Everything That Rises Must Converge

With Obama’s honeymoon now at an end, his goal to be a transformational liberal leader is in doubt.

Everybody knew it would happen at some point.

The moment when the fresh pair of shoes got muddied, when people started to see beyond the façade, and when the curtain was lifted to reveal a tinkerer pulling levers rather than a wonderful wizard.

We are in the midst of that moment.

Back in January, just after President Obama took the oath of office, Gallup found that 68 percent of Americans approved of him, compared to just 12 percent who disapproved. Yet in the past month, those two numbers have been racing toward convergence, and as of Thursday just 52 percent approved of Obama’s handling of his job, compared to 41 percent who disapproved.

The story is the same no matter the poll, and the numbers get worse the deeper one looks into the data. Particularly troubling is that while Democrats continue to give Obama high marks, he’s losing the independents, according a poll released on Thursday by the Pew Research Center, which showed his support among the group dipping to 48 percent.

There were many points when candidate Obama looked like he was on the ropes, only to bounce back. But there are significant differences between a campaign and a presidency.

No matter how bad things got during the campaign, Obama could exploit frustration with George Bush, and employ the rhetoric of hope and change. But it’s hard to point fingers when you’re running the show.

Not that this has stopped him from trying. During last week’s prime time news conference, Obama reiterated that he inherited a $1.3 trillion deficit. And in desperate search for a foil, he used comments by Sen. Jim DeMint and Bill Kristol to argue that Republicans were blocking health care legislation. Given that Obama’s budget adds an estimated $9.3 trillion to the deficit over 10 years and that Democrats’ majorities in Congress are so large that they could pass anything without a single Republican vote, neither argument has gained any traction.

Pew found that a minority of 42 percent approve of Obama’s handling of health care; just 38 percent approve of his stewardship of the economy; and a mere 32 percent like the way he is handling the budget deficit.

At times, Obama has slipped back into the role of the consummate analyst, diagnosing the nation’s condition as if he were an outsider who has no power to change anything. “[W]e've just become so cynical about what government can accomplish,” he said during the news conference, falling back on a tired old campaign theme that he’s employed since his days as a state senator. He added, “[F]olks are skeptical, and that is entirely legitimate because they haven't seen a lot of laws coming out of Washington lately that help them.”  Apparently, he forgot that he’s been responsible for signing all of those laws.

During the campaign, Obama the salesman could convince people that he would provide everybody with a brand new luxury car for the price of an old jalopy. But after selling the American people a $787 billion stimulus package that has failed to create promised jobs, they aren’t buying his health care proposals.

After months of White House events, speeches, town hall meetings, and news conferences touting Democratic health care proposals, support for health care plans currently being discussed has cratered to 38 percent, while 44 percent now oppose them, according to Pew.

While Obama is known as a talented communicator, it turns out that the more people hear about the health care plans, the more fiercely they oppose them, and this is true even if you remove Republicans from the equation. Among independents who said they’ve heard little or nothing about health care legislation, just 35 percent opposed; but among those who said they’ve heard a lot about the proposals, opposition doubled, to 70 percent.

To be sure, just because Obama’s approval ratings have come back down to earth, it doesn’t mean he’s doomed, as polls are bound to fluctuate over the course of a presidency. But the key question confronting Obama’s presidency has been: Will he prove a complete disaster like Jimmy Carter, a politically successful president who fails to meaningfully advance liberalism like Bill Clinton, or a transformational liberal leader in the mold of Franklin D. Roosevelt?

The problem for Obama is that economic news is likely to be mostly bad over the next several months, suggesting continued downward pressure on his approval ratings in the near term. And it’s just during this time period that health care legislation will be moving through Congress. If he fails to get a health care bill passed this year, his odds of ever doing so decrease dramatically. Next year is an election year, and after the 2010 midterms, Republicans are likely to gain more power to block his agenda.

While public perception of Obama will go up and down for the rest of his time in office, the next few months will largely determine whether he’ll remake the nation in his image. No wonder he’s in such a rush.

The one thing that will push King Zero off the cliff is his very thin skin. This is a puppet who has never heard the word NO and who is used to being worshipped and adored. When people start booing him and not showing up to hear all about his tiniest Twitter today, he will crumble like a cracker in a high wind.

The best way to stop him is to point, laugh and ignore him. Its the one thing he cannot bear.

I know this is off topic, but this is my little attempt to brighten your day.

You know what would have been great to get a picture of? Obama, Gates, and the Police Officer drunk off their backsides, beer cans scattered about the Rose Garden, Obama leaning up against a tree throwing up with a cigarette, and Gates & Sgt. Crowley hanging on to each other like old long lost friends.
To top it off have Mrs. Obama yelling from the White House Veranda, " Barrack!!, you better bring your drunk black behind in the house, play time's over!"
Then the President looks at Gates, and Crowley, "Fellas, you have no idea what hell she puts me through. ...Hiccup..., could you guys help a brother out and pick up the cans for me, because, ...hiccup.., Michelle is going to wear my butt out."
"Mr. President, Mr. President the door is over here." "Crap, where did all these damn, !OUCH ...hiccup... roses come from?"

Robert Rosencrans| 7.31.09 @ 7:49AM

Obama has committed the ultimate sin. Obama has been caught in several big lies at town hall meetings because Obama lies with impunity.

