One word -- wow!

"If I'm corrupt, it's because I take care of my district," Mr. Murtha said. "My job as a member of Congress is to make sure that we take care of what we see is necessary. Not the bureaucrats who are unelected over there in whatever White House, whether it's Republican or Democrat. Those bureaucrats would like to control everything. Every president would like to have all the power and not have Congress change anything. But we're closest to the people."

It is pretty evident his elavator does not quiet reach the top floor , but what he says about being corrupt because of what he does for his district makes it true ,he is not quiet all there , even after what he called the people in his district during the campaion they still re-elected him, doesn't say much for the people in his district thou does it?

Thomas Jefferson, "People get the government they deserve." I have seen the enemy, and we are it. God help us.

Wow indeed Mr. Klein. Of all the foot-in-mouth quotes I've heard from that man, that one has to be right up there at the top. I think he has taken that whole "government for the people" thing just a bit out of context.
