Or Is the Cain Train Still Departing?
by

Herman Cain just gave a long, odd interview with Fox’s Neil Cavuto in which he said he would make a final decision about staying in the race next week. He cited several criteria, two of which provide conflicting signals.

First, he mentions his family. Politicians usually mention their family when they are getting ready to bow out. Second, he mentions feedback from his supporters. Is Cain asking for an outpouring of personal and financial support, as when Ross Perot said he would run for president if the people wanted him to?

Either way, Cain sounded a much less certain trumpet about staying in the presidential race than he did in Ohio earlier today.