Bill Clinton was clever at lying and rarely got caught with his pants down, except of course in the Oval Office.

By the way, that beer fest last night moved into staged event status which is a form of a lie. Joe Biden was bought in at the last moment so that there would be two white guys and two black guys.

This is just another indicator that Barack doesn't understand that not everyone in the public is stupid and will put up with his staged circus events.

All of his press conferences have been staged and even the sycophants in the White House press have had enough, vis a vis, the Helen Thomas Bitch Out. Where was the beer bottle then?

Perhaps Obama should keep a six pack under the podium and when things fall apart Obama could call an immediate "Time Out" like they do at kindergartens. As the beer is passed around no one would care about his lies and stupid comments as they imbibe and forget their civility.

The reason Obama's poll numbers are dropping was defined by Abraham Lincoln, someone who Obama and the press claim Obama emulate.

Here are several quotes that define precisely why Obama is in his current stream of predicaments.

Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.
Abraham Lincoln

No man has a good enough memory to make a successful liar.
Abraham Lincoln

You may deceive all the people part of the time, and part of the people all the time, but not all the people all the time.
Abraham Lincoln

The only thing that saved the Clinton Presidency was Republicans in Congress. Republicans who denied Clinton what he wanted. Republicans who stymied his energy tax, his health care grab, stalled his tax increases, reformed welfare, balanced the budget and insured the Reagan economic boom (that lasted until Democrats officially took over Congress in 2007) continued. Had Clinton gotten his agenda passed he’d have been an unpopular one term President like Jimmy Carter.

Like Carter Obama is an extremist with a radical Democrat Senate and House led by incredibly corrupt and unattractive people. Also his incessant whining and finger pointing is starting to wear thin. People are beginning to wonder when is this man going to grow up and taking responsibility for the Presidency. His and his staff’s sophomoric behavior is unbecoming and unappealing too. The constant fawning of the unpopular Democrat media is not helping the situation as people are getting tired of “Obama anytime and all the time.”

Still the American public is fickle and Obama could enjoy a rebound if the economy has a real recovery (like Bush’s after the Clinton recession and 9/11), but that is debatable as unemployment continues to rise, home foreclosures rise, the Federal government’s red ink gets redder, business and states struggle and consumers continue to act responsibly in light of the fact taxes and costs are expected to rise and rise under Obama. A weak recovery may actually only increase doubt and pessimism as the public waits for another round of pain and suffering.

Grzmlyk| 7.31.09 @ 9:38AM

Obama's election was simply a chimerical reflection of what many white Americans (and let's face it; that's what put him over the top) wanted to see in themselves: An "evolved" nature from which racism has been expunged.

Couple this with liberals' vague, quixotic and callow desire to affirm an inchoate sense selflessness in public policy that might assuage the base, primal self-interest that lies beneath their masks of "caring" and, voila, we have this small, petty, overmatched man occupying what was once the greatest office in the land.

And these fools ignored copious evidence that, far from being post-racial or truly seeking of equanimity in politics, Obama is a vain, immature, ignorant brat with a sense of entitlement, a race-centric chip on his shoulder and an ill-conceived and incomplete picture of a world he wants to tear down and rebuild into an adolescent Marxist utopia by sheer force of his self-regard and ideological momentum.

It is, then, vanity on the part of the electorate and the willingness to exploit that vanity on the part of his handlers that elevated this cipher to a position for which he is thoroughly unqualified. He hasn't the character, the knowledge, the experience, the mettle, the sense of sacrifice or duty, or even the intelligence, to lead this country anywhere except into the abyss.

I wouldn't want to put up with this boor if he got up and lectured me at a PTA meeting for five minutes; the fact that this insouciant and inescapable pseudo-wisdom emanates from the Oval Office every day is galling.

As if this guy has anything to contribute to the national discourse or to politics that isn't generic, warmed-over progressive pabulum with a generous side of grievance.

Here's hoping the foolish liberal elites who still cling to their faith in Obama and stick to their ideological guns that they will tire of the pantomime.

If that happens, we'll see this phony bare his teeth and reveal the utter emptiness that will, ironically, be the ultimate reflection of those who put him in office.

Tim| 7.31.09 @ 9:56AM

"The problem for Obama is that economic news is likely to be mostly bad over the next several months, suggesting continued downward pressure on his approval ratings in the near term. And it’s just during this time period that health care legislation will be moving through Congress. "

Hence the sudden appearance in NEWSWEEK of stories touting the end of the recession and other wonderful things.

Michael L. Hauschild| 7.31.09 @ 10:03AM

Stupidly is as stupidly does. Most seem to focus their ire at the POTUS. He is his own worse enemy and his legacy is "self assured." Besides we really have very little influence on those we did not vote for. The recess is upon us and hopefully the health care debacle is stymied till fall. It is the time to give the "representative" that you did elect a dose of democracy. Having the first speaker rip off their head and pass it around so everyone could defaecate in it would certainly be preferred, but we must maintain some civility. Try to be more vigorous than the Norman Rockwell "Freedom of Speech" painting.

Apologies for the slightly long post...

Nov 2010 can't come too soon:

Henry Ford had it right when he said: "It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning"

Derivatives, credit-default swaps, contango, blah-blah-blah ... it's mostly opaque to me too, and that's why We The People tend to just bob merrily along like happy corks as the financial oligarchy essentially does whatever it damn well pleases.

