Candidate Obama Was Silent on Voter Fraud in Pennsylvania in 2008, 2012

Former President Barack Obama recently made a campaign stop in Virginia for Democratic gubernatorial nominee Terry McAuliffe. At the event, he said that Republicans are ‘“trying to systematically prevent” American citizens from voting. He went on:

“All across the country, Democrats are trying to make it easier to vote, not make it harder to vote and push back on Republicans who are trying to systematically prevent ordinary citizens from making their voices heard. You have to ask yourself, why is it Republicans don’t want you to vote?’”

Well now. Isn’t that interesting?  Let’s hop in the time capsule and rocket back to 2008 and 2012 when Obama himself was running for election and re-election. And let’s focus on exactly what was going on with Pennsylvania Democrats at the time.

As I have written in this space before, there were all kinds of shenanigans going on before the 2008 presidential election in Pennsylvania. I attended a press conference in the state capital in Harrisburg and reported this:

A retired Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice says that she is ‘not confident we can get a fair election’ in the state come November.

Justice Sandra Newman, accompanied by Dauphin County District Attorney Edward Marsico and Pennsylvania Republican State Chairman Robert Gleason, expressed her concerns at a Harrisburg press conference this morning. A thick document replete with photo copies of phony registrations and aerial shots of vacant lots used as ‘addresses’ for ‘voters’ was handed out to journalists.

Gleason was even more explicit.

‘Between March 23rd and October 1st, various groups, including ACORN, submitted over 252,595 registrations to the Philadelphia County Election Board” with 57, 435 rejected for faulty information. Most of these registrations were submitted by ACORN, and rejected due to fake social security numbers, incorrect dates of birth, clearly fraudulent signatures, addresses that do not exist, and duplicate registrations. In one case, a man was registered to vote more than 15 times since the Primary election.’

‘Voter fraud is no longer just a Philadelphia problem,’ Gleason said, with ACORN targeting key counties across the state.

Counties specifically cited for voter fraud included Philadelphia, Delaware (suburban Philadelphia), Dauphin (the state capital of Harrisburg), Allegheny (Pittsburgh), Centre (home of Penn State University) and Erie.

The response from the Obama campaign — which was, of course, the beneficiary of the fraud was total silence.

Then in 2012, after Obama defeated Republican Mitt Romney in Obama’s re-election race, the Philadelphia Inquirer had this headline: “In 59 Philadelphia voting divisions, Mitt Romney got zero votes.”

It’s one thing for a Democratic presidential candidate to dominate a Democratic city like Philadelphia, but check out this head-spinning figure: In 59 voting divisions in the city, Mitt Romney received not one vote. Zero. Zilch.

And the response from Obama? Complete silence.

To use Obama’s words, when Democrats and their allies “systematically” prevented “ordinary citizens from making their voices heard” in Pennsylvania in 2008 and 2012, candidate Barack Obama and his campaign were stone cold silent.

In other words, voter fraud is a game with Obama and his fellow Democrats. They will engage in it systematically, repeatedly, and then holler loudly when Republicans work to clean up the system to prevent exactly the kind of voter fraud that helped Obama steal Pennsylvania votes in 2008 and 2012.

Shocking.

Not.
