On my RSS feed, you could find a blog for anything from politics to pipe smoking. After jumping into beer blogging, I’ve followed and read a few different beer news sites, which I present to you here this week.

The large and stark images, the up-to-date releases, and the simple reviews attracted me to this site. These guys are also very active on Twitter. Very excited for this beer.
This is the coolest blog on my list. Michael Kiser, along with Gary Vaynerchuk, are digital marketing inspirations. Kiser, the founder of this blog, is a brand consultant; he gets to go around the nation helping breweries build their labels.

The above podcast referred me to Jeff Alworth’s blog. A writer in Portland, Jeff is one of the best journalists of the craft beer movement in Oregon, probably the most “saturated” brewery market in the United States.
Along with beer reviews and releases, Jeff comments on the status of the industry, such as the changing definition of beer by the Brewing Association. I especially appreciate his “Good Reads” section referring to great beer writing across the Internet.
His best writing is encapsulated in this enduring question that bothers many: Why no pitchers?
If you want straight beer news without the commentary, get it here. This site posts the most frequently. It started as a geeky hobby, but now serves over 200,000 readers.