But here's something we can all grasp. It deserves to be spread far and wide (do your part!). The following is summarized from this blog post, which I recommend as a good read:

"JPMorgan Chase: recd $25 billion TARP, earned $5.6 billion in 2008, paid $8.7 billion bonuses

Goldman Sachs: recd $10 billion TARP, earned $2.3 billion in 2008, paid $4.8 billion bonuses

Morgan Stanley: recd $10 billion TARP, earned $1.7 billion in 2008, paid $4.5 billion bonuses

Citigroup: recd $45 billion TARP, lost $28 billion in 2008, paid $5.3 billion in bonuses

BankOfAmerica: recd $45 billion TARP, lost $24 billion in 208, paid $6.9 billion in bonuses.

"While of course all the Wall Street smartheads would call it a distorted comparison, it IS fair to simply take bonuses minus earnings and claim that what you have left is the part of the bankers' million dollar+ bonuses paid out of the pockets of the millions of Americans who have lost their jobs while and since the bonuses were paid."

So let's do that:

Bonus-Earnings:
JPMorgan Chase $ 3.1 billion
Goldman Sachs $ 2.5 billion
Morgan Stanley $ 2.8 billion
Citigroup $33.3 billion
BankOfAmerica $30.9 billion
TOTAL: $72.6 billion

Using the current 'continuing unemployment claims' number and rounding it down to 6 million,
that's $12,000 each unemployed person 'gave' away to the likes of Tim Geithner, Lawrence Summers, Hank Paulson, Lloyd Blankfein, ...

Nov 2010 can't come too soon.

Slight correction: two white guys and 1 1/2 black guys. Sheesh!

As for my thoughts, I think it's way past time for the general public to see through this paper puppet. Sure would have been nice if this had started prior to 11/4/08. I'm talking to YOU Bob, Liberal Reader and others.

Look for his numbers to continue to slip. Also, look for a larger number of our brilliant representatives in the house and senate to come back from their "recess" with a different outlook on so-called health care reform. They are fixin' to get an earful.

Huge grin on my face.

Big J: IT 3 white men and one black. Both the big O and gates are 1/2 and 1/2

So once again the white man stacks the deck against the black man

Gill O’Teen ✝✡| 7.31.09 @ 4:48PM

terry_tr6, I could not verify your assertion that doc gates is ½ white and ½ black. I did find an article that claims that the prof and Officer Crowley both descend from a fourth century Irish warlord and are thus distant kin. This particular warlord is literally qualified to be the father of his country, so it’s quite possible that all those living today with Irish roots are also descended from him. We O’Teens are quite proud of our Gaelic roots as we have both Irish and Scottish ancestors. And every night I honor them by enjoying some of their excellent adult beverages, though I must confess I do prefer their Bourbon County contribution to modern distilled products. Here is a link to that story:
http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/story?id=8195564&page=1
Note that though the story’s headline claims that gates is half-Irish, it does not substantiate the claim, but I really don’t expect quality journalism from the all barry channel.

On another note, I don’t claim to be an authority on American History, but there is something pinching a nerve ending in my brain that FDR actually did very little towards getting The Greatest Generation, you know, the one that obumahcare will condemn to death, out of The Depression. It took a World War to accomplish this. Now that thought really pinches my nerves. Think I’ll need to honor my Gaelic roots with a double tonight.

The “Great” O-Scam-a
By Stephen J. Gray

The “great” O-scam-a arrived in a blaze of glory
Change was his only story
Clever words with no real meaning
Had the media in adulation screaming

One person in the media compared O-scam-a to a God
But, the media is notorious for being a fraud
Propaganda merchants beyond compare
They produce an abundance of hot air

Many of the masses were also overcome
Change was a magic word for some
O-scam-a spoke and many were fooled
Now the people will be ruled

“An empty vessel makes the most sound”
And the crowds bayed praise out loud
O-scam-a, O-scam-a our lord and master
But, others thought this guy was a disaster

But hey, at least he will bring change
And the peoples' lives he will arrange
They will pay for this political trauma
Because they elected the “great” O-scam-a

Never heard of "sauce for the goose" mate, sorry.

Is it a plum sauce?

Brian B| 7.31.09 @ 7:06PM

The original saying is "What's sauce for the goose (the female) is sauce for the gander (the male)".
the reference being to two cooked geese with sauce or gravy applied to them.
The meaning being that what applies to one person applies to another, especially between a man and a woman.

BTW, you referred to the posters here as stupid by implication and explicitly as "no thinking Limbaugh regurgitators" making "middle school comments". Who expressed any other comments toward anyone else here remotely as undecorous as yours?

