From the Washington Post‘s article on Hillary Clinton’s proposal:
Now, with states such as Massachusetts mandating universal care and even Republicans such as California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger pushing similar initiatives, Clinton’s proposal is not as politically daunting as it might have been even four years ago.
Again, by ceding so much ground to liberals, Romney’s Massachusetts plan has made it much more likely that we’ll see a Hillary-style healthcare plan at the national level.
