The Minnesota state Canvassing Board made two rulings today, both of which provide a boost to Al Franken, and both of which will be subject to further litigation. The major victory for Franken was the Board's ruling that improperly rejected absentee ballots should be counted. There could be 1,600 such ballots statewide, according to estimates, and Franken had an advantage in absentee voting. So, if they do end up getting counted after legal maneuvers by Norm Coleman, there's a good chance that it would eat into Coleman's current 192-vote lead. Additionally, the Board ruled that 133 "mystery" ballots that could not be found in one Minneapolis precinct should be counted, as they originally were on election day. Franken won those by a net of 46 votes, and the Coleman campaign has questioned whether they were missing in the first place. The other looming issue is over the thousands of ballots that have been challenged during the recount. Both campaigns have been cutting back on the number of challenges before the Board is set to begin reviewing them next week.

What a joke! We look like a Banana Republic more and more every day.

Minnesota is showing the rest of the Country how to do a recount in a razor tight race. They are following the law, maintaining transparancy, and taking the time needed to do the job right.
I will be confident in the result in either case.
If only the State of Florida had been given this opportunity in 2000 rather than have the Supreme Court make the decision for the people of Florida, and thus, the entire country.

This is exactly how the Democrats stole the Gubernatorial race in Washington state: Keep countin' the votes until the Demos win, even if the votes counted outnumber the residents living in that precinct. Another Demo/ACORN theft.

So far there have been no credible claims of misbehavior by either side, but there's been an incredible amount of hot air about Franken stealing the election.
The election is going exactly on schedule. It's been completely routine with no problems. The recount was automatic and the earliest this election could have been decided was December 19.
The two questions were decided today by a board consisting of one Democrat, two Republican judges, one Jesse Ventura appointed judge, and one unaffiliated judge. Coleman is taking the board's decision to court and there's nothjing wrong with that.

Minnesota's recount is anything But routine. The Demos are trying to steal another election. Let's see if the Republicans can stop Soros/ACORN this time.

Just another leftwing attempt to steal an election that they could not win. The man handling things for Franken is the same guy who helped
Gregoire steal her election in Washington after five or six recounts. Always under Den administration.

Franken is really hot too. I can't wait for gay marriage to be legal everywhere, cause I want to marry him.
Tony| 12.13.08 @ 2:57AM
He's already married, but who knows, John, he'd probably dig a tranny like you.
Glen| 12.13.08 @ 10:46AM
This is a replay of Washington. Franken was a terrible comedian and will be even worse as a politician. He doesn't have a clue.
Keith| 12.13.08 @ 3:27PM
"Steal another election," huh? Repugnicans know ALL ABOUT that--look at the dimwit we've had in the White House for the last eight years, how *he* got there, and the state he left the country in.
Tony| 12.13.08 @ 4:53PM
Keith, don't lie, you demoncrap.
ruth| 12.13.08 @ 7:00PM
Hey, Keith, your Obamassiah is already drowning in scandal; even before his Inauguration! Must be a record, even beats Clinton. He is unqualified and unvetted--and it shows.
notmypresident09| 12.13.08 @ 7:18PM
Hey Keith, your mom doesnt agree with you. I asked her last night. I guess you couldnt hear our converstion from the your basement apartment with Obama taped over your bed
ruth| 12.13.08 @ 8:59PM
RedEye?
Joe | 12.14.08 @ 2:53AM
What I love is that, now that Obama's 'in the loop,' every time he opens his mouth, he sounds a little more like GW Bush. Whenever my Demo in-laws see me coming, I'm smiling, and they don't want to talk about it.
Joe| 12.14.08 @ 2:58AM
I can't think of anyone offhand less deserving of a senate seat than Al Franken. Even Carol Mosley-Braun worked in a courthouse. Franken has never done anything but stand safely across the street and throw rocks at people trying to build. Now he wants to be put in charge. Terrible.