Gill O’Teen ✝✡| 7.31.09 @ 7:25PM

William 5, if Brian B does not mind, I wish to expound on his recent comment. By your use of the term “mate” I’m led to believe that you just might not be from my neck of the woods. It was quite popular back in the goodell days for folks to celebrate Christmas by cooking a goose. Nowadays geese are an endangered species so trillions of them are allowed to congregate on any grassy spot they like, defecate all over everything, attack yappie dogs and small children, and defy any sensible attempt to control their population such as donate their carcasses to the local food pantry. I’ve even seen an irate mother goose chase down and peck a grown man. If I had rushed to the poor guy’s defense, I would probably be playing my cell mate whatever card or board game devout Islamic terrorists are permitted under their religion’s gambling prohibition in a luxury prison down in Cuba. So I left him to his own resources. According to my Charles Dickens professor, it was common practice back then to leave the goose carcass hanging in the butcher shop window until it literally rotted off the bone. I would suspect that by modern standards this would taste just awful. So a delicious sauce was used to mask the taste of the foul fowl. I imagine that any sauce used in preparing a goose to eat would qualify for the purpose of the old expression which is “What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.” Idiomatically, it has come to mean what’s good for one person is good for the other. Since the gander is the male in goose society, some might construe it to mean something like ‘what’s good for the wife, is good for the husband.” No matter, I think we can all agree that if obumassiah gets his way on health care and cap and trade, our goose is cooked.

William 5| 7.31.09 @ 7:43PM

Brian B's story didn't add anything interesting.

Gill, on the other hand, well that was quite entertaining. Can't we at least allow the geese to attack the yappie dogs? Now that, I wouldn't mind.

You know, I think I have read almost every point-of-view possible, both pro and con towards Obamacare. However, one aspect of his reform that continually gets swept under the rug is the thousands of high paying health care-related jobs which will be lost forever under his reform plan.

In my industry, medical sales, we have already seen over 20,000 medical device sales jobs and pharmaceutical sales jobs lost in anticipation of the "new environment" for health care.

If you would like to find out more about the devastation on medical sales positions that Obamacare will cause, join us at http://www.gorillamedicalsales.com/blog

We have a President that wants to bring all the successful people down reward all those who don't want to work, feels our constitution should be changed or amended, believes in government control, he is obsessed with Power and control and now he involves himself in a case between a citizen and a police officer and tells America on national television this is a race problem. He wants division of the American people, he wants the people against each other. If he can cause uproars then he has our minds off his huge bills that he is forcing on us. He doesn't read these bills that we will pay for, he just likes to be on TV talking and showing the world how he is going to control America and the American people. He only wants to make history and he really has no care for this country that he is always apologizing for. That is ok because the American people are waking up and are REGRETTING what we have done by putting this man in our White House.

Speaking of health care, how many have read the bill (at least the latest version supplied to the public at http://is.gd/1WY7F). This pompous, arrogant man derides those who would label his pap agenda as "Socialist" yet a cursory read of the bill uncovers the following:

* The gov't will levy a 2.5% income tax on your annual income if you don't have "acceptable health care (pg 167)
* And, illegal aliens exempt (pg 50).
* And, gov't has access to everyone's bank accts (pg 59).
* And, the gov't will ration your healthcare (pg 85).
* And, small businesses of $241k payroll or higher pay 2-6% tax if don't provide public option (pg 150).
* And, "The tax imposed under this section not treated as tax."? (pg 203).
* And, doctors all paid the same... Read More (pg 241).
* And, gov't dictates that hospitals can't expand (pg 317-18).
* And, gov't *mandates* they instruct and consult on living wills and power of attorney (pg 425).
* Gov't dictates how you die and can include order to die (pg 425-29).

If this is not socialism, what exactly is it?

To Steve: About those jobs, probably not many of the employees will want to become a government bureaucrat. What I've been wondering about is the insurance reserves. Most everyone knows that insurance companies are required by state law to maintain certain reserves for payouts in later years. I'm not sure what the tally is for the "reserves" but it would be interesting to see what happens to them once socialized medicine takes effect. I guess this could be billions and billions of dollars going into the government "pot" to cover the baby boomers.

On this score, unlike social security where the government did not have a "pot" in the very beginning, the government will have a "pot" of money to waste because we all know that it won't be placed into a "lock box" for future needs.

I almost think that this is what it's all about anyway. The government getting its hands on the "evil insurance companies" reserves so it can trade it for "rotten" healthcare.

Anyone interested in figuring out this angle?

Jewish Human Sacrifice

The ancient Khazar Jews along with other of that Near East era followed a common custom of human sacrifice. The practice was to burn a young person upon an altar called a Tophet. The Old Testament of the Bible mentions this practice and condemns it. Around the Tophet altar, drums would be beaten loudly to drown out the cries of the children being burned alive. In the days of Ancient Israel the Priests of Baal would blow trumpets to drown out their screams. The Carthaginians also were worshipers of Baal and sacrificed children on a massive scale. When faced with defeat in Syracuse in 310 B.C., they cast the sons of 500 nobles into a fiery pit, or Tophet, from a scaffold shaped in the likeness of the god Baal.

In Excavations at Gezer, the archeologist R.A.S. Macalister notes that the bodies of sacrificed young children are found in every strata of Jewish remains from the earliest times.

Photographs of the children's bodies are published in Macalister's book, although the book itself, like most works which attest to the criminal nature of the Jews, is now almost unobtainable. It is classified as a rare book, and most rare book dealers are Jews.

In the Bible, Isaiah 57:3-5 the prophet, talking of the Jews of his day says:

"But draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the whore. Against whom do ye sport yourselves? against whom make ye a wide mouth, and draw out the tongue? are ye not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood, Enflaming yourselves with idols under every green tree, slaying the children in the valleys under the clefts of the rocks?"

