A Word on Tim Scott
by

I wrote a blog post earlier today about how Sen. Tim Scott, a Republican and the only African-American senator, reportedly wasn’t invited to yesterday’s rally commemorating the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s March on Washington. This had been widely reported and discussed. Earlier today, Roll Call reported that a source close to the event said that Scott was initially invited to attend as a spectator. He declined and therefore was not invited as a speaker. “Much of the speaking program was created based on those who were able to confirm availability to attend the event, and thus were able to speak at the event,” the source told Roll Call.

Due to the sensitive nature of this subject, until we can confirm what happened, we’re taking down my post. If I unwittingly passed on bad information, then I regret it and apologize.
