Money, Money, Money

According to President Obama's tax returns, he reported an adjusted gross income of $5.5 million in 2009, mostly due to book sales. Of that, he gave $329,100 to different charities. Such generosity!

President Bush, on the other hand, in 2007 reported an adjusted gross income of $923,807. He too, was a charitable man and gave $165,660 that year.

Still, the numbers appear meager compared to our current President, except Bush gave nearly 18% of his money away. Obama only gave 6%.

Ah, the perils of socialism: It's so easy to give someone else's money away; it's much harder to give away your own.

They both gave the exact amount the other gave? Did BO copy GWB? I'm guessing that's how he got through Harvard.

You're not including the $1.4 million Nobel Peace Prize that Obama won and donated to charity. If you include that donation, Obama gave away over 25% of his money.

He SAID he would donate that cash, last I heard he hadn't actually donated one cent.

The reason the Nobel Prize money was not included is because it was never his. According to the Constitution a sitting President can only accept such an award on behalf of the American people and is not allowed to keep it for himself. President Obama donated 1.4 million of the American people's money to the charities of his choosing.

I suspect that based on income he is one of the wealthiest US Presidents ever. Has someone run the numbers on this? You know that the liberal media won't dare go there.

Obama is a living, breathing Mystery Man. It is a mystery where he was born. It is a mystery about his elementary school records. His High School History and transcripts. College entrance exam scores, grades, transcripts, thesis, etc...

Most scholars have concluded that his source of wealth (Dreams From My Father) was written by William Ayers, Obama's close personal friend and mentor. Ayers was a professed Socialist and Communist that founded the Weather Underground and went around blowing up buildings in the 60s and 70s.

It is as though he dug a hole and tossed into the great abyss his background investigation files.