By the phrase, "ye sons of the sorceress," Isaiah calls attention to the fact that Jewish ritual murder is a black magic rite. It is customary for the rabbi, as he drinks blood, to invoke the presence of Satan, who will then presumably carry out the wishes of the Jews. The drinkers of blood also swear eternal obedience to Satan during the blood rite.

Isaiah also calls attention to the fact that here the children are slain "under the cleft of the rocks." This refers to the Jewish ban against burying the slain gentile child, and to hiding the body in the rocks in the hopes that the gentiles will not discover their crime.

The Jewish Encyclopedia, Vol. VIII, page 653, published in 1904, says,

Michelle Obama Jew connection| 8.1.09 @ 3:07PM

German, Gerhart Hauptmann, and convicted him of the killing. Symbolically, Hauptmann, like Christ, was also a carpenter, a profession which made him a logical victim for the Jews.

Hauptmann's defense was that a Jew named Isidor Fisch had hired him to do some carpenter work, and had paid him with the bills which proved to be from the Lindbergh ransom money. Although the existence of Fisch was proven, he could not be located during the trial. The court was like the one which had convicted Jesus, for it only accepted evidence which the Jews allowed to be presented. In reality, of course, one cannot believe anything which is accepted as evidence in an American court, due to the facility of the Jews for manufacturing evidence and due to the prevalence of Jewish lawyers and judges in all American court rooms. This was also the first of many efforts of the Jews to vilify the Germans so that America would be more easily deceived into fighting a Jew's war.

A book entitled The Jew, the Gypsy, and El Islam, indicates that the Talmudic god of the Jews [Not the God of Christians] is a blood loving god:

"The Talmud declares that there are two kinds of blood pleasing to the lord, viz: (1) that of Paschal holocaust [Easter sacrifice & the Feast of Purim]; (2) that of circumcision."

According to The Jewish Encyclopedia, 1903, Vol. IV., p. 90, when performing the operation of circumcision on children, the mohel (Jewish Rabbi who does the circumcision):

"takes some wine in his mouth and applies his lips to the part involved in the operation, and exerts suction, after which he expels the mixture of wine and blood into a receptacle provided."

Among the Jews themselves, the blood rite is an integral part of the ceremony of circumcising Jewish males. According to The Jewish Encyclopedia, Vol. VI, page 99, when performing the circumcision, the mohel, or circumciser,

"takes some wine in his mouth and applies his lips to the part involved in the operation and exerts suction, after which he expels the mixture of wine and blood into a receptacle provided."

What The Jewish Encyclopedia does not tell us is that this mixture of wine and blood is then drunk by the rabbi, as a great delicacy. No other people in the world today enacts such a weird blood rite, save, perhaps, some Stone-Age natives in the deepest jungles of the Congo or New Guinea. Hatred of Christianity is a tradition among the Jews. One of the principle feast-days is that of Purim. This feast is an orgy of hate against Haman, the story of whom is found in the Book of Esther of the Old Testament, the only Jewish book in the entire Bible

At one time or another the Jews have been expelled from every country in Europe. And in almost every case it was over the charge of Ritual Murder. For once the Happy Talk coming out of the MSM will not save him. Reality has set in. The electorate knows full well the mess the President inherited. The problem isn't that they have forgotten, but that they remember - they remember his explicit promises of Nov-Feb when he pushed the massive stimulus bill through. The promise was that the spending of $787 billion would save them thier jobs. That, and his promise not to bail out Big Auto (or was it Big Union?).

Our economy is still shedding jobs and since then the President wished to borrow or tax another $1.5 trillion a year (to pay for ObamaCare). He also explicitly promises to raise hundreds of billions in new energy us taxes. The people are not stupid, and while they may like the guy they certainly do not like his policies.

The trouble with Comrade O is that the more we see of him, the more we see the real socialist liar. And the more he talks, the more he contradicts himself and exposes the fact that he's really not very knowledgeable about what he's doing, beyond grabbing power. I will say this: if America doesn't take back the House in 2010 and improve its position in the Senate -- that is to the right -- there will be no stopping these lunatics. It's not now or never for health care, but it is now or never for liberty. And if Comrade O hasn't proved that to you, you're not paying attention.

What do stuck-up elitist rockstars basking in the glow of their instant megastardom do when their popularity wanes?

They put on a new face, a new show, and sing new tunes in a self-serving and condescending bid for a broader and more loyal audience. If it works, they remain a rockstar a little longer. If it fails, they quickly fade away into the sunset of their rockstar status and are forever remembered as a 'one hit wonder' and a 'has been'.

But they'll always have their tiny entourage of quirky groupies to keep them company.

‘Obama Circled by Satans people’, ‘Michelle Obama Jew connection’, ‘History of the Jews’, or whatever you’re calling yourself next, take your Jew hatred and crawl back into the fiery pit from whence you escaped. I have known many followers of the Jewish religion and absolutely every one of them was an upstanding capitalist conservative. One introduced me to a beverage consisting of eggnog with a shot of brandy. This was his traditional Christmas toast. That’s right, dunderhead, Christmas toast. You know Christmas don’t you, when Protestants wish “Peace on earth and good will to men!" and Catholics similarly wish “Peace to Men of Good Will!” Every Jew I have ever met qualifies as a person of good will, no matter which translation of the Bible is preferred. Another Jew introduced me to matzoh ball soup which reminded me of chicken noodle soup with crackers. Tasty! Her husband was a much needed friend at a time in my life when I needed a wise and honorable person to guide me. The State of Israel has been our most dependable friend and ally in the Middle East, and remains so in spite of all obumah’s efforts to toss them into Iran’s gas ovens. Do let the doorknob hit you where the sun don’t shine as you slither away.

