I believe the last time I looked (http://tvbythenumbers.com/2009/01/13/cable-news-ratings-for-monday-january-12/10776) FOX news enjoyed a comfortable lead in EVERY demographic & time slot over all of Mr. Mathews lefty favorites. Next time Mr. Mathews, kindly do yourself and your ilk a service and come prepared. The author is moving in the wrong direction with radio. Instead of locking up spectrum with property rights larger sections hsould be availble for open access with digital encoding and spread spectrum technology thousands of transmitters can occupy the same section of spectrum. There is no need to monopolize spectrum when a arket will work better.

What would l'il davey do if absolutely no one responded or reacted to his comments? Wouldn't it be an exercise in freedom to simply ignore him or her and continue the discussion? It would seem that would be the way to deal with the nastyness and lack of content from l'il davey.
So, in that vein, I agree with Mr. Farrara and believe it would be a total lack of awareness on the part of conservatives NOT to see this liberal formula take shape under BHO's leadership. I will petition my local radio station to be included in a board.

You seem offended by this article. I'm glad. It's good that you still have the right to be offended. It goes along nicely with my 1st amendment right to free speech. Any society with free speech is by definition going to have a right to be offended.

I agree wholeheartedly with the authors concern over the governments (democratic governments that is) desire control the media. I understand that you don't want anyone to disagree with you. A lot of us do. That's our right.

The key to a democracy is not vomiting back whatever drivel your chosen leader spouts that particular day. It's about applying a critical eye to events and decisions (regardless of who they come from) and trying to reach an equitable compromise that serves the entire populace. It requires reasonable, rational thought.

Well, for what it's worth, here's the opinion of someone who has been watchng Communism infiltrate and devour our public school system and governmemt since the 60's.

Much MORE than half the country is just like this guy--and the scales will NEVER fall from their eyes because scales don't just fall from the eyes of people who have been brainwashed from childhood up, unless they are deprogrammed--and that takes a lot of effort and time.

At least one, if not two, whole generations of Americans have been brainwashed from Kindergarden to College in Socialism and Marxism. These are the people who NOW run our government, the media, the schools and colleges, and every other part of American infrastructure.

On top of that, most of the millions of illegals who are about to become legal citizens love socaialism.

In addition, the blacks in this country will NEVER turn on Obama because most of them are racists to the corfe, and they will support him no matter what he does.

Conservatives have not faced reality yet. What commi-Matthews says is true--unfortunately--and he will never "wake up". He's a Marxist zombie--no longer human.

It's the Conservatives who are about to wake up and realize that while they were trying to take the high road and act righteously all these years in fithting liberalism, they were only setting the stage for their own demise.

The only way to fight liberals and facists and communists is with the same techiniques THEY use--murder, bribary, cheating, stealing, constant propoganda, accusations of extremisim and so forth.

In the realm of geo-politics, the "good guys" don't win--the evil ones do. You can only fight fire with fire in this realm. Self righteous Rebublicans lost the battle for the soul of this nation years ago and it's far too late to ever get that soul back.

Let us not waste time on people who are simply spewing out what comes out of the last MoveOn.org article they absorbed. We need to join together in order to preserve the nation that has protected all of our freedoms up until now. Read the Constitution (yes, read it), and insist with your vote and any other means possible that our elected officials obey it. We need to hold these people accountable, but it has to be done by banding together with one common goal: to preserve our Constitution and our freedom. Our freedom is not to be taken lightly. Without freedom, we have no other "rights." They will be subject to the will of whatever tyrant is put into office.

We need to stop arguing and start acting. Show up at the rallies, write your congressmen, join the movement and do not be shy in voicing your opinions. Use your talents, use the internet, use whatever means you have while you still have to freedom to do so.

The one question that comes to my mind when the CNN reporter asked the protester what "Liberty" has to do with the tea party protests, made me realize: It has EVERYTHING to do with why people were protesting: higher taxes, the economy, government bailouts, etc., leading the way to growing the government and increasing government control over our lives and our beliefs. Without freedom, nothing else matters.

We owe our dedication to the people who have fought and died to preserve our freedom. We cannot sit idly by, allowing the line in the sand to keep moving back - there will come a day when it will be too late. "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." Regardless of where this quotation really originated, its truth cannot be contested.

Keep your focus simple, do not expect everyone to agree with every ideal or belief you have - just the most important, all-encompassing ideal which affects everything you do: Freedom.
