When the clock struck twelve and the government lost a glass slipper in its mad dash for the pumpkin carriage, Nancy Pelosi was there trying to make sense of it all.
The Republicans “don’t believe in government. They’re anti-government ideologues,” Pelosi said, struggling to find the words.
“It’s the Tea Party shutdown of government,” she pronounced, and it’s tough to watch.
This statement falls right in with the Democrat party line and rhetorical strategy in the wake of Shutdown-gate, which has likened Republicans to anarchists, terrorists, and even murderers.