Not that it matters much to the likes of you, but we conservatives were screaming BLOODY MURDER as loudly as we could while GWB and the republicans in congress were spending like drunken democrats. Where do you lib's get this chant, "Your guy did it, so can mine"? Never mind, I think I know (MoveOn, Kos etc.).

This thread is probably dead, but, Marcell, why have you settled on anti-semitism as your angle of attack on this site? Most conservatives are highly supportive of Jews and of the Jewish state. I din't think crazed ravings are going to persuade anyone.

It's not that big a deal to simply scroll past this drivel; I doubt many folks even read the content. I don't.

Besides, Europe's loss throughout the last century (or more) has been America's gain.

As a huge classic movie buff, what comes to mind first for me is that, without the enormous contribution of Jews, Hollywood wouldn't even exist today.

Given the rich body of classic flicks that have been made since the industry first took shape, that alone is reason to be thankful for the Jewish people.

Not to mention their contributions to science, business, finance, literature, sports, academia and virtually every other area of human endeavor that have contributed to this country's greatness.

Now who do you think is more valuable to the advancement of humankind on this planet: The Jewish people or this pathetic, nihilistic troll?

I'm with the Jews.

As for Obama, I think Krauthammer put it very succinctly: He's insufferable, and he won't wear well - particularly if the media ever abandons him.

All things must converge, and , even though this thread, as stated, is probably played out, Geithner very recently stated in an interview:

"To get the economy back on track, will President Barack Obama have to break his pledge not to raise taxes on 95 percent of Americans? In a “This Week” exclusive, Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner told me, "We’re going to have to do what’s necessary.”

Geithner was clear that he believes a key component of economic recovery is deficit reduction. When I gave him several opportunities to rule out a middle class tax hike, he wouldn’t do it.

“We have to bring these deficits down very dramatically,” Geithner told me. “And that’s going to require some very hard choices.”

Yes, even Obama's own campaign promises have converged with the liar's index.

Its the answer told by lines that stretched around schools and churches in numbers this nation has never seen; by people who waited three hours and four hours, many for the very first time in their lives, because they believed that this time must be different; that their voice could be that difference.

Its the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled - Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been a collection of Red States and Blue States: we are, and always will be, the United States of America".

Associated Press Writer JERUSALEM (AP). The parents of an American man severely wounded by Israeli troops during a West Bank protest have asked Israeli police to launch an investigation, their lawyer said Monday. Tristan Anderson, 38, from Oakland, Calif., was struck in the head by a tear gas canister fired by members of Israel’s paramilitary border police in the Palestinian village of Naalin on March 13.

Anderson had joined a protest against Israel’s separation barrier, which cuts off Naalin from 300 acres of olive groves. In the past year, four Palestinians were killed in Naalin by Israeli troops quelling weekly stone-throwing protests against the barrier, according to Israeli human rights group B’tselem.

The couple’s lawyer, Michael Sfard, said he asked Israel’s police to launch an investigation.

The Andersons, of Grass Valley, Calif., held back tears Monday as they described their son’s critical condition. “We don’t know if he’ll recover, and if he does, we don’t know what abilities he will ever regain,” his mother, Nancy, told reporters.

His father, Mike, said Israel must “take full responsibility for the shooting of our son.”

Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor said Anderson’s injury was “an extremely regrettable result of rioting.”

The incident is under investigation, the Israeli military has said, though it is not clear if police will investigate separately.

Rachel Aliene Corrie (April 10, 1979 – March 16, 2003) was an American member of the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) who traveled to the Gaza Strip during the Second Intifada. She was killed when an Israeli soldier drove his bulldozer over her as she protested against the destruction of Palestinian homes by the Israeli Occupation Forces in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli Occupation Forces murdered Rachel Corrie, but they couldn’t kill her spirit.

He was wearing a fluorescent orange vest, and witnesses say that there had been no exchange of fire between the Israeli army and Palestinian gunmen that day. —Near

James Henry Dominic Miller (18 December 1968 – 2 May 2003) was a British (Welshman) cameraman, producer, director and recipient of numerous awards, including five Emmy Awards. He was murdered by a single shot fired by a an Israeli military sniper on 2 May 2003 while filming a documentary in Rafah. The soldier who shot him was identified as Captain Hib al-Heib.

… Tristan Anderson ‘hanging by a thread’

The Israeli military has said there was heavy stone-throwing and troops fired tear gas during the demonstration, though protesters said the stone-throwing was sporadic. Anderson did not throw any stones and was struck after he had returned to the village, witnesses said.

Rights activists say Israeli troops often use excessive force in dispersing West Bank protests, and fire tear gas canisters directly as protesters, using them as a weapon, rather than a means to disperse crowds.

The Israeli military says stone-throwing poses a threat to troops, and several officers have been injured by rocks. The military said troops used permitted means of riot dispersal, such as tear gas, rubber-coated steel pellets and stun grenades.

About 450 people have been injured, 12 of them seriously, in a year of Naalin protests, organizers say.

