Newt Gingrich continues to float the possibility of running in 2012. The Fort Worth Star Telegram reports that in a book appearance:
He said he’ll decide in February or March whether to make a bid for the office. It’s an enticing thought, he said.
“The clear, vivid choice between where Obama would take us and I think where most Americans want to go makes it very appealing to see if we could actually run a very issue- and education-oriented campaign,” he said.
In the run-up to 2008, Gingrich exploited speculation about a possible presidential bid to promote his brand, books, and American Solutions conference before deciding not to launch a campaign. Until he actually announces he’s running, I’ll continue to assume that’s the case this time around.
