Somebody needs to save the republic from the screw-ups of the head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. Twice, the increasingly counterproductive senator from Texas, John Cornyn, told Larry Kudlow that for the GOP to retake the Senate this year would be “numerically impossible.” Amazing. As Bugs Bunny was fond of saying, “what a maroon.”
Imagine Ike telling the soldiers before D-Day that they would all die on the beach, in vain. Imagine Lombardi telling the Packers that winning is a pipe dream. Imagine Yoda telling Luke Skywalker that the Force was kaput.
John Cornyn joins RNC chairman Michael Steele, who told the world that Republicans aren’t ready to lead.
These statements should be fireable offenses. Nuff said.
