Fake News Tonight

by

So here I am in my wife’s room at St. John’s hospital in Santa Monica. She’s been recovering from a devastating attack of pneumonia that was close to lethal when an ambulance brought her in two weeks ago.

It’s been slow and frightening. I sit here with her eight hours per day. She’s my goddess. I couldn’t live without her.

This is a great hospital. The nurses are angels. The room is bright and airy. Great stuff.

It’s June 16 and it’s the 45th anniversary of the CIA tip that got the Watergate burglars arrested.

I can still remember the night it happened very clearly. I was watching the local news in DC with my dear friend Pat and saw the item. It seemed puzzling from the start… and trivial.

But the CIA/mainstream media nexus blew it into a hurricane. It was the ultimate in fake news. And it brought the whole Establishment snob class down on the ultimate peacemaker, Richard Nixon.

The man who ended the Vietnam War, who saved the lives of hundreds of millions… saved them from misery… by opening China, who saved Eretz Israel in the Yom Kippur War, who was literally the best friend we Jews have ever had, who desegregated the last holdout school districts, who brought the POWs home from the Hanoi Hilton, who created the Lasting Structure of Peace in which we all live, this saint, The Peacemaker, was hounded from office by the self-regarding jackal pack.

ABC is running a two-hour hatchet job tonight on Nixon. The creature who interviewed me for it was totally ignorant of RN’s foreign policy triumphs. All she knew was hate. Poor thing.

So… now time has passed. Much has happened but we still owe peace to Richard Nixon. And the haters keep hating and lying. And we are now crucifying another President with fake news. “What is truth,” said jesting Pilate, “and would not stay for an answer.”

You certainly won’t learn it from the mainstream, America-hating media. Maybe you have to have been there.

Never mind. My wife is getting better. That’s what counts. The liars you will always have with you.
