‘When You Tell One Lie, It Leads to Another’

by
Rep.-elect George Santos (Eyewitness News ABC7NY/YouTube)

“My sins here are embellishing my resume,” 34-year-old Rep.-elect George Santos told the New York Post. “I’m sorry.”

The Republican admits he neither worked for Goldman Sachs nor graduated from Baruch College. He’s also apparently Catholic and not Jewish.

In his own defense, he says that he merely claimed to be “Jew-ish” rather than Jewish. That itty-bitty change makes all the difference, apparently.

“I am not a criminal,” he insists. “This [controversy] will not deter me from having good legislative success. I will be effective. I will be good.”

Democrats call lying a disqualifier for the office. Did you also think it a prerequisite?