Israel says the barrier prevents Palestinian attackers infiltrating into Israel. Palestinians say it’s a land grab because it juts into the West Bank.

CHAPTER VII

JEWISH RITUAL MURDER IN ENGLAND BEFORE THE EXPULSION OF 1290

THE first known case happened in 1144; after that, cases cropped up from time to time until the Jews were expelled from the realm by Edward I. The most famous of these cases was that of Little St. Hugh of Lincoln in 1255. I record these cases in chronological order; and I do not deny the possibility of some of them in which details are lacking, being "trumped-up" ones, where death may have been due to causes other than ritual murder and the Jews blamed for it; but the case of St. Hugh, particularly, was juridically decided, and the Close and Patent Rolls of the Realm record definitely cases at London, Winchester and Oxford. There seems no reason to doubt that many cases of ritual murder have been unsuspected and even undiscovered.
1144- Norwich. A twelve-year-old boy was crucified and his side pierced at the Jewish Passover. His body was found in a sack hidden in a tree. A converted Jew, called Theobald of Cambridge, confessed that the Jews took blood every year from a Christian child because they thought that only by so doing could they ever obtain their freedom and return to Palestine, and that it was their custom to draw lots to decide whence the blood was to be supplied; Theobald said that last year the lot fell to Narbonne but in this year to Norwich. The boy was locally beatified and has ever since been known as St. William. The Sheriff, probably bribed, refused to bring the Jews to trial.

In J. C. Cox's Norfolk Churches, Vol. II, p. 47, as also in the Victoria Country History of Norfolk, 1906, Vol. II, is an illustration of an old painted rood-screen depicting the Ritual Murder of St. William, the screen itself is in Loddon Church, Norfolk, unless the Power of Jewish Money has had it removed. No one denies this case as a historical event, but the Jews of course say it was not a Ritual Murder. The Jew, C. Roth, in his The Ritual Murder Libel and the Jew (1935) says: "Modern enquirers, after careful examination of the facts, have concluded that the child probably lost consciousness in consequence of a cataleptic fit, and was buried prematurely by his relatives." How these modern enquiries arrived at a conclusion like that after all these years, Mr. Roth does not say; nor is it a compliment to the Church to suggest that its ministers would allow the boy's death to be celebrated as a martyrdom of a saint without having satisfied themselves that wounds on the body confirmed the crucifixion and the piercing of the side. And why the relatives should bury the boy in a sack and then dig it up and hang it in a tree would puzzle even a Jew to explain.

John Foxe's Arts and Monuments of the Church records this ritual murder, as did the Bollandists and other historians. The Prior, William Turbe, who afterwards became Bishop of Norwich, was the leading light in insisting that the crime was one of Jewish Ritual Murder; in the Dictionary of National Biography (edited by a Jew!) it is made clear that his career, quite apart from this Ritual Murder case, is that of a man of great strength of character and moral courage.

1160- Gloucester. The body of a child named Harold was found in the river with the usual wounds of crucifixion. Sometimes wrongly dated 1168. Recorded in Monumenta Germania Historica, Vol. VI (Erfurt Annals); Polychronicon, R. Higdon; Chronicles, R. Grafton, p. 46.

1181- Bury St. Edmunds. A child called Robert was sacrificed at Passover. The child was buried in the church and its presence there was supposed to cause 'miracles.' Authority: Rohrbacher, from the Chronicle of Gervase of Canterbury.

1192- Winchester. A boy crucified. Mentioned in Jewish Encyclopedia as being a false charge. Details lacking.

1232- Winchester. Boy crucified. Details lacking. Mentioned in Hyamson's History of the Jews in England; also in Annals of Winchester; and conclusively in the Close Roll 16, Henry III, membrane 8, 26.6. 1232.

1235- Norwich. In this case, the Jews stole a child and hid him with a view to crucifying him. Haydn's Dictionary of Dates of date 1847, says of this case, "They (the Jews) circumcise and attempt to crucify a child at Norwich; the offenders are condemned in a fine of 20,000 marks." Further authority Huillard Breolles Grande Chronique, III, 86. Also Close Roll, 19 Henry III, m 23.

1244- London. A child's body found unburied in the cemetery of St. Benedict, with ritual cuts. Buried with great pomp in St. Paul's. Authority: Social England, Vol. I, p. 407, edited by H. D. Traill.

1255- Lincoln. A boy called Hugh was kidnapped by the Jews and crucified and tortured in hatred of Jesus Christ. The boy's mother found the body in a well on the premises of a Jew called Joppin or Copinus. This Jew, promised by the judge his life if he confessed, did so, and 91 Jews were arrested; eventually 18 were hanged for the crime. King Henry III himself personally ordered the juridical investigation of the case five weeks after the discovery of the body, and refused to allow mercy to be shown to the Jew Copinus, who was executed.

Hugh was locally beatified, and his tomb may still be seen in Lincoln Cathedral, but the Jewish Money Power has evidently been at work, for between 1910 and 1930, a notice was fixed above the shrine as follows:

"The body of Hugh was given burial in the Cathedral and treated as that of a martyr. When the Minster was repaved, the skeleton of a small child was found beneath the present tombstone. There are many incidents in the story which tend to throw doubt upon it, and the existence of similar stories in England and elsewhere points to their origin in the fanatical hatred of the Jews of the Middle Ages and the common superstition, now wholly discredited, that ritual murder was a factor of Jewish Paschal Rites. Attempts were made as early as the 13th century by the Church to protect the Jews against the hatred of the populace and against this particular accusation."

