no other country has cost America more lives, money, and damage to credibility than Israel.
