New Orleans expatriates all over the country keep tabs on their city, their home, through Rose’s columns. This latest one is a virtual love letter to our city, and it is just wonderful. Read it. And then read it again. And then ask if we should let this magical place wallow in crime and misery, as the Bush administration continues to do, and as the city’s own political leadership seems pathetically incapable of fixing.