At a recent visit to Lincoln of the Jewish Historical Society, in 1934, the Mayor, Mr. G. Deer, said to them: "That he (St. Hugh) was done to death by Jews for ritual purposes cannot be other than a libel based upon the prejudices and ignorance of an unenlightened age." The Chancellor on the same occasion said: "It was quite obviously one of the very many cases of slander spread about the Jews from time to time. No doubt, the child died or fell down the well."

These people, Jews and Gentiles, bring no evidence whatever for their statements; it couldn't have happened, they say. Why not?

Was Henry III, weak in character as we know him to have been, ever charged with being an immoral man? Did the judges not examine the body, which was only four weeks dead? Is Haydn's Dictionary of Dates (1847 edition) medieval and superstitious when it said of this case "They (the Jews) crucify a child at Lincoln, for which 18 are hanged"? There are no 'ifs' and 'buts' here! Or does Copinus's confession not tally with that of Theobald, quoted above in the first Norwich case? Copinus said, "For the death of this child, nearly all the Jews in England had come together and every town had sent deputies to assist in the sacrifice."

No one questions the historical facts in this case; but Jews and Judaised Gentiles unite in denying the fact of Ritual Murder.

Strack, in his The Jew and Human Sacrifice, written in defence of the Jews against the Blood Accusation, omits all mention of this famous case, which is the subject of the Prioress's Tale (Canterbury Tales) of Chaucer and is referred to in Marlowe's Jew of Malta. Hyamson's History of the Jews in England devotes the whole of Chapter IX to "Little St. Hugh of Lincoln," showing the importance of the Ritual Murder issue in the Jewish mind today.

The following Close Rolls of the Realm refer to the case of St. Hugh: Henry III, 39, m. 2,7.10 1255; 39, m. 2,14.10.1255; 40, m. 20, 24.ii.. 1255; 40,m.13,13.3.1256; 42, m. 6; 19.6.1258. And the Patent Rolls, Henry III, 40,m.20,26.11.1255; 40,m.19,9.12.1255; 40,27.3.1256; and 40,m.5, 20.8.1256.

1257. London. A child sacrificed. Authority: Cluverius. Epitome Historia, p. 541. Details lacking.

1276. London. Boy crucified. Authority: The Close Roll of the Realm, 4, Edward I, membrane 14, 3.3.1276.

1279. Northampton. A child crucified. Haydn's Dictionary of Dates, 1847, says of this case: "They (the Jews) crucify a child at Northampton for which 50 are drawn at horses' tails and hanged." Further authorities: Reiley, Memorials of London, p. I5; H. Desportes, Le Mystere du Sang.

1290. Oxford. The Patent Roll 18 Edward I, mem. 21, 21st June, 1290, contains an order for the gaol delivery of a Jew, Isaac de Pulet, detained for the murder of a Christian boy at Oxford.

Only one month after this, King Edward issued his decree expelling the Jews from the Kingdom. There is, then, every reason to believe that it was the Oxford murder which proved the last straw in toleration.

The reader will see (p. 20) that it was a similar ritual case which was one of the main stimulants to the King and Queen of Spain to expel professing Jews from that country in 1492.

The Jews, in attempting to escape responsibility for these deaths by Ritual Murder, do not hesitate to impugn the probity of two of the Kings of England, against whose moral character no one else has dared to cast a slur. Here are some examples. From the Jewish Chronicle Supplement, April, 1936, p. 8 (speaking of the Lincoln case in the reign of Henry III):

"Henceforth and especially under the zealously Christian Edward I, the Crown and its officers became almost a worse peril to the Jews than mobs intent on loot and led on by fanatic priests and knightly spendthrifts who had borrowed Jewish money. When 18th century writers of history began to examine the old records in a new sceptical temper, some may be found venturing on such unkind surmises as that the alleged crucifictions of Christian children only seemed to happen when kings were short of money." The foul accusation against men of upright character is repeated by the Jew Hyamson (History of the Jews in England, 1928 edition, p. 21), writes: "it has also been pointed out that the Blood Accusation was as a rule made at a time at which the Royal Treasury needed replenishing."

To deny that the cases of St. William of Norwich and St. Hugh of Lincoln were Jewish Ritual Murders is to accuse certain English Kings, certain English Clergy, and certain English administrators, known to be men of good morals, of murdering and torturing Jews to get their money, after accusing them of horrible crimes. In the case of St. Hugh, the sentence was juridical; in the case of St. William, the mob took the matter into their own hands because the Sheriff would take no action himself.

Whom do you believe the Jews or the English?

"It is difficult to refuse all credit to stories so circumstantial and so frequent." So says Social England concerning Ritual Murders in England Vol. I, p. 407, I893, edited by H. D. Traill.

A significant fact is that Haydn's Dictionary of Dates, at least up to 1847, quoted the Ritual Murders in Norman and Plantagenet England as undisputed facts. In later editions in the sixties, all mention of them is extirpated! We may take it that the Jewish Money Power began to dictate to the Press in England somewhere in the fifties of the last century.
