Here is The New York Times headline on today’s Israeli election:
Tepid Vote for Netanyahu in Israel Is Seen as Rebuke
With a headline like that you would have thought that Benjamin Netanyahu lost the election. It’s true that he did not earn the same level of support that he did in 2009 but Bibi is still Prime Minister and will form a new government.
Let me put it this way. Barack Obama had four million fewer votes than he did in 2008. Did The New York Times proclaim Obama’s reduced vote as a rebuke? Here is their headline from November 7, 2012:
