Both NBC and CNN have canceled their planned “documentaries” about Hillary Clinton. This probably comes as a relief to Hillary since the political pressure on the networks would likely have caused them to offer a product just slightly closer to “fair and balanced” than the hagiographies which were no doubt in the works.
In a note for the Puffington Host, the would-be director of CNN’s project, Charles Ferguson, groused that “nobody, and I mean nobody, was interested in helping me make this film”…before going on to blame political pressures from both sides of the political aisle. He’s probably right, of course, but the idea of a “documentary” about a likely presidential candidate (whom everybody has already heard of) shortly before the election deserves scorn and rejection no matter the reason.
