McCain Knows He’s Ahead

He doesn’t bite at an opportunity to attack Romney and instead touts his own role as an “agent of change” including of course his role in reversing course in Iraq. He talks campaign finance reform, spending and line item veto. Romney won’t repeat his earlier criticism of McCain as an ineffective reformer to McCain’s face. Instead he makes his own change, Washington outsider pitch. UPDATE: McCain’s demeanor is very different tonight– calm and forceful but not aggressively trying to draw blood against Romney.
