Benjamin Brophy

Director of New Media & Visual Communications

Benjamin Brophy is the Director of New Media & Visual Communications for The American Spectator. In this role, Ben heads up the American Spectator's efforts online and looks to create new products such as short films, photographs and infographics. Some of Ben's work can be seen at www.thedistrictmedia.com and his personal blog can be found at www.benjaminbrophy.com.

Originally from New Jersey, Ben currently lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife Marion. Despite the beltway address, Ben will never forget his Jersey roots. He came to Washington in order to pursue his graduate degree at American University. Previously, Ben has worked on Capitol Hill. After that, Ben joined Malaria No More, a non-profit dedicated to helping eliminate malaria deaths by 2015. In 2011, Ben joined The Public Notice as their New Media Director. While there, Ben led the relaunch of the Bankrupting America website as well as the launch of the Washington Could Learn a Lot campaign. He loves all things Philadephia sports and his two cats, Hemingway and Socrates, who are way more intellectual than he is.
