Family Research Council President Tony Perkins isn’t happy with Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, a possible 2012 Republican presidential candidate. Perkins went after Daniels with a series of Twitter posts after the Hoosier said pro-choice former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice would make a good running mate.
Perkins wrote, “After signing a bill to #defundpp, Gov. Daniels poked pro-lifers in the eye again when he suggested Condoleezza Rice as a running mate.” Perkins followed up with a later post, “Dr. Rice has stellar national defense credentials, but she has long held pro-abortion views. She’s a non-starter w/social conservatives.” He then concluded, “It’s ironic, however, that Gov Daniels would seek a truce w/liberals while attacking sensibilities of social conservatives in his own party.”
